Join us for the Foundation for Haslett Schools Blue and Gold 5K, a fun and family-friendly community race supporting students and educators across the Haslett Public Schools. Whether you are running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, this event brings together families, neighbors, and supporters to invest in programs that enhance learning opportunities, classroom innovation, and student success. The 5K will take place close to the high school with start and finish near the football stadium. A un-timed mile and kids sprint will be held on the track, making this a great event for runners of all ages and abilities. Proceeds from the race directly support the Foundation for Haslett Schools and its mission to enrich educational experiences throughout the district. The MP Strength & Performance Ruck Walk for Mental Health is an untimed 2-mile community walk focused on mental health awareness, movement, and community connection. Participants may wear a ruck, weighted vest, backpack, or walk unweighted. The event is open to all fitness levels and welcomes individuals, families, first responders, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to come out and support mental health awareness. Registration includes an event T-shirt, participant gift bag and a raffle ticket. During the event, participants can enjoy local vendors, raffles, a hydration station, and a relaxed community atmosphere. After the walk, stick around to visit vendor tables, grab a bite from the food truck, and connect with others in the community. Crystal Rush is a brand-new spring mountain bike race at Crystal Mountain, bringing true XCO action to Michigan on a 3.1-mile(ish) lap packed with options and excitement.  Part of the new Boundless Race and Ride Company Grand Prix, it will offer cash prizes and amazing awards. Riders can choose their own adventure each lap: send it on the A-line with jumps, drops, and tech, or take the slightly longer, more traditional B-line down the mountain. Designed in collaboration with Kyan Olshove, Rob Martin (Bike Life with Rob), and Earl Whitney (Crystal Mountain trail guy), Crystal Rush delivers something fresh, fast, and seriously fun to the state’s MTB scene. With projected lap times as quick as 14 minutes, the finish line will be rocking from the opening lap to the final sprint. We're excited to continue to bring you this popular clinic for women and non-binary individuals with options beginner, intermediate, advanced, and adaptive riders. For 2026, we are holding the clinic over two days. Day 1, Saturday May 9, will offer all levels from Beginner to Advanced Tech Descending. Day 2, Sunday May 10, will the same clinics as Sat. plus Intro to Air. The clinic is hosted at Marshall Mountain; beginner and intermediate riders will start in the morning with some skills at the base area with some coffee and snacks--and will head onto the trails after lunch to work on using those skills on single track. We will provide lunch, with gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options either at the base, or on the trail for advanced groups.  Not sure which group to register for? Achieve Balance PLLC sponsors a family-friendly event welcoming runners and walkers of all ages for a morning of health and camaraderie featuring a timed 5k run/walk/stroll in Fort Mill's Springfield neighborhood. Streets will not be closed but the route is entirely within the Springfield neighborhood and will be heavily marked with bright colored cones, signs, and volunteers stationed throughout. Join us for the Gulf Coast Beer & Bacon 5K in Long Beach, MS on May 9, 2026. This thrilling fundraiser, hosted in partnership with Over The Edge, invites 55 supporters to rappel 12 stories down from the roof of Hotel Arista, located in the heart of the CityGate Centre in Naperville, Illinois. Charity Challenge: The Great Descent is a day-long event hosted on May 9th at Hotel Arista. Family, friends, and spectators are invited to come watch and support participants while enjoying music, food, and fun from ground level. The event begins at 11am, with rappelling sessions running on a rotating schedule through 6pm. Participants will be scheduled a week before the event and should plan to spend about 1 hour on prep and rappelling. The 12th annual Mud Gauntlet takes place on one of the Northeast's premier permanent obstacle course venues. The Newbsanity Mud Gauntlet course is consistently nominated as one of the top permanent obstacles courses in the nation. The Shawangunk Runners, with support from the Kiernan Farm/Bruynswick Winery in Gardiner, NY, is hosting  it's second annual 6k (3.8-mile) cross-country run for the benefit of the Ulster County SPCA animal shelter. Animal shelters are in dire need as the number of animals under their care rises.  The farm and winery are beautiful at the foot of the Shawanguk Ridge.  Come run and support the mission of the UCSPCA, listen to music, and have a glass of wine or a beer. The UCSPCA will be there for a meet and greet with some of the shelter animals. We will also have some free dashes for the youngest children. No outside alcohol is allowed. There are overall awards and awards for the top three in all standard 10-year age groups. The day of registration ($35) begins at 9 am, and the race begins at 10 am. Following the incredible success of last year, we are thrilled to announce the 3rd year of The Charlie Holder Sr. Memorial Charity Race featuring the annual 5k run/fun walk and adding a 10K option. This run will begin at 7:30am on Saturday, May 9th. One step at a time we are working together to help support our community by raising money for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Community Center and the Newport County YMCA Summer Scholarship Fund. The 2026 Memphis in May Triathlon and AquaBike Division. On Saturday, May 9, 2026 The Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon will be held at again at Shelby Farms Park.  The 1.5K Swim will take place in Hyde Lake, The 40K Bike Route will take you around the park and the surrounding area.  The 10K Run will be on several of Shelby Farms paved trails.  The Memphis In May Triathlon packet pick up and all of the festivities will be at Shelby Farms Hyde Lake. Funds raised through Hope in Motion directly support client care, helping HOPE continue to serve individuals and families regardless of their ability to pay. As a CCBHC, HOPE provides comprehensive, integrated services including mental health treatment, substance use support, crisis services, care coordination, and recovery-focused programs that meet people where they are. In Memory of Lisa Napoletano Lisa Napoletano was a Freshman at Marian and a member of the Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Early March, she was involved in an unfortunate ATV accident and passed away from her injuries. The Marian Community, Cross Country Team, and Track and Field Team was blessed to know her and have her in our lives, even for such a short period of time. Part of this event is dedicated to her memory and the impact she had on her school and her teams. In order to honor her, her family has set up a scholarship fund and non-profit organization "Lisa Napoletano-Running with the Angels" honoring her memory that is awarded to a member of the Cross Country Team, Track and Field Team, or is active in Snowboarding and that display strong team spirit and values academics. This option allows you to donate towards the scholarship fund in her memory as she Runs with the Angels.

Ryan’s Run: A 5K for Recovery & Hope We are honored to present Ryan’s Run, a community 5K dedicated to celebrating the life of Ryan McDermott, a loving father, son, brother, and friend. Ryan’s journey with substance use was long and difficult, but it never defined who he truly was. He was known for his kind heart, his adventurous spirit, and his deep love of music. Music was the soundtrack of his life, and he often shared it with those around him as a way of connecting, lifting spirits, and creating joy. Although his battle with substance use was painful, programs like those supported by the New Hampshire Coalition of Recovery Residences (NHCORR) gave him years of sobriety, stability, and happiness. Those were years filled with family, laughter, and memories that will be cherished forever. While we grieve the loss of Ryan, we also celebrate his legacy.
