The racecourse for the Best 5K on the Brazos is a flat and scenic course that runs along the Brazos River from Indian Spring Park. Take this opportunity to possibly set a personal record for the 5K. This is the target race for the Waco Women's Training Program. So, please come out and support them as this will be the first 5K race for many of them. The 5K awards will include medals for the top overall male and female and for the first 3 male and female finishers in 5 yr. age categories from 14 and under to 65 and over. Note: Dogs are not allowed on the course for insurance and safety reasons.

Outdoor yoga on a weekend morning by the river is just what the yogi ordered! Become one with nature while you work on your flexibility and core strength. Yoga is for everybody and every body, not just the super flexible. The class led by Align Yoga, Rocks, and Reiki is a mixed-level flow and great for beginner to advanced practitioners, but we do ask that you have taken at least a class or two before showing up! This party is BYOM (bring your own mat) because no one wants grass stains on their palms from doing downward dog!

Join Open Door Community for a fun-filled day. Starting with a 5K in the town of Wytheville at the Open Door Cafe, crossing main street, and running down Spring street, through the historic homes of Wytheville, and back up across the train tracks. After the 5K, join us from 12 - 6 for a co-branded hosting of the Brews and Bands festival. This will be held at the Open Door Cafe in partnership with the Wythe Arts Council. Hills from Hell is back!! Think you can conquer the biggest hills Ketchikan has to offer? Come test out your calf strength and claim your bragging rights. About the Event Since 1977, the Black Canyon Ascent has been one of the most beloved races in the region and is a flagship event for the San Juan Mountain Runners.  Originally started to celebrate the rugged beauty of Montrose’s "backyard," the Ascent has evolved into an important community fundraiser. This year, proceeds will benefit the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Pre-Race Runners must park in Montrose at the Black Canyon Boys and Girls Club (1869 E. Main Street, Montrose) for the shuttle bus to the start line.  A post-race shuttle will return you to your car.  Look for a more detailed schedule soon! The Course: A Climb to the Clouds!  The Black Canyon Ascent is a 6-mile point-to-point challenge that demands respect and rewards effort. Starting at an elevation of roughly 6,500 feet, the course gains nearly 2,000 vertical feet over a steady 5-mile climb up Colorado Highway 347. Note the road is not closed, and participants must stay on the left side of the road

Vallecito Lake Heavy Half  The Vallecito Lake Heavy Half Marathon is a beautiful and scenic course around Vallecito Lake. Nestled in the heart of the San Juan Mountains in Colorado, our race course takes runners completely around the picturesque Vallecito Reservoir with a special section that runs right across Vallecito Dam. If you ever wanted to run all the way around the lake, this race is the only way to do it as a portion traverses private property that is normally not open to the public.  After the race is the best post-race party ever, with live music, local beer/soda, and a delicious lunch.  Grab a few friends and spend the weekend in the beautiful Vallecito Valley.  More than just a great race, this event is a fundraiser for local non-profits.   2026 Event:  Based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback that was received we will retain the single track segment along the east shore of the lake.  To mix things us the loop will also be run in the opposite direction this year.  W

On Saturday, May 16th, 2026, the Delaware Farm Bureau Foundation is hosting the 13th Annual Milk Run/Walk at Ramsey’s Farm in Wilmington, DE. All net proceeds will go to The Ministry of Caring’s “Milk for Children Fund”, the Food Bank of Delaware “Backpack Program”, and the Delaware Farm Bureau Foundation’s efforts to advance agricultural literacy. The Ministry of Caring in Wilmington serves about 500 nutritious meals at no cost to needy and hungry men, women, and children daily, with milk being just one of their offerings at the table. The Food Bank of Delaware’s Backpack Program provides food for at-risk children on the weekends and holidays when school is not in session. We are thrilled to say we have raised over $260,000 in the last 12 years of the event. While our success has set the bar high, we hope to keep that number growing. The Upland Hills School Trail Runs will take place on May 16th, 2026 beginning at 9:30AM. Come join us for our annual 1 Miler, 5K and 10K Trail runs through Upland Hills School Campus. Upland Hills Farm and Bald Mountain State Recreation Area. All ages and fitness levels are welcome!  Eastside Racing Company will be providing Timing Services and live results! Please join us for our fourth annual Mental Health Movement 2K | 5K | 10K Run-Walk! We, at Northeast Michigan Community Mental Health Authority (NeMCMHA), aim to bring awareness to mental health in our four-county catchment area of Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency, and Presque Isle, while also reducing the stigma of mental health.  All events are chip timed and can be completed by anyone! You can try for a personal best or simply enjoy the beauty of our river routes! Join the Hamtramck Drug Free Community Coalition (HDFCC), a program of the Piast Institute, for its 17th Annual Hamtramck Health Hike.   This FREE 5K run/walk taking place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Starting and ending at Zussman Park in front of Hamtramck City Hall (3401 Evaline St.), this community event welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels. However you choose to do the 5K (a run, jog, or walk), the Hamtramck Health Hike offers a fun, family-friendly way to get active and explore the city streets of Hamtramck.   The 5K will be officially timed, and participants will be able to look up their bib number online to see their race results and compare times within their age group.    Be a part of the first 400 people to register and attend to get free giveaways! The Bucket Run is a 5K run/walk benefiting Disaster Relief at Work's (DRAW) mission of providing relief services to communities that have been hit by natural disasters.  Registration/check-in on race day starts at 7:30a at Disaster Relief At Work’s warehouse location, 3549 Airport Rd, Waterford, MI 48329. ForeShore Adventure Run is back for year ELEVEN. The lakeshore’s premiere 5k adventure run returns to Pere Marquette Beach on May 16, 2026, with new obstacles but the same mission: helping people to overcome life’s obstacles.
