Proceeds from the run benefit the Michael Hinson Mission Grants, which support programs that uplift and empower members of the Black LGBTQ+ community. Whether you’re running for fitness, fellowship, or a great cause, this is a wonderful way to move your body, celebrate Pride, and give back. Supporting vulnerable children and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. 100% of funds raised from race participants and donors support Hopewell United Methodist Church’s New Life Rockstars (a Christian program for young adults with disabilities) and our sister ministry, Ma’s for Wellington in South Africa. Ma’s for Wellington serves preschool children and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, providing meals, medical care, transportation, and a safe space to grow in self-worth and belonging. Franklin VNA and Hospice is hosting our 3rd Annual 5k Run/Walk on April 25, 2026, starting at 9am. In honor of the late Lois Bolden, a retired educator and charter member of Theta Theta Omega, and her late husband, Larry Bolden, the first Black Deputy Chief of the Las Vegas Police Department, we recognize their unwavering dedication to service, scholarship, and breaking barriers in the Las Vegas community.  The event will take place along the scenic Bonanza Trail. We are excited to see you all on the course for our 13th annual Firehouse 5K! Over the past eleven years, we have raised over $31,000 for a variety of charities centering around autism support and education. This year, you can run the race alongside local firefighters and many supporters in this community.  The course remains the same as previous years, a 3.1-mile out-and-back course starting and finishing at the firehouse.  If running isn't really your thing, you're welcome to participate in a fun 2-mile walk. Immediately after the race, refreshments, and an award ceremony will follow. The money raised from the Rat Race will now go right back to BR athletics in attempts to improve our athletic facilities, keep highly qualified coaching staff, provide equipment for our athletes, provide an athletic trainer at all home events as well as help cover the cost for opportunities for our athletes to improve their skills and abilities outside the typical season.  This is a fundraising event so in efforts to keep cost low this will not be a chipped event. Runners will all have a BIB and the race will be timed. There are opportunities for individuals to get involved that are not interested in running too, check our sponsorship donations :). We appreciate your dedication and commitment to improving athletics here at Black River, the amount of support and gratitude does not go unnoticed. Welcome to the Annual David McKannan Memorial Run This run is held in memory of David, an avid runner, loving father, husband and brother who lost his battle with ALS in 2012. The 5K race begins at 7:00 a.m. at Ditto Landing (293 Ditto Landing Rd SE, Huntsville, AL 35803). The course is flat and fast running along the shaded paths and along the river. Join The Great Root Movement at Erwin Park — Cutlass Challenge Last Person Standing event. The format is simple: one 4-mile loop every hour, on the hour. Keep showing up. Last one moving wins. Entry is $45 plus a $1 ante for every loop you start. The pot grows with every loop — and the last person standing takes it all. Cutlass is the flattest and fastest section of Erwin Park with only about 20 feet of gain per loop. This isn't about speed. It's about who refuses to stop. A whiteboard will be on-site at the start — runners check in and log each completed loop as they come through. As a bonus, we'll be giving away a few free race entries to our October Love Never Ends Trail Run. Our friend Katie Durst will be onsite as our photographer.  Water and ice will be provided on-site. The Brazos VFD is a dedicated group of volunteers committed to protecting the lives, property and safety of the Brazos community.  We are proud to share that our new fire station is now built and operational, with our fire trucks officially housed in the new facility.  While the structure is complete, we are continuing to finish out essential areas including the bathrooms, offices and kitchen. Funds raised through events like the Crazy 8 Brazos VFD 5K, directly support these final improvements, as well as vital equipment and training, ensuring we can continue to serve our community with excellence for years to come.     We would love to host the race around our new fire station, (201 E Rusk St), though final plans have not yet been made. About: The 21st Annual Run For The Children 10K/5K/1K Fun Run benefiting Virginia's House-Dr. Goodall's House will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the downtown Square in Graham, Texas.  The 10K and 5K courses will take you through the heart of the downtown Square past the old Courthouse arch and around town. Gearhead Endurance Challenge — Presented by Roof Raiders How far will you go? The Gearhead Endurance Challenge is a unique event designed to push participants beyond their perceived limits. Set in the scenic Craighead Forest Park, this challenge consists of 30-minute intervals over a 6-hour period, where participants run a 2.5-mile loop each interval. This event encourages individuals to achieve distances they might have thought unattainable. Whether aiming for a single loop or striving for a 30-mile total, participants define their own goals—making this event less about competition and more about personal endurance and achievement. Proceeds support the Jonesboro DARE Program. Rylen earned his angel wings on June 5, 2017, at only 13.5 months old, after a battle with Bacterial Meningitis. Little but Mighty, Rylen did not leave this earth untouched. Thanks to the medical advances in organ donation, Rylen was able to save 5 lives. We remember Rylen with everything ORANGE, a color of happiness! UTAH SCADaddle Saturday, April 25, 2026   OUR CAUSE Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is a little-known and poorly understood cause of a heart attack. Most patients are young, healthy, and active women who do not have the typical risk factors of heart disease. Although less common, it can affect men too. SCAD can recur and can be fatal. Research is needed to identify the cause(s) and the best treatment options. SCAD is the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50, pregnant women & new moms.   SCADaddle Join us for our 2nd annual Utah SCADaddle to raise money for much-needed SCAD research. Our run/walk takes place in South Jordan City at East Riverfront Park, a family-friendly site with many amenities. The run/walk will start at the East Riverfront Park Pavilion, where the racers will go for 1.55 miles along the Jordan River Parkway. Join us for our 4th annual Vibin' in the Hollow Color Run 5k and 1 mi fun run hosted by the Lynchburg Elementary School PTO on the morning of Lynchburg's Spring in the Hollow, Saturday April 25th, 2026.  Back again this year with timing and age group awards! With a most colorful race start line and opportunities along the route to be doused in safe, non-toxic color powder, this run is certain to be a whole vibe! ✌️ There are two route options: the 5k out and back which will be timed, and a shorter 1 mile out and back for those who want in on the fun without all the extra work! 5k racers will begin at 8 am in a grand plume of color, followed by 1 mile participants.
