This event is a walkathon on April 26th, 2025 in El Dorado County (EDC). This walkathon will raise money for the non-profit Jenna Sue Souza Furst Memorial Scholarship Fund which provides scholarships and a free therapy session to local high school students within EDC. The walkathon aims to spread mental health awareness with an emphasis on our youth. The trail will start at the Placerville Town Hall, go through main street, and loop back to Placerville Town Hall, utilizing the EDC trail at the end. The registration at the event will begin at 8am and will close at 10am. The walk will begin at 9am. T-shirts and raffle tickets will be available for purchase on this website and at the event. Local businesses will be donating fantastic and generous raffle prizes. If you would like to attend, but not walk, please consider donating $20 and join us at 11am at the Placerville Town Hall. The Hokes Bluff Library Foundation and our co-sponsors, the Hokes Bluff Lions Club and Tawannah Lions Club, invite everyone to join us as we go "BOOKING IT" THROUGH THE BLUFF on April 26, 2025. Options for races include a 10K Run Only beginning at 8:00 AM and a Triathlon starting at 8:30 AM. The triathlon will be an exciting triathlon totaling 42 kilometers starting at the Hokes Bluff Community Center.  Athletes will begin with a 5K run through the streets of Hokes Bluff to Hokes Bluff Ferry Road.  Participants will then kayak 4.5 kilometers paddling with the current on the Coosa River until they reach the designated landing spot at the Coosa Veranda boat ramp. All triathlon participants will be required to wear life jackets when in and around the water. The race will continue, as the challengers complete a vigorous 32.4 kilometers cycle through Eastern Etowah County to the finish line at the Hokes Bluff Community Center. This 5K route starts at 8AM and will take you through historic downtown Anniston, Alabama. It is a certified out and back course that has a few small hills but is mostly flat! We will have some great door prizes and have loads of fun!

Run Paddle Run is a fast-paced, multi-discipline race in Montgomery Whitewater’s Adventure Race Series. The course features a 1.5-mile run, a 2,200-foot creek-channel paddle in inflatable kayaks (duckies), and finishes with another 1.5-mile run back to the raft barn. Montgomery Whitewater is All Forward into the Spring with the first Lil' Tri of the season! Lil' Tri is a fun, kid-friendly triathlon for ages 6-11 featuring a 371-yard flatwater paddle, 704-yard bike ride, and 880-yard run. Montgomery Whitewater will provide all paddle equipment; participants must bring their own bike and helmet and wear secure shoes (no flip-flops or Crocs). Kids ages 6-10 must paddle with an adult in the inflatable kayak; 11-year-olds may paddle solo. Siblings may pair together.  This race is not timed and has no official winners. The Anchorage Running Club's season kickoff event features a 5K and 2.5K race on the trails at Russian Jack Park. Your Anchorage Running Club membership gives you 100% discount on this race, nonmembers pay $25. Join us for this fun race event where the course may have patches of snow left on it in some areas which makes it slightly different and a bit challenging.  Post race there is an award ceremony to give out Over All and Age Group awards as well as snacks, water, and Gatorade.

Ketchikan's first half marathon will **hopefully** return to its traditional route this year, beginning at Rotary Beach and ending at Potlach Park!  Runners, walkers and relay teams will begin at Rotary Beach (Bugge's Beach) and follow Tongass Highway along the water side, 13.1 miles and finish at Potlatch Park.  There is currently no major construction scheduled for Tongass Highway, so we are planning for the half marathon to follow the traditional coastal route along the highway from Rotary Beach, through beautiful downtown Ketchikan and ending north of town at Potlach Park. HOWEVER, construction activities are subject to change, and may disrupt the route again this year. If the route changes we will notify runners and walkers as soon as we are aware of changes. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding. Rest assured that regardless of Ketchikan construction, we will have a beautiful 13.1 mile Southeast Alaskan course with ocean and Totem views.    The event is open to

The Cause - This 5k('ish) fun run is held to honor the memory of Christian Wood, a talented young kayaker who lost his life while paddling on the James River in 2018. The proceeds from this race will be used to fund the work of Friends of the James River Park System (jamesriverpark.org), the Christian Wood Scholarship Fund to send underprivileged kids to Passages Adventure Camp, and the programming of the James River Park System's Education Department. Friends of the James River Park is the largest nonprofit support group for the area's beloved James River Park System. Our mission is to protect, expand, and enhance the James River Park. This is the sixth year of this event in memory of Christian Wood. Christian was a senior at Trinity Episcopal School, an elite kayaker, and a regular counselor and instructor at Passages Adventure Camp. Welcome to our 11th Annual Offramps 5K! We're so glad you've chosen to join us to show your continued commitment to ending human trafficking. The Offramps 5K is an annual event hosted by Freekind to raise awareness of human trafficking and funds to support our prevention and restoration programs. The name of the event refers to our work in creating "offramps to freedom" for victims of commercial sexual exploitation. Because traffickers have stolen away their freedom and manipulated them into believing that there is no other path for them, Freekind works to restore their hope, by providing practical support to give them a way out. By joining us for our annual 5K, you are part of creating offramps to freedom for survivors of human trafficking.   Race Packet-Pickup will be held the morning of race-day! The 6th Annual Fist Bump 5K benefits Family Shelter Services, which provides temporary emergency shelter and transitional housing for those in need. Join us for this fun morning event and support the organization's mission working toward breaking the cycle of homelessness and transforming lives.  Prizes awarded for top finisher in each age group. Walkers, strollers and leashed pets are welcomed! The race will be held in Vint Hill, VA on Fauquier County Park & Rec's Brookside Community Trail.The starting point of the race will be at 4353 Hunsberger Drive, Warrenton, VA. For over 40 years, Family Shelter Services (FSS) has provided temporary emergency shelter and transitional housing support services to homeless individuals and families throughout the greater Piedmont region. Every day we are committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness, FSS depends on the generosity of individuals, community groups and local businesses to maintain and improve upon the services provided. The Osprey Race is an event suitable for participants of all ages and activity levels, offering a well-marked, professionally timed race in one of Virginia’s most scenic state parks. The event is sponsored by Friends of Smith Mountain Lake State Park, Inc., a volunteer 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting the use, enjoyment, and appreciation of the park. Proceeds from the race support park improvements, environmental education, wildlife-focused events, and meaningful community outreach throughout the year. Chip timing provides accurate results, with live results available immediately after finishing. Runners will enjoy post-race refreshments, including recovery drinks, fruit, and energy bars. Top overall and age group finishers for men and women will receive awards, and all participants receive a high-quality moisture-wicking performance shirt as a memento of their accomplishment. Register by Friday, April 3 to guarantee a race shirt. Join us for our 4th annual Vibin' in the Hollow Color Run 5k and 1 mi fun run hosted by the Lynchburg Elementary School PTO on the morning of Lynchburg's Spring in the Hollow, Saturday April 25th, 2026.  Back again this year with timing and age group awards! With a most colorful race start line and opportunities along the route to be doused in safe, non-toxic color powder, this run is certain to be a whole vibe! ✌️ There are two route options: the 5k out and back which will be timed, and a shorter 1 mile out and back for those who want in on the fun without all the extra work! 5k racers will begin at 8 am in a grand plume of color, followed by 1 mile participants.
