Explore the many trails of Carter Park which is behind the Historic Kings Mansion. The course will be fun and challenging. You will do a loop that will take you to down near the Little Miami River. Join us for the popular Athens Fair 5K Run/Walk that takes place in downtown Athens as part of the Annual Athens Fair.  This year is the 16th running of the popular mid-summer run. The 5K starts at Memorial Park, (in front of the Beer Tent) routes through the scenic Erbach Park trails and finishes on Kreutzer Street at in Downtown Athens, next to the grocery store, Main Street Market.  The race is made possible by the following local businesses and organizations. Local businesses generously sponsor the giveaways including T-shirts, finish line snacks and beverages, water stops, and awards. Registration proceeds support the many activities of the Athens Fair Members of the Athens Area Trail Association manage the race. Donations can be made on the donation page to support the trails.

The Race Series kicks off in late April 2025 and will conclude with a two-day event at the end of August in downtown Canton. The series is produced by Run to You Racing, which means you can expect a quality event with great race swag! ​​

This race is a 5k mud run, featuring 20+ obstacles for you to conquer! Many of the obstacles include a "challenge" side, as well as an "Xtreme" side, making our course fun for anyone! Even if you believe you fall under the "couch potato" status, our course will help you prove to yourself that you have what it takes to tackle obstacles you thought you couldn't! This event will not have age group/gender awards. We will be awarding every participant with a medal. Even though we will not have official times, you will still be able to see an overall time that you completed the race with our race clocks. With registration you will receive an event T-shirt, a wristband, and a medal! Signing up within the first 4 waves will grant the option to also run the course a second time for $5! The course starts and finishes in Estabrook Park at the beer garden. Runners will enjoy a few miles around beautiful Estabrook Park before heading out onto the lovely and mostly shaded Oak Leak Trail bike path. Runners will return to the finish line at the Estabrook Park beer garden to enjoy a great post-race party with the famous hot breakfast, beverages, beer, and music! Breakthrough for Brain Tumors 5K (BT5K) Run & Walk events, are moving to more flexible programming, where anyone, anywhere can participate. This customizable fundraising event allows the ABTA to focus on the health and safety of the brain tumor community and meet local city and state guidelines due the impact of the coronavirus. Personalized participation in the 5K events help raise necessary funds to support brain tumor research and patient programs and services.

Nicole was a supporter and champion of mental health during her life, both personally and professionally, as a social worker and community volunteer; in the wake of her untimely death, the First We Live Foundation was created in recognition of the special person she was and the connections she made with so many; and as a result, the Nicole Moniz Memorial 5k has become an annual event in her honor to raise awareness and fund our mission to support and cultivate access to integrated mental health programs and services for those who encounter societal barriers in identifying and attending to their mental health needs, especially youth and those engaged in helping professions.

Join us for the 4th annual Kenmore Quad event, presented by the City of Kenmore! Event takes place Saturday August 22nd from 9am - noon. This unique event takes the traditional triathlon to the next level with an added paddling component (kayak or SUP). Limited watercraft rentals are available while supplies last. Take on this challenge solo or enlist a group of friends (up to 4 participants in a relay) to enjoy the scenic Kenmore waterfront.  This event is not timed so just relax and have fun in this non-competitive community activity.
