The race features a 10K Run, 5K Run, 5K Walk, and a 1 Mile Fun Run for Children! Our race includes: Race Purse, t-shirts and finisher's medals for all participants, and great post event entertainment and food. Proceeds from the race benefit the YMCA Partnership Campaign, a program that provides financial assistance for YMCA membership and programs for needy families.

5K and 1-mile Race Information Calling all the runners in Nacogdoches! Join us for a scenic run or walk through the beautiful SFA campus. The 3rd annual Multicultural Festival 5k and 1 mile will begin held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 7:30 am.  All runners will gather and begin in the parking lot of St. Mary’s Church located at 214 Wettermark St. The 3.1 mile and 1 mile course will wind through the SFA campus. Winners in each category will be recognized and awarded during an awards ceremony after each race.             This race kicks off the Multicultural Festival weekend event located at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The FOURTH ever Leander Band 5k will be held on Saturday, April 25th!!! The mission of the race is to assist in fundraising efforts for the internationally-decorated Leander HS Band Program. Registration is open to any and all ages, and prizes will be awarded in several categories. Race registration includes a commemorative t-shirt (up to a certain registration date) and access to post race snacks! The course takes you on a tour of our campus, surrounded by the music of our young musicians.    After you finish the race, you will be treated to displays and giveaways from all of our sponsors and local vendors on the stadium turf!   A FREE Kiddie K (400m) will take place prior to the start of the 5k. We are excited to see you all on the course for our 13th annual Firehouse 5K! Over the past eleven years, we have raised over $31,000 for a variety of charities centering around autism support and education. This year, you can run the race alongside local firefighters and many supporters in this community.  The course remains the same as previous years, a 3.1-mile out-and-back course starting and finishing at the firehouse.  If running isn't really your thing, you're welcome to participate in a fun 2-mile walk. Immediately after the race, refreshments, and an award ceremony will follow. The GASP is back! Originally created in the late 1970s by a group of cyclists who shared a love of long rides and great Texas beer, the GASP became a beloved Texas cycling tradition. Now it returns as the Greater Area Shiner Pedal. Run through the wildflowers on our beautiful 5k course to kick off the Wildflower Trails festival in downtown Linden, TX. Supporting vulnerable children and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. 100% of funds raised from race participants and donors support Hopewell United Methodist Church’s New Life Rockstars (a Christian program for young adults with disabilities) and our sister ministry, Ma’s for Wellington in South Africa. Ma’s for Wellington serves preschool children and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, providing meals, medical care, transportation, and a safe space to grow in self-worth and belonging. Perkiomen  Fire Company 5k A chipped timed race on local favorite Perkiomen Trail  starting and ending at the graitford trail head across from the fire station. Race will head north on the trail and turnaround  after the green bridge over the Perkiomen creek. Course is subject to change as portions of course can flood do to close proximality of the creek.
