***New 2026 Event Updates - Please Read*** Following the unfortunate closure of Silvertown Baptist Church last year, we are thrilled to announce that the Christmas Lane 5K tradition will continue. Thanks to the generous support of the City of Thomaston, this year’s race will take place just across the street from The Greatest Generation Memorial Park, utilizing the same excellent course. All pre- and post-race activities will be hosted at the park pavilion, located just a short walk from the traditional start/finish line in front of the church. Additionally, we are proud to share that the course is now officially USATF-certified, making it an official Peachtree Road Race qualifier. If you are looking for a unique 5k run/walk this year, THIS IS IT! Every December since the 1970's residents on "Christmas Lane/R street" in Thomaston, Ga transform their homes and yards into a magical wonderland with twinkling lights and Christmas decorations galore. Participants will begin and finish in front of the old Silvertown Baptist church and travel down Christmas Lane as well as go thru the Greatest Generation Park and the historic Silvertown subdivision while surrounded by the sights and sounds of Christmas. We hope that you will join us for our annual holiday tradition and that this tradition will become yours as well! Proceeds of the race will benefit the Thomaston-Upson Chamber of Commerce. Based in Johns Creek, Georgia, Special K's continues to be be the reigning Agency of the Year for SOGA (out of over 200 agencies). The first runner to beat Santa across the 5k finish line wins $100! The first runner to beat Mrs. Claus in the 1 mile wins $100! Holiday costumes are encouraged as there will be a Costume Contest. Registration for the costume contest takes place the day of the event and winners will be announced before the start of the 5k & 1 mile race. The Hampshire Township Park District presents the second annual Reindeer Dash! This mile long race is a festive celebration for runners of all experience levels. Run (or walk) for a good cause! This event will also have a DJ to keep things fun, and complimentary hot cocoa and candy canes to keep things warm! We will be collecting items for the Burlington/Hampshire Area Food Pantry and the First United Methodist Church’s clothing drive for the homeless. Special guest appearance by, SANTA CLAUS! Teams with at least 5 participants are eligible for a $2.50 discount (team members 1-4 will get a $2.50 refund once the 5th teammate has registered), and teams with at least 10 participants are eligible for a $5.00 discount (team members who registered before the 10th teammate will be refunded their overage to receive the $5.00 discount). Endurance United Midwest Junior Cup race support Includes: Coaching, ski drop off plan, ski selection recommendations, waxing, race weekend game plan and important race day information. Skiers still need to sign-up separately for racing events on venue website and specify club as Endurance United, wearing EU race suits for competitions. Weekly Strategy/ Technique Sessions @ Battle Creek Included for all athletes who sign up for at least 1 Junior Cup weekend. The Knights of Columbas, Milford, PA host the Annaul Kris Kringle 5K at the Matamoras, PA Airport Park. The course is a flat, fast, fun course great for all level of runners and walkers. This event is meant to showcase the Great Guernsey Trail, while collecting new unwrapped toys that will be donated to the Guernsey County Secret Santa. Individuals that bring a toy will be entered into a chance to win gift cards or cash. The event will be a bib timed race with timing services provided by Muskingum Multi-Sports. Proceeds raised at this event will support the Guernsey County Community Development Corp., a local 501(c)3 non-profit committed to our community’s quality of life. By providing recreational, educational, economic and employment opportunities for our area residents, the CDC is helping to make Guernsey County a great place to live and work! Steven Epifano will be running 100 Miles Solo around San Clementer to raise money for the Robin Ames Foundation. https://www.ramesfoundation.org/ This is not a race, this page is to collect donations. You are more than welcome to join Steve on December 12th as he takes on the 100 mile challenge. Come out for any amount of miles along the beach path in San Clemente, CA. On February 17th, 2020, Robin Ames was struck and killed by a distracted driver while returning home from a cycling ride less than a mile from his home. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and cherished friend to so many and missed immensely. All funds raise will go directly to the Robin Ames Foundation. The fundraising goal is $5000.
