About El Caldito Since 1984, El Caldito Soup Kitchen has served over 3+ million meals to the Las Cruces community. El Caldito's journey began at St. Andrews Church, offering a simple yet significant service: lunch sandwiches, available one day a week. This initiative was a collaborative effort by volunteer groups from St. Andrews, St. Paul's, Holy Cross, and the Jewish Temple. Today, El Caldito Soup Kitchen has grown significantly and serves 300-500 daily meals to individuals, families, and students. At El Caldito, we believe that access to food is a fundamental human right, our refuge provides nourishing meals to those in need. Join El Caldito's fight to end hunger in our community.
