The North East Triathlon is an amazing race in a beautiful location. Just minutes from I-95, a Chesapeake Bay time trial swim and well paved country roads along Elk Neck State Forest make this a great race. The course is low traffic, hilly and technical in places, but has plenty of straightaways and beautiful views. The run course is a lightly rolling, out and back course on the shoulder heading south of town. Join us August 5, 12, 19 & 26 for a fun series of shorter midweek trail races. This fourth race of the series will take place on the fast and flat Valley Trail at Lory State Park. Our goal is to offer a fun, low-key series of races designed to give newer trail runners an opportunity to dip their toes into the trail racing waters, and to offer more experienced trail racers a chance to sharpen their speed on shorter, quicker courses. All races will start at 6:00pm, ranging in distance from 5k to 12k. Results will be tabulated according to chip times, with series points awarded for each race. Top series finishers will earn unique awards. We'll have a wide selection of vintage Gnar race shirts, and all registrants are welcome to their pick to call their own. The Hoodoo 500 is the most scenic, most challenging, and most rewarding ultra-cycling race on the Planet (in spite of claims by others). The route passes through or around three National Parks, three National Monuments and several Utah State Parks. The scenery varies from majestic cliffs and striking red rock hoodoos to aspen and pine forests and high mountain meadows. You’ll race up mountains over 10,000′ high. You might get hot, you’ll likely get cold. Odds are the wind will at one time be in your face, and another time at your back. You’ll experience many highs and maybe some lows on this amazing journey. We are delaying this race to correspond with the opening our new Youth Hub in Rosman. The third annual race is getting ready to be run. We run over mixed surfaces, a gravel track initially, through woods and around fields, alongside the French Broad River across the Rosman airport (who knew!) around town and back across fields and through the woods.  It has an elevation climb of a little over 10 feet !! - so a perfect first 5K to either run or walk. A Splash and Dash is a fun and fast-growing sport that combines swimming and running. The TRI Clear Lake Splash & Dash is a participatory event for kids ages 7-15 with an emphasis on creating a fun family weekend of multisport and fitness.  As an official part of the USA Triathlon Youth Aquathlon Series. Every participant will receive a finisher medal, Parents are encouraged to cheer on their kids as they move through the course and finish under the same arch as the adult racers.  The race will be held Friday, August 28th at 6:30pm.  Athletes will be staged by age with the oldest going off first. Mud Sweat & Gears is a mountain bike race held at the Comlara park trail system.  The MSG Mountain XC style event will be held at Comlara park boat launch near the worlds largest square knot.   The race will traverse new sections of single track along Evergreen Lake with sections of open fields, double track, single track and few short road sections connecting trails for the sport and expert classes.  Novice and Kids loops will be off-road and no road sections. Novice loop will be approximately 6-8 miles. Sport loop will be approximately 14.75 miles.  Please Review the course guide, related to road sections.  Follow rules of the road on your bike. The Hancock Flat 50 is a community bicycle RIDE taking place on August 29, 2026 starting in Greenfield, IN and taking your through scenic Hancock County. There will be 50- and 25-mile routes, all of which are open to cyclists of every skill level. This is a bike RIDE, not a bike race!  Please use caution throughout the course, especially areas of congestion. After the ride stay and enjoy our festival! Race Start Time: Our 5K race will start at 8:00am and the 1 mile family fun run will begin at 8:30am.  There is a map below of where we'll be and where you can park for the race.Race Course: We will be having a simple down and back, starting off to the West, along the Davenport river trail.  There will be an aid station, signs, and an optional game at the turnaround spot.  You won't miss it!Results/Awards: This is a timed race and your results will be available online immediately following the race.Post-Race: Feel free to stay around as long as you wish after the race.  We will have music, plenty of food and drinks including cinnamon roll pancakes, and various games for you to be able to enjoy.  You’ll also have an opportunity to hear briefly from a few of our teens about how Young Life Davenport has impacted them!

Oldham County Parks and Recreation will be hosting its 23rd annual, USAT sanctioned Sprint Triathlon at Wendell Moore Park on Saturday, August 29, 2026.  This is a great race for every level of triathlete. Participants must be 16 & over. Swimming leg, 400 meters, is a time start, every 15 seconds, in the John W. Black Aquatic Center 25 meter pool. Bike course, 10 miles, on the Oldham County roads (non closed) with police at the major intersections. Bike course is a hilly course. Run leg, 2 Miles, is on the park grounds includes an asphalt trail with a few grass sections. All triathletes receive a finish metal at the finish line. Awards ceremony follows the race with free pizza. Awards will be given to the following: Overall Female, Overall Male and the top two finishers in a variety of age groups. This is a 5K Run/Walk that starts on the track at Amboy High School.  It serpentines past the Elementary School, the old Jr. High School through the Sports Park and concludes in front of the historic train depot.  This is a USATF Certified Course.  The course itself is relatively flat and allows for fast race times.  This is one of three events sponsored by the Amboy Education Foundation.  Our singular goal is to provide resources to the Amboy School District to aid teachers and students.
