This event is held in honor of Charlie and James Normile and will raise money for the Navy SEAL Foundation in memory of those men who lost their lives serving our country. The festive events include a competitive 5K race with prizes, a 1 mile fun run & canine crawl, and a Gobble Wobble (26.2 meters!) for children 5 and younger.

Thanksgiving Day O'BRiley 5K Turkey Trot in Historic Collinsville Each year, the O'BRiley Turkey Trot donates its proceeds to a national charity as well as a local charity, each of which supports causes that have touched the lives of people in our community. This year, we are proud to be raising money for Connecticut Children's and the Canton Food Bank. 100% of the proceeds, after covering the cost of T-shirts and race supplies, will be donated to Connecticut Children's and the Canton Food Bank. The route is 1 mile long and will have multiple people dressed as turkeys completing the course with you. These turkeys will be running various paces (fastest being sub 6:00/mile) and the goal is to beat as many turkeys as you can! All ages and abilities are welcome to join us for the event. Course description: The race will begin inside of Lander City Park on 3rd Street, near the parking lot for the Lion’s shelter. The race will run North on 3rd street, out of the park past Fremont St and will turn left on Park St. Racers will follow Park Street all the way until it joins back with Fremont Street. At that point, runners will turn left and return to the park. The race will finish on Fremont Street in front of the parking lot on the North side of the park. If the weather restricts our ability to host the race, we will send out an email either night before or morning of informing all participants of cancellation. Join us on Thanksgiving for the 13th Annual Great Turkey Chase. Starting and finishing at Parfet Park in Golden, CO, The Great Turkey Chase is a 5K(ish) fun run for the entire family. Participants will get a free finish line beverage, entry into a raffle and special giveaway.

About the Event Before you get stuffed, join us Thanksgiving morning for a 2 or 4.2 mile walk or run that benefits local Montrose schools. Strollers and well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome. This Montrose tradition is fun for the whole family! Start line: Both races start and finish in the east parking lot of Oak Grove Elementary School in Montrose. Registration: online registration preferred but race-day registration will be available from 8:00am to 8:45am. T-Shirt Option: commemorative Montrose Turkey Trot t-shirt available for $10 during online registration.

Motivate your entire family to get out and run/walk this Thanksgiving week. This year, we are back at Daytona State College! We will be located on the east side of the Flagler Campus. Finisher medals and long-sleeved t-shirts will be awarded while supplies last. This Thanksgiving bring out some Peanut Butter and we will bring our left over gear to the Annual Leftovers 5k hosted at Waterford Landing Association Richmond Hill. This is the most chill race of the year, we want no stress on our thanksgiving morning! Registration: A Jar of Peanut Butter for a local food bank and $5 for non association members. ERS will bring out all kinds of leftover gear including some shirts, medals, mugs and race bibs. Grab a random bib, random shirt and when you finish, pick your random medal! This is the most relaxed thanksgiving race...no stress allowed, no expectations other then invite friends and family to join you and earn some extra Thanksgiving treats! Self Serve Packet pickup race day: Walk up, pickup a bib, sign in and find a gift you like. Self Serve Medals: After you finish find the medal you would like and enjoy it!
