Come and support the 8th annual event, CAVEMAN CHALLENGE! This event was started to support The Wil-Power Foundation, Inc, which is a 503 (c) organization formed to honor the life of William Mintner through providing educational and wellness opportunities for our local communities. Wil is a former friend, son, teammate of the YMCA Wahoo's in Ocala, The Ocala Aquatics swim team (AKA the Marlins), and the Florida Southern swim team. Wil is very missed, but with the help of his loving friends and family, we feel like we are able to capture some of the heart of Wil during this event!  Wil loved CrossFit, Swimming, running, and his Neon Green Jeep Wrangler.  We hope for all of the athletes to have a fun time during this event; and have opened it up to 3 divisions including: 1. Competitive CAVEMAN CHALLENGE: consists of a 5k; followed by a 400 yard swim in the short course pool with fun and challenging strength and plyometric movements in between each lap; all followed by a 25 meter Jeep

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, everything STOPS. A family’s whole life changes just like that and it does not go back to normal. Bills and stress are at an all-time high and help from others is critical. One in 285 children in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer by the time they are 20 years old. Childhood cancer research and treatments are vastly and consistently underfunded.  Keris, was a proud Kindergarten graduate of Newnan Crossing Elementary School. She was a vibrant and faithful child who bravely battled a rare form of pediatric brain cancer called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) from the age of 4 until her transition at the age of 6.  She made a lasting impression on those that knew her. The name Keris means love and charity.  Our driving motivation is to pay it forward with love and charity and bless other hurting families the same way the community blessed Keris. GO GRAY FOR A CURE 5K Go Gray for a Cure, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to fund life-saving brain cancer research, educate and increase awareness, and improve the quality of life for those living with brain cancer. An estimated 1 million people in the United States are living with a primary brain tumor, and approximately 94,390 more will be diagnosed this year. Glioblastoma is the most commonly occurring primary malignant brain tumor, accounting for 14.3% of all tumors and 50.1% of all malignant tumors. For malignant brain tumor patients, the five-year relative survival rate following diagnosis is 35.7%. For the most common form of primary malignant brain tumors, glioblastoma, the five-year relative survival rate is only 6.8% and median survival is only 8 months. In 2021, Maxeys Model Mile was the first official 5K to be held along the Firefly Trail.  We are excited to present the 8th Annual Maxeys Model Mile 5K in 2026. The race will start and finish along the Firefly Trail.  Registration takes place along the Firefly Trail near the corner of Hwy 77 and Laurel Street.

HOW REGISTRATION WORKS The event is comprised of 24, 1-hour games in a row and is open to men's and women's teams of all ages and abilities. Every team that registers plays in at least one, 1-hour game and will be matched with an opposing team of similar age and abilities If you register as a dual-slot, your team will have the entire hour with no opposing team schedule, and choose how you wish to play for that hour. The Ben Layton 5K is organized to help raise money for Ben's Red Swings and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, a blood cancer that Ben had. The 5k and fun walk start outside Ben's Red Swings, go through the zoo and end at Ben's Red Swings.  We are also continuing to offer a virtual option 5k this year for people who are not able to join us in person.   Custom designed socks are guaranteed to the first 150 entrants.   Raffle prizes will be awarded on race day. Taking place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the scenic Marigold Lodge in Holland, Michigan, this event invites MillerKnoll associates and their families to come together for a day of movement, connection, and care.   Participants can choose from multiple ways to get involved, including a 1‑mile family fun run, 5K walk/run/roll, or 40K bike ride. This year the walk will be held in 3 separate locations including Washington DC where the first event of the year will be held. That event will be on April 18th. The second walk will be held along the Macomb Orchard Trail on May 2nd with the Holland walk on May 16th being the last one of 2026. We are so honored to partner with our family, friends, and neighbors to stand together in this fight that many of our veterans battle alone. Join us in 1 or all 3 events and help us save lives. The Holland Walk will start in the parking lot of Holland State Park Beach with parking available along Lakeshore Dr or in the State Park with a park pass. This is an out and back trek.

The 4th annual Gilead Fitness 5k & Fun Run is coming soon! Following the success of last year's event, we are excited for an even better experience this time. Come Run Like It's Recess at this fun filled, inter-generational family event, benefiting ALL CHUH Schools. Run or walk the 5K course that loops through the heart of beautiful Cleveland Heights.  Stay around after the race for refreshments, entertainment, and the Kid’s Fun Run around the High School track.  Online registration is $30 for adults, $20 for children (14 yrs and younger) and Kids' Fun Run is free. All 5k participants receive a “Tiger 5k" T-shirt; additional T-shirts are available for $15.   Same-Day Race registration is available on Saturday, May 18th at Heights High School from 8AM to 8:30AM for an additional fee: $35 per Adult, $25 per child. Please join us this year for our 14th annual running of the Race for Case. Race for Case is a community-oriented event benefiting all students of Case CLC. Profits from the event have helped us build our permanent greenhouse on school grounds and fund a set of digital microscopes, a VR system, and school events. Help us continue our tradition of successfully funding projects that provide our students with equipment and opportunities many APS students miss out on. The Race for Case is just one of the Neighborhood races in the Akron Promise City Series, held to support community organizations, promote youth opportunity, explore Akron, and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

RACE INFO: Join us Saturday, May 16 at 7 am for the Guernsey County Crossroads Marathon. This is a continuation of our Spring Race that has taken place since 2018, but now it has a new name and a new race, the inaugural Crossroads Marathon. This event is meant to showcase historic downtown Cambridge, Ohio and The Great Guernsey Trail and will consist of a marathon, a half-marathon and a 5k distance. This will be Chip timed race with timing services provided by Muskingum Multisports. Starting line will be on Southgate Parkway next to the trailhead located at 134 Southgate Pkwy Cambridge, Ohio.  Proceeds raised at this event will support the Guernsey County Community Development’s (CDC) Great Guernsey Trail and The Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce. This event will be used to raise funds to aid others escape a life of domestic violence, that unfortunately took Amy’s life in 2023.    Check in and the start/finish line will be at the amphitheater/pavilion area at Faurot Park. Parking is available at "the bowl" next to the Bradfield Center. The food truck will accept cards, but everything else is cash only. Same day registration is available until the race starts at 9am. Open to the public - do not need to be a participant to visit the food truck or participate in the raffle. May We Grow Old" 5K run/walk to celebrate Older Ohioans Month! All proceeds from this race will be used to serve older adults in Clermont County through services like Transportation, Lifelong Learning, Meals on Wheels, Adult Protective Services, and many more! This day will be a celebration of growing older and gathering in community to support one another. The race will be at Sycamore Park in Batavia, with the 5K portion mostly on trails. There will be a shorter walk (.6 miles) around the park on a paved surface for people of all ages and abilities to participate.

This is a charity run/walk held in memory of Christopher Mang who passed away in May of 2018. Chris was a longtime participant in the Skagit County Special Olympics Program and more recently volunteered at a number of Northwest Endurance Events running events. Known for his big personality, Chris was driven by a love for the many people in his life and a passion for helping others – He was a friend to everyone he met. He loved music and movie trivia and enjoyed karaoke with friends. The Mang/Glesne family and the Skagit Valley Family YMCA have partnered to establish the Christopher Mang Memorial Fund. Registration fees from the event will be donated to Chris’ Memorial Fund which supports recreational programming and equipment to benefit under-served youth and families, as well as those with special needs in the Skagit Valley.
