Come join us for the 32nd Annual 5k Run to Educate on August 7, 2026. The race begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Bellefontaine High School Track. When the LCEF Run To Educate committee was organizing the event as a fundraiser for the foundation, the topic of awards came up. It was discussed that a popular distance for a run is 5K or about 3.1 miles. In mathematics, Pi is a mathematical constant whose value is the ratio of any circle's circumference to its diameter. It is approximately equal to 3.14159 in the usual decimal notation. The committee thought it would be a great tie in to link a mathematical term to an event sponsored by an educational foundation. So that is why every year pies are awarded to the top male and female finisher. Kasson Festival in the Park 5k Run/Walk and Kids Run Kids run will start at 8am. Ages 10 and under are encouraged to participate. There is no registration or registration fee for the kids run. The 5k will start at 8:15am with awards to follow once all competitors have finished. All 5k registrants who register before August 1st will receive a Kasson Festival in the Park 5k t-shirt. Those who register after August will receive a t-shirt while supplies last. The 5k will be chip timed. Packet with bib, chip, and t-shirt will be available pre-race starting at 7:30am. Eddy Trail Races are based at Chi Rho Center on the south side of Lake Sylvia, on the outskirts of Annandale, MN. The 50k and a half marathon run through the Stanley Eddy Park Reserve, a wonderful series of trails in our nook of the state. Big Eddy and The Eddy are more than just races, they are beautiful MN trails, an experience of elevation, pain, perseverance, comradery, and so much more! Mississippi's premier Kids Triathlon is coming back to Reunion on Saturday, August 8th, 2026. We will have two kid's age groups, a Junior division (6-10) and a Senior division (11-15). The Ore to Shore is set in the beautiful Upper Peninsula and utilizes much of the same trail as the popular Noquemanon Ski Marathon. HARD ROCK (48 MILE POINT-TO-POINT)The race course traverses some of the most scenic terrain available in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The course starts in downtown Negaunee, which is the “birthplace” of iron ore mining in Michigan. The first two miles will be a roll-out on pavement, and then the race will hit the dirt as you make your way to Ishpeming. There you will detour through downtown and travel the city streets for another mile. Then you’re back on the trails. The course will roll with the hills as you gradually drop in elevation to Marquette. You will be captivated as you pass by the lakes, rivers, ponds, and wildlife along the way. The beautiful loop course will start and finish in the Snowbowl base area. The 9.3 mile course will climb for 4.65 miles on a mixture of dirt and double track roads. You will reach the top of the climb, and the only aid station on the course, at the top of Grizzly Chair. From there you will enjoy a beautiful 4.65 mile descent down the popular stretch of single track in the ski area, known as Beargrass Highway. This trail will bring you all the way back to the base area and finish line. The Sweet Pea Run 5K/10K is a great community event hosted by the Big Sky Wind Drinkers and is one of the oldest running races in Bozeman. It's held the weekend of the Sweet Pea Festival of the Arts as a liaison event. This is a fun, family event as well as a competitive running race offering cash prizes. Thanks to our special sponsors, The Billings Clinic and members of the Big Sky Wind Drinkers Running Club, this race will be FREE this year for kids 15 and under! Come celebrate St. Michael Daze and Knights weekend with a 5k to start your Saturday.  This year's 5k will follow the same route as past year's but will change from a Color Run to a chip timed 5k.  This fun 5k is for all levels - the competitive runners as well as those pushing strollers or being pulled by dogs.  And for the people who really want to get pummeled with colored powder, we still have a race for you.  The youth Color Daze Run will begin right after the 5k finishes.

Traversing beautiful viewpoints along the Hudson River from New Jersey to New York and back again the Interstate 17 Trail Run delivers amazing scenery as it tests your physical prowess.  You will run four times on a four mile loop of rugged technical trails after a mile out and back on a closed road to separate the field of runners for safety. You will complete three counterclockwise loops followed by a final loop clockwise. You must check in at the beginning/end of each loop to have your time card punched. Founded in 2017. This is NOT your average trail race. This trail is meant to test your strength and endurance. Seventeen miles with over 5000 ft. of elevation change, if you're not extremely careful there are many places where you can fall to your death or serious injury. No awards or medals. We invite all interested runners—elementary, middle school, and high school—to participate in the Southlake 1600, scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2025. The event will take place on the track in the morning and will feature Fully Automatic Timing (F.A.T.). Please note that this is a non-UIL event. All participants must compete unattached and may not wear school uniforms. A sample schedule from last year’s event is provided below for reference.

The Cove House Classic, featuring the Hill Country 100K, is one of the major fund raisers for our shelter and free clinic. All proceeds will go to support our efforts to provide quality housing and medical care to those in need. We have Several routes from 26-63 miles. On site registration will start at 6 am and the race will start at 7 am.There will be several water and fruit stations on the route with several routes to choose from.All routes will be marked with roadside signage at each turn. Protein bars, water and Gatorade available at the finish.

August 8th, 2025.  This is the culminating event in the Capt'n Karl's Trail Series at one of the best privately owned adventure parks in all of Texas, the amazing Reveille Peak Ranch! This park is located 55 miles northwest of Austin in the historic town of Burnet. The amenities at RPR are first class & we will be taking advantage of this by providing our runners, spectators & volunteers with a series finale party. But first, runners will be treated to unique & spectacular geological formations. Navigating over large rock domes with amazing views, while tackling the most elevation gain of our four venues (3812 ft). This course really has it all….single track, exposure, tree-covered woods, hills & technicality. All to challenge even the most seasoned trail runner.   While every racer will get some cool swag, July 16th is the deadline to get a shirt.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail.  Sure, these races are held in August. In Virginia. That's the bonus challenge!  All runners will receive a tank top or t-shirt (your choice!) and a finisher's medal. Both race courses are beautiful, scenic out and back courses on a mostly flat, smooth rails to trails course.  There are roots and bog boards in sections of the course - use extra caution in these areas. Cash prizes, great competition, good food, and awesome swag all make this a memorable event.  There is a 4-hour time limit for the half marathon and an 8-hour time limit for the 50K - runners and walkers are welcome!

The Three Dams follows the Logan River up beautiful Logan Canyon passing First, Second and Third Dam. This is an out and back course. This will be the 47th Run Through the Pines Save the date and please follow us on our Run Through the Pines Facebook and Instagram page. The Run Through the Pines is a destination run and a San Bernardino, Rim Mountain Community Event. It is one of the longest "running" runs in Southern California (the first one was in 1979). It features a 10K and 5K run (or walk) around Lake Gregory and through a pine tree forest.  Runners (and walkers) can enjoy a semi-paved course at a 4,720-foot elevation, which makes it a perfect little challenge for mountain locals and especially our friends from down the hill. Race day staging is at the San Moritz Lodge “Meadow” area near the Lake Gregory Company bait and tackle shop. We encourage participants of all levels, children in strollers, pets on a leash, and especially teams/groups. This sweet race is the 3rd in a three-race series, all designed to keep you fit and refreshed this summer. The Summer Dash Series includes the Lemonade Dash, Popsicle Dash, and Watermelon Dash. Dragon’s Den half Marathon is a challenging race for all levels. There are three events: Half-Marathon, 10k and 5k. All registrants receive a finishers medal, a turkey leg, refreshments, and amazing race swag plus much more. The race course is held inside San Antonio at Pearsall Park and will have rejuvenation stations every mile with ice cold water, ice cold electrolytes and ice cold towels. All finishers of the half-Marathon will receive a finishers t-shirt. All the races will have age group award tiles.
