What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk? The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001, after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! The First Annual Miles and Mortarboards 5K will be held on May 9, 2026 in Downtown Kingstree. The race will begin in the new Unity Park located on Main Street next to the Train Depot. Held annually on Saturday morning of Mother's Day Weekend, this year in 2026, this race celebrates its 40th Anniversary!! the NHW5K is a down and back race along the gravel road through the Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve, which is part of The Nature Conservancy of North Carolina. This race was at one point called the sla anyway 5k which was started as a virtual race in 2021 by SLA alumni Ethan Chen, the AnyWay 5k was a way to help spread his passion for running with the SLA community. We are continuing his legacy by holding a new way to do this event which is the brand new SLA Road To Glory 5k. No matter if you are part of or outside of the SLA community, everyone is welcome to join in on our race. The Dawn To Dusk To Dawn Track Ultras are run on Academy Park’s Knight Track located at Academy Park High School, 300 Calcon Hook Road, Sharon Hill, PA, 19079.  It is a USATF certified 400M all purpose track (USATF cert # PA18001BW).  USATF 2026 Sanction is pending. Water, a sports drink, and snacks will be provided trackside.  Limited kitchen facility available at this time, so bring you own food.  We will have a menu later.  This is a CUPLESS RACE. Bring reusable cups, bottles, pack, or whatever else to manage your hydration. Port-a-Johns will be available trackside. D3 will have the IAU's BRONZE LABEL! Lisa Napoletano Running with the Angels 5K / 1M Races

In Memory of Lisa Napoletano Lisa Napoletano was a Freshman at Marian and a member of the Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Early March, she was involved in an unfortunate ATV accident and passed away from her injuries. The Marian Community, Cross Country Team, and Track and Field Team was blessed to know her and have her in our lives, even for such a short period of time. Part of this event is dedicated to her memory and the impact she had on her school and her teams. In order to honor her, her family has set up a scholarship fund and non-profit organization "Lisa Napoletano-Running with the Angels" honoring her memory that is awarded to a member of the Cross Country Team, Track and Field Team, or is active in Snowboarding and that display strong team spirit and values academics. This option allows you to donate towards the scholarship fund in her memory as she Runs with the Angels.
