The Newbsanity Mud Gauntlet course is consistently nominated as one of the top permanent obstacles courses in the nation. Bruynswick Winery Run for UCSPCA XC 6K (3.6 mile)

Gardiner, NY
The Shawangunk Runners, with support from the Kiernan Farm/Bruynswick Winery in Gardiner, NY, is hosting  it's second annual 6k (3.8-mile) cross-country run for the benefit of the Ulster County SPCA animal shelter. Animal shelters are in dire need as the number of animals under their care rises.  The farm and winery are beautiful at the foot of the Shawanguk Ridge.  Come run and support the mission of the UCSPCA, listen to music, and have a glass of wine or a beer. The UCSPCA will be there for a meet and greet with some of the shelter animals. We will also have some free dashes for the youngest children. No outside alcohol is allowed. There are overall awards and awards for the top three in all standard 10-year age groups. The day of registration ($35) begins at 9 am, and the race begins at 10 am. Send & Ascend Skills Clinic

We're excited to continue to bring you this popular clinic for women and non-binary individuals with options beginner, intermediate, advanced, and adaptive riders. For 2026, we are holding the clinic over two days. Day 1, Saturday May 9, will offer all levels from Beginner to Advanced Tech Descending. Day 2, Sunday May 10, will the same clinics as Sat. plus Intro to Air. The clinic is hosted at Marshall Mountain; beginner and intermediate riders will start in the morning with some skills at the base area with some coffee and snacks--and will head onto the trails after lunch to work on using those skills on single track. We will provide lunch, with gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options either at the base, or on the trail for advanced groups.  Not sure which group to register for? Gator Grinder Triathlon

The North Lake Physical Therapy Gator Grinder Triathlon is an excellent introduction for the first-time triathlete, as well as a great early season event for the experienced racer.  All proceeds support the Canby Gators Swim Club.  Thank you for your support. Swim 500-yard (20 lengths, 10 laps) pool swim in a 6-lane, 25-yard pool, with up to 4 swimmers per lane. There will be volunteer lap counters. Drafting is permitted. The swim will be seeded by 500-yard swim-time submissions. Heat assignments will be e-mailed by the Thursday before the race. The first heat will be in the water at 7:30 a.m. Check-in at least one hour before your start. Bike The one-loop 12-mile bike course is over the beautiful rolling country roads that surround Canby. Join us for the 5th Annual Race to Space on May 9, 2026, on Linfield University's Wellness Trail. This is a timed race with 12, 8, 6, 3, and 1-hour options, and an alternate 4-loop relay for teams of 2-4 participants. NEW this year is the Bingo Run! For each lap, runners draw a number. Once you have pulled the three numbers that match what appears on your bib, you have finished the race. The First Annual Miles and Mortarboards 5K will be held on May 9, 2026 in Downtown Kingstree. The race will begin in the new Unity Park located on Main Street next to the Train Depot. Day of registration will begin at 8:00 AM and the first pace group will begin at 8:45 AM. Registration is $40 and includes timing and a t-shirt. Children under 12 are free but must be accompanied by an adult. The race route will run through our historic downtown, across HWY 52, into the Black River Gilland Park and return via the same route. Flater's Triple-R-Triathlon

This triathlon is held the 2nd Saturday of each May and includes a 3 mile run, a 10 mile road bike ride, and ends with a 6 mile canoe/kayak trip downriver. Participants can complete the race either solo, as a team (canoe together), or even as a 2 or 3 racer relay (splitting up the race portions). The race starts at noon with a 3 mile run, followed by a 10 mile paved bicycle ride, and a 6 mile canoe or kayak trek downriver.  It starts and ends at Flater's Resort.  The bicycle portion begins at Old Bogie's on Chippewa Avenue, and the canoe/kayak leg begins at River's Edge Resort on County Rd E 6 miles north of Flater's upriver on the Flambeau.  Be sure to arrive early to allow time for parking, bib and t-shirt issue, and crowds. The race fee is $40 per person. Participants receive t-shirts, food, beverages, and entertainment following the race. The race is also professionally timed. Come join us for the 12th ANNUAL Mint Springs Trail 5K++ at Mint Springs Valley Park in beautiful Crozet, Virginia.  This is a family friendly event, but is also a challenging trail 5K course for runners of any experience level.  The course winds up Bucks Elbow Mountain, through beautiful single track trails with views of the valley below, and finally winds around the ponds before finishing by the playground above the lakes.
