9th Annual 08085 Run/Walk/Sit

BIB AND SHIRT PICKUP will be from 7:00 AM to 9:15 AM on RACE DAY.  Please tell the volunteers at the table your name and they will check you in. The 8K will be 3.1 miles on paved surfaces and 1.9 miles of trail running and will start at 7:45 AM. The Kids' .8 Mile race will start at 9:00 AM. The 5K Run/Walk will be an out and back on all paved surfaces. The 5K run/walk will start at 9:20 AM. Strides for Safety is a family-friendly, timed 5K at Winton Woods organized by Jane Holbrook, a high school junior living with severe food allergies. The event benefits food allergy awareness and advocacy. More than 1 in 13 children and 1 in 10 adults in the U.S. have a food allergy—over 33 million people. A food-allergic reaction sends someone to the emergency room every three minutes. Bull City Beer Mile

The Glass Jug Beer Lab and Bull City Running Co. are proud to present the 5th annual Bull City Beer Mile on Saturday, April 25, 2026 in Downtown Durham's Central Park.   What is a Beer Mile? A 1-mile drinking race combining running and speed drinking. Typically, the race takes place on a 1/4-mile running track (flat). We will be running around Central Park (not flat!). The race begins with the consumption of a 12-oz beer (RUN DRM lager brewed by The Glass Jug Beer Lab), followed by a 1/4 mile lap around the park. The second lap continues similarly; another 12-oz beer is consumed before commencing the running of the second lap. This process is repeated for the next two laps. The campaign provides financial assistance to residents who have had unexpected hardships and outlived their resources. Conquering with Canaan 5K Saturday, April 25, 2026 9:00 am Corwin-Nixon Park, Mason, OH Canaan Joseph Foundation is a non-profit organization with a goal of helping families with children diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease. Every 15 minutes a child born is being diagnosed with a congenital heart disease, the # 1 birth defect in children. On average, 40,000 children born are diagnosed with CHD. With the size of a walnut, many newborns undergo open-heart surgeries in the first few days of their life. It is a world-changing and heart-wrenching journey the loved ones of the child must face. There is no cure for it, only a temporary fix. This means these children go numerous heart surgeries during their lifetime. Many do not make it beyond their first year. Needless to say, one of the hardest battles the loved ones fight along with their little heart warrior. The proceeds from this fundraiser will directly benefit the inpatient families and research in the Cardiac Unit at Cincinnati Ch
