Brookline Breeze 5K Run & Fitness Walk

Pittsburgh, PA
The Brookline Breeze is a challenging 5K fitness run/walk on the rolling hills of Brookline, a neighborhood located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 5K course takes runners and walkers from Brookline Memorial Park to the city border with Dormont and back again. The 3.1 mile route follows Brookline Boulevard to Pioneer Avenue, then turns left and proceeds to a turn-around near West Liberty Avenue, then back again. Breeze Day fun begins at 7:30am with packet pickup and pre-race registrations. The first event of the morning is the One-Mile Mini-Breeze for the young ones, followed by the One-mile Dog Walk. The Mini-Breeze course is laid out around the perimeter of Brookline Memorial Park. Then, at 9:00am, it's time for the main event, the 5K run/walk.

Blueberry Hill 5K & Newberry Fun Run

Slickville 5k Coal Mine Climb & 2 Mile Fun Walk

Come join us during our 2025 Slickville Community Days celebration! The August 9th 5k race is a challenging backcountry route with several hills leading to the "coal mine climb" up the slate mound past the famous Slickville sign that overlooks the town. The 2-mile walk is a much gentler course through town for the first half and returning to the finish on the Westmoreland Heritage Trail where you can watch the runners in their attempt to reach the summit of the race.  Be sure to sign up early to guarantee receipt of an event sports shirt in your preferred size. After completing the run/walk, all participants will be treated to a complimentary pancake breakfast with locally sourced genuine maple syrup courtesy of the Slickville Community Church and Maple Lodge. This will be the 47th Run Through the Pines Save the date and please follow us on our Run Through the Pines Facebook and Instagram page. The Run Through the Pines is a destination run and a San Bernardino, Rim Mountain Community Event. It is one of the longest "running" runs in Southern California (the first one was in 1979). It features a 10K and 5K run (or walk) around Lake Gregory and through a pine tree forest.  Runners (and walkers) can enjoy a semi-paved course at a 4,720-foot elevation, which makes it a perfect little challenge for mountain locals and especially our friends from down the hill. SOUTH CAROLINA TRAIL RUNNERS Runners and families are invited to enjoy the great outdoors on the doorstep of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northwest South Carolina. The scenic 5k course is a great for novice trail runners and experienced racers alike. The single track trails meander along and across scenic Carrick Creek from the nature center as youclimb toward Pinnacle Mountain. After a short climb, the 5k runners will race downhill, looping back toward the start finish line. Up for more of a challenge? The 15k race course, which is currently closer to a17K,  will test the most seasoned trail runners. It follows the same route as the 5k for the first two miles. However, the 15k course climbs nearly 2000 feet over the first 5 miles. You will struggle to make it over several gaps and reach the race’s high point of Pinnacle Mountain. This park is located 55 miles northwest of Austin in the historic town of Burnet. 21st Annual HEAT Kids Triathlon

Join us for our 21st Annual HEAT Kid's Triathlon on Saturday August 8, 2026 at 7 am. There are two race divisions. Juniors: ages 6-10 and Seniors: ages 11-15. The 6-10 year olds will swim a 50 yard pool swim, bike 2 miles, and run 1 mile. The 11-15 years olds (Seniors) will swim a 100 yard pool swim, bike 4 miles, and run 2 miles.   *USAT (USA Triathlon) rules require that the age that is used is the age as of 12/31 of the race year.  So, make sure you are clear if you have a 10 year old, for example that will be 11 before the end of the year that they are required to race in the Senior age troup. USAT also has rules about the bike - no training wheels are allowed.
