VSAP - Veteran Suicide Awareness and Prevention 3 Mile Walk/12 Mile Run/6 Mile 20kg Ruck

The VSAP event is broken down into three events, a 3-mile Suicide awareness walk/run, a 12-mile run and a 6-mile Ruck (Rucking or packing , 20kg to represent, remember, and honor veterans who have been tragically lost to us and our Nation). The VSAP helps build community which is one way to help combat suicide. Montana consistently has one of the highest suicide rates in the nation, per capita. This event will help raise awareness and promote prevention about this epidemic by bring the community together to memorialize those lost and let Veterans, their friends, and families know they are not alone. Your trip begins at the visitors center and takes you North through the park to the State Line where you turn around are return to the finish line.  The race is entirely within the William Powers Conservation Area this year. 12th Annual Keris Kares Royal Run: The Superhero Edition

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, everything STOPS. A family’s whole life changes just like that and it does not go back to normal. Bills and stress are at an all-time high and help from others is critical. One in 285 children in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer by the time they are 20 years old. Childhood cancer research and treatments are vastly and consistently underfunded.  Keris, was a proud Kindergarten graduate of Newnan Crossing Elementary School. She was a vibrant and faithful child who bravely battled a rare form of pediatric brain cancer called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) from the age of 4 until her transition at the age of 6.  She made a lasting impression on those that knew her. For malignant brain tumor patients, the five-year relative survival rate following diagnosis is 35.7%. The Surf Drive Mile (formerly the "Main Street Mile") is a 1-Mile race along Surf Drive that finishes at the Surf Drive Beach House. The race is intended for all levels of runners and walkers; for fast runners who want to run a competitive mile and slower runners and walkers who want a more leisurely event. There will be one start with the faster runners positioned up front. For safety reasons, any baby strollers/joggers must start at the back. Dash for the Dogs 13th Annual 5K Run/Walk

Fleet Feet Bloomington Donut Run

The Fleet Feet Bloomington Donut Run is a fun annual event for runners and walkers of all ages to celebrate the anniversary of our Store Opening on May 23, 2013. Participants will run/walk a one mile loop in the neighborhoods around the store 1, 2 or 3 times and will eat a Krispy Kreme Donut on each lap. You will receive a Popsicle stick after eating a donut and after completing a lap. Donuts must be eaten in the "donut zone" on Maloney Drive and can't be carried on the course. The first 100 people to turn in SIX Popsicle sticks (representing three miles and three donuts) will receive a prize. This event is just for FUN - it is untimed, not accurately measured and there are no awards. But it is also for a good cause!
