Come Run Like It's Recess at this fun filled, inter-generational family event, benefiting ALL CHUH Schools. Run or walk the 5K course that loops through the heart of beautiful Cleveland Heights.  Stay around after the race for refreshments, entertainment, and the Kid’s Fun Run around the High School track.  Online registration is $30 for adults, $20 for children (14 yrs and younger) and Kids' Fun Run is free. All 5k participants receive a “Tiger 5k" T-shirt; additional T-shirts are available for $15.   Same-Day Race registration is available on Saturday, May 18th at Heights High School from 8AM to 8:30AM for an additional fee: $35 per Adult, $25 per child. We are doing a 5k race for all ages for a fundraiser for our youth mission trip. There will be medals awarded male and female division for age group winners and over all winners. Please join us this year for our 14th annual running of the Race for Case. Race for Case is a community-oriented event benefiting all students of Case CLC. Profits from the event have helped us build our permanent greenhouse on school grounds and fund a set of digital microscopes, a VR system, and school events. Help us continue our tradition of successfully funding projects that provide our students with equipment and opportunities many APS students miss out on. The Race for Case is just one of the Neighborhood races in the Akron Promise City Series, held to support community organizations, promote youth opportunity, explore Akron, and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

“Rooster Days” – A Local Tradition In the Spring of 1931, there was a thriving poultry industry on the farms and acreage surrounding Broken Arrow.  Secretary-Manager of the chamber at that time, Leo S. Wortman, came up with the idea of establishing a special day for farmers to bring to market their excess roosters.  On that first Rooster Day, about 5,000 pounds of roosters, more than two tons, were sold here. There were prizes for the best rooster, the biggest, noisiest, etc.  A highlight of the day was a sound system, which played music noisily all day. People gathered to visit and to enjoy each other’s company. Even though the rooster has just about disappeared, we still celebrate annually in what has come to be the oldest festival in Oklahoma known as Rooster Days. This is a continuation of our Spring Race that has taken place since 2018, but now it has a new name and a new race, the inaugural Crossroads Marathon. This event is meant to showcase historic downtown Cambridge, Ohio and The Great Guernsey Trail and will consist of a marathon, a half-marathon and a 5k distance. The annual Tulip Festival Road Race in Orange City, Iowa is a mainstay on the third weekend of May each year. The 2026 edition will feature a scenic Orange City route starting and ending downtown with the last stretch along the Tulip lined Central Avenue from Northwestern College, past the historic courthouse, and through the Dutch architecture and festival features while finishing next to the Windmill in Windmill Park. We will feature a 5k run/walk and a 1 mile fun walk. Both events will start at 8:05 am on May 16th on Arizona Avenue near the park.  Dutch finisher awards as well as overall and age group awards will be given.  The race will be chip timed with a gun start. Participants can expect a t-shirt, fun race experience, and treats at the finish line.

Next to the Indiana Statehouse, firefighters and police officers from across the state who gave their lives in the line of duty are memorialized. Join fellow EMS professionals to create an addition to this memorial for emergency medical technicians and paramedics who lost their lives serving our communities. Help us continue to raise funds for this project and kick-off National EMS Week by joining us for the eighth annual Run With Shears on May 16, 2026. This event is proudly hosted by the Indiana EMS Association. We are one of the only EMS 5k races in the United States and annually host hundreds of runners, walkers, and EMS professionals from across the Midwest. Join us for our annual Race for Roofs, a run/walk event to support our mission of offering affordable housing and support in Indianapolis. This annual race has both a 4K and an 8K option through the scenic Brookside Park on the near Eastside of Indianapolis. Stoked (adjective) – slang Being in an enthusiastic or exhilarated state The annual Stoked To Go Out (STGO) open water swim is exactly that – a gathering of outdoor enthusiasts, exhilarated to get out there, charge it, take the bull by the horns, meet the challenge head-on, commit, and take the literal plunge.  Inspired by the life and legacy of Grey Liston, the STGO open water swim takes participants 1.7 miles from pier-to-pier in the Atlantic Ocean, off the picturesque coast of Wrightsville Beach, NC. And, since all STGO proceeds benefit the UNCW Grey Liston Scholarship in Athletics Endowment fund, not only does this event honor the spirit of Grey and drive our mission to battle complacency in life, it also allows for us all to enable the education and participation of future swimmers and divers. The 9th annual Grey Matters 5K/10K/virtual race will be held in Downtown Whitesburg, Kentucky on Saturday, May 16th, 2026. For those of you who will be unable to travel to us, we will continue to offer the virtual option this year.  We are thrilled to be in our ninth year and look forward to once again bring people who have been affected by brain cancer and members of the community together to help spread awareness of the disease. This is the third year of the Toadstrangler 5K put on by the Rossville Community Foundation. Your participation in this race helps spread awareness of the progress the Foundation is making on its trails, as well as raise money to continue this progress. The race begins at the Shelter House in Rossville Community Park, showcases our Toadstrangler Trail as well as the new paved trail being built in town! Packet pickup will be race day morning starting at 7:15 am at the Shelter House. The Toadstrangler 5k is a fun run/walk, so it is suitable for participants of any and all skill levels. It's time to Conquer the Campus with the 3rd annual 1-mile and 5k run, walk and stroll and kids fun run on Saturday, May 16th at our Wichita campus.  It's fun for all paces and ages so sign up with your immediate family or a friend and join your co-workers for the event.
