Get some miles in at this family-friendly run/walk! Timed events: 5K, 10K or 1 mile options that will take you through Historic Downtown Cape Charles, overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. Start times will be STAGGERED for the 1 Mile (9:00 AM), 10K (9:15 AM) and 5K (9:30 AM). All events require registration and include a t-shirt, timed event,  post-run-party with music, kids' activities, snacks, and a finisher medal (4th in a series of 4). Participants can opt to participate in the color zone and be sprayed with bright, fun, harmless, and environmentally safe colors. This color zone will be available for all events: 10k, 5k, and 1 mile. Join the Kalkaska Cross Country and Track and Field teams as we present the return of the Wood Memorial Trout Run! The Wood Memorial Trout Run commemorates Chad Wood and his father Stafford. Chad was an avid runner and a youth leader in many ways. Stafford was a collegiate runner and ran countless races and marathons, who was one of Kalkaska’s treasured teachers, coaches, and administrators. In their memory, proceeds from the race are used to help fund the Kalkaska High School Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Stafford’s grandchildren and Chad’s niece and nephews have been avid runners; this race is a great way to pay homage to this family that has supported the Kalkaska Community over the years. Race will head north on the trail and turnaround  after the green bridge over the Perkiomen creek. Course is subject to change as portions of course can flood do to close proximality of the creek. RUN / WALK STEPS OFF AT 9:30AM A fun timed 5K race / walk  to benefit Search and Rescue Teams of Warren County (SARTWC),  a a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to finding those who are lost/missing or in need of wilderness rescue. We regularly assist local first responders, law enforcement, and other regional SAR Teams. Our members are highly trained volunteers committed to training and response. We are excited to see you all on the course for our 13th annual Firehouse 5K! Over the past eleven years, we have raised over $31,000 for a variety of charities centering around autism support and education. This year, you can run the race alongside local firefighters and many supporters in this community.  The course remains the same as previous years, a 3.1-mile out-and-back course starting and finishing at the firehouse.  If running isn't really your thing, you're welcome to participate in a fun 2-mile walk. Immediately after the race, refreshments, and an award ceremony will follow. And don’t forget — in addition to your race T-shirt, just like last year, the first 200 sponsors and/or race participants will receive our exclusive Firehouse 5K Finisher Medal!

Can't make it on race day but still want to support worker safety? No Problem! The FOURTH ever Leander Band 5k will be held on Saturday, April 25th!!! The mission of the race is to assist in fundraising efforts for the internationally-decorated Leander HS Band Program. The 3rd annual Multicultural Festival 5k and 1 mile will begin held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 7:30 am.  All runners will gather and begin in the parking lot of St. Mary’s Church located at 214 Wettermark St. The 3.1 mile and 1 mile course will wind through the SFA campus.
