The Run, Baby, Run! 5K and Fun Run gathers participants from across the state for a lively morning jog in the Historic District of Natchitoches. This 5K Run serves as an awareness run and a fundraiser for the Women's Resource Center of Natchitoches. The Women’s Resource Center stands as a cornerstone in our community, tirelessly offering resources to local families, including free and confidential pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, prenatal education, emotional support, and material assistance. We are the "oldest race in town"! And we are excitedly planning our third consecutive year in north Franklin parish in the town of Baskin on Sat., 5/16/26. We thought this year would be an excellent "warm up" to the Run for the Red, White, and Blue the very next weekend in Monroe. As you may know, last year's race was a charity benefit for Tracey Ready's breast cancer battle. We lost Tracey this side of heaven less than 2 months later. We want to honor her memory by funding a memorial scholarship in her name AND purchasing Bibles to distribute to local detention centers in need.  Our race this year follows the same, flat and fast route through Baskin, LA. We will have snacks and drinks for participants, and encourage spectators to come visit with us as well. We have Top Male and Top Female awards and age group medals. Taking place during a weekend of remembrance, this race provides an opportunity for participants to come together in support, reflection, and unity. The race is open to runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels. Proceeds from the event help support memorial-related efforts and provide scholarships for officers from departments with limited resources to attend survival and advanced training classes at the Monroe County Training Center. The “Boots on The Ground” race consists of a 5k family-oriented, pet-friendly, fun walk or run, as well as a more demanding 10k run (twice around the 5k course) starting at 9:00 AM with an Honor Guard Salute. The in-person 2026 Ferguson Twilight Run event is on Saturday, May 16 at 501 South Florissant Road in downtown Ferguson! In-person distances include one mile, 5K (3.1 miles), 10K (6.2 miles). Registered participants will receive a 2025 limited edition FTR T-shirt with race finishers receiving a commemorative medal.   Proceeds from the Ferguson Twilight Run event benefits local non-profits. The Washington Police Department explorer post will be hosting their inaugural 5k run.  The money raised will be used to help send the explorers to the annual St. Louis Area Law Enforcement Explorer Academy, which is a week long event held in the St. Louis area.  The academy costs the post roughly $450 per kid per year.  A majority of this is paid for by the post to allow for all explorers to attend that want to attend, regardless of financial ability. We are hoping to send 6-7 explorers this year. This is a program that is designed for youth aged 14-20 who want to learn about law enforcement.  Exploring is covered under the Boy Scouts of America Learning for Life umbrella. This run is being held the day before National Police Week begins. 2026 Walk for Wellness and 5k Fun Run Join us for a Walk for Wellness and 5K Fun Run through Rt. 66 Park at Lake Overholser. Registered runners will receive a T-shirt and medal, and registered walkers will receive a T-shirt. These events are open to patients and non-patients, with the walk and health fair at no cost and the 5K Fun Run includes a small fee. Everyone will have the opportunity to receive information from community partners in the Oklahoma City metro and participate in a health fair and cultural activities. One of our event objectives is to educate our participants on developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Why Drown Initiative offers free swim lessons, water safety instruction, and CPR training to youth in our community.  The Why Drown Initiative exists to empower families with water safety education, CPR instruction, trauma awareness, and swim readiness skills. We provide children with life jackets, families with rescue tools, and communities with knowledge that saves lives. Our vision is a community where every family has the confidence, tools, and knowledge to prevent drowning, protect loved ones, and enjoy the water safely. The Marine Corps Run for Freedom will provide assistance to veterans. Proceeds from the run will go to the Marine Raiders Foundation, the Semper Fi Fund, and the Philip A. Reynolds Marine Corps League Detachment. The race route is a loop through Freehold Township, New Jersey that starts and ends at iPlay America. The terrain is relatively flat and on wide streets. The Maywood Rotary along with other Maywood community organizations are holding a 5K race that will celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary to be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026. This year the proceeds will help support the Maywood July 4th parade. It will also create a scholarship fund for Maywood high school seniors starting in 2027.

Marcus Kayal Legacy4Life brings you the 4th annual Miles4Marcus fundraising challenge.  Marcus Kayal was a Mahwah High School student and member of the Boys Soccer family who passed away in December of 2019.  Marcus had a passion for the game of soccer and always pushed himself to play at the highest level. While he exceled in sport, Marcus was a young man who also put a tremendous amount of focus towards his academics and was highly respectful to all people that he interacted with. On the field, Marcus wore #4. The name of the event, and its purpose are designed to reflect the values that Marcus brought to the community and soccer program, on and off the field. On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the Scott Laird Hometown Heroes Scholarship Team will host a special 5K Walk/Run fundraiser in memory of Major Scott Laird, Bronze Star recipient, and Lackawanna Trail alumni. A proud resident of Dalton, PA, Scott joined the army after graduating high school and served two distinguished tours of duty in Iraq and Kuwait. During his time in the military, Scott dreamed of the day he could return home to NEPA and begin building his future with his family, all the while giving back to the community he loved most. 100% of the proceeds from this 5K will be donated to The Hometown Heroes Scholarship. Established in 2021 in Scott’s honor, this scholarship aids future heroes in the community as they realize their own dreams, whether that be through military service, higher education, or a variety of honorable paths. This is a fun Color Run run to honor the life and legacy of a local young adult, Morgan Patten. Proceeds will benefit the Morgan’s Miles To Go Foundation (501(c)(3). Morgan Patten was tragically and mysteriously killed while visiting her fiance in North Carolina in 2019.  A vibrant and beautiful young woman from Bradford, NH/Kearsarge Area accepted to law school and to be married to her true love.  An avid environmentalist and runner.  Keep her legacy of love and adventure alive! Run for Morgan!!!

Centex Crime Stoppers Present Donut Dash 5K/10K This chip timed race will start and finish at the Gatesville City Pool, 300 S. 8th St. in Gatesville, Texas.
