Moving together to move our community forward!    All are welcome at this family-friendly run/walk event to support Acton-Boxborough Community Compass. Let's come together as a community (rain or shine!) and enjoy the power of connection. Yankee Timing will be there to provide professional race timing to all participants, and medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each age group. But don’t let that intimidate you — you can go at any pace… run or walk, stroll with neighbors, or mingle with new friends. It’s all about having fun together! Get the kids involved in giving back to the community with a One-Mile Fun Run! They'll be cheered along the route with bubbles and noisemakers. Fun prizes for the fastest and most spirited!

This is an officially timed run, open to everyone of all ability levels, through the campus grounds of Powers Catholic and the Michigan School for the Deaf.  Start and Finish lines are on the PCHS campus.  Registration and bib pick up starts at 10am on Saturday, May 9th.  The 5k race starts at 11am  The mile run will follow the conclusion of the 5k on the PCHS track The 5k will be an officially timed run by Rotpac Racing, with prizes for overall winners and age group winners.  Race day tee shirts are available for pre-order with some availability on race day. Shirt store may show that it is unavailable, they are working on getting it back up! Ghost Kitchen Food Truck and Tenacity Brewing, will be on campus from 10am until 2pm. Join us for the 2nd Revel Run 5K! It is a cross country style 5K on the beautiful grounds of Revel Run in Chelsea, Michigan. All proceeds from the race will help support the Chelsea Track & Field Teams. After the discontinuation of the long-running Chelsea Heart and Sole race and the Run for the Rolls & Robin Run events, our Chelsea community is in desperate need of an annual event for our active members. The Revel Run 5K has been created to meet this need and bring our community together, while raising funds for the CPS Track & Field programs. In its 2nd year, we intend to make this a very large annual event!

The annual Waves & Whales 5K Trail Run‐Walk is held on the Mendocino Coast in Point Arena. Taking full advantage of the location, the run takes place on the Point Arena-Stornetta Unit of the California Coastal National Monument. The course begins behind City Hall in the conifer forest off Highway 1, makes its way to the coast where it follows the bluffs, and then winds back into the pine and cypress forest. Proceeds from the Waves & Whales Trail Run support ACORN Partners in Education’s environmental stewardship program, Students Protecting the Coast, which engages youth in hands‐on learning with a focus on conservation and community outreach. Students Protecting the Coast began during the 2012‐13 school year as part of the local and national campaign to include the Point Arena‐Stornetta Lands in the California Coastal National Monument. Students continue to learn about our coastal landscape and are empowered to use their voice by sharing what they’ve learned with the community

The race begins at 8 am Cedar Creek at 500 N Westberry in Madera, California. The runners will run north on Westberry and then turn left on Riverview until you come to an entrance to run along the cannel. You will turn around at the marked area and return to Cedar Creek where we will have breakfast and provide the runners with their times. Each runner will be provided with a T-shirt.

We’re gathering in downtown SD to take on the color-hunting photo challenge. Hunt for objects, scenes or moments that match your assigned color. Meet fellow photography lovers. Bring your preferred camera (smart phone works great).

Two-day adult sailing classes are offered most weekends from 9 am to 4 pm at Fiddler's Cove Marina. Classes are open to all eligible MWR patrons and sponsored guests. Minimum age requirement is 16 years or older with a parent or guardian.   **A minimum of 5 hours of sail time is required post beginner sailing course.  Class fees per person vary by military affiliation and rank. Dependent fees are calculated at the sponsoring active duty or retiree rate. Pre-registration is required as classes can fill up quickly. Registration includes boat rental, instruction, and textbooks. Students per boat will be kept to the minimum amount possible in order to maximize learning potential, and will range from one to four. Number of students per boat is dependent on the boat size, sailing conditions and the skills being developed in the class. The Waves of Gray – 5K Brain Cancer/Tumor Awareness Walk was created in memory of Fred K. Fenton II. Fred lost his battle with brain cancer (glioblastoma) in November 2016. When he was sick, our family felt extremely helpless as caregivers often do. This walk is our way to unite the Jacksonville brain tumor community, bring awareness to this horrible disease & raise funds for brain cancer/tumor research. Waves of Gray continues to support Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center. 100% of all funds raised will benefit the Waves of Gray Neuro-Oncology Endowment supporting research programs through Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Beat the Bridge for Breakthrough T1D is a fundraiser for Breakthrough T1D — the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. The event consists of an 8K run and wheelchair race, a 3-mile walk, a 1-mile fun run, and the Diaper Derby for toddlers. The event is called Beat the Bridge for Breakthrough T1D because the course travels over Seattle’s University Bridge, which is raised during the race. Participants try to cross the bridge before it is raised. Those who don't beat the bridge must wait, with music and entertainment, for the bridge to come back down. After a few minutes, the bridge lowers and everyone can finish the race. For 42 years, the Seattle community has come together to help Breakthrough T1D raise funds to cure, prevent, and better treat T1D. We hope you will join us on Saturday, May 10, 2025, for the 43rd Annual Beat the Bridge for Breakthrough T1D.

Celebrate Head of School Percy L. Abram's eleven years of leadership at The Homestretch 5K!  Bush families, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, and supporters are invited to this family and dog-friendly event. The Up For Air Series is a collection of endurance events created to amplify informed dialogue and empower organizations actively working on air quality solutions. Proceeds from Up For Area events are directed at carefully selected non-profit groups who demonstrate high value influence strategies. The race platform is used to expose participants and the general public to science-based material about the importance of healthy air. All events are conducted with a minimal footprint philosophy. Bainbridge Island's beloved spring running event is back! Join Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation in running or walking a 10K or 5K on a scenic wooded course from Battle Point Park, along the Forest to Sky Trail, and looping among the towering firs of the Grand Forest. An early Kids Fun Run course is within Battle Point Park. Run for the Trails Trillium Trail Run supports our Trails Connect Bainbridge Island campaign, to build new trails around the island. All race proceeds benefit trail development.  Race packets, including timing chip-integrated bib, will be distributed the morning of the event.

Mental health is important and Zeta Sigma supports our community and individuals to bring awareness. This race is our first annual event and we look forward to partnering with all of you for a successful community event.

Ryan’s Run: A 5K for Recovery & Hope We are honored to present Ryan’s Run, a community 5K dedicated to celebrating the life of Ryan McDermott, a loving father, son, brother, and friend. Ryan’s journey with substance use was long and difficult, but it never defined who he truly was. He was known for his kind heart, his adventurous spirit, and his deep love of music. Music was the soundtrack of his life, and he often shared it with those around him as a way of connecting, lifting spirits, and creating joy. Although his battle with substance use was painful, programs like those supported by the New Hampshire Coalition of Recovery Residences (NHCORR) gave him years of sobriety, stability, and happiness. Those were years filled with family, laughter, and memories that will be cherished forever. While we grieve the loss of Ryan, we also celebrate his legacy. The Glowing Smiles 5K run/walk will begin and end at the Orchid Heights Park shelter in Middleton, WI. It is a loop around the Pheasant Branch Conservancy. The event begins with a free Kids fun dash at 9:45am, followed by the 5k run/walk at 10:00am.  Cost: $30 for runners and walkers over 15 years of age, $15 for kids 15 and under (no limit, must be accompanied by registered adult).  Please note: after April 19th we cannot guarantee a participant shirt or size.

The 6th Annual PARC/RCRC 5K Run/Walk is not a race, more so an activity that includes fun “challenges” and business stops along the route. Think walkathon/fun run meets Amazing Race. The 2026 theme is “History, Scenery, and Fun in West Salem.” All ages are welcome! Registration is required for all participants ages 11 and over. Minors must be accompanied by parents. The cost of registration covers all event food/beverage samples, with the exception of an optional adult beverage. The first 75 registrants will receive a 2026 souvenir personalized PARC 5K glass. This is a nonprofit event, with proceeds as well as additional contributions being donated to the Sara Rose Hougom Foundation.
