Vineyard City would like to invite you to join us for our 2025 Blizzard 5K & Kids 1K Races! With various flat city trails included in the 5K Route, you could get a personal record time! With Dairy Queen as a race sponsor, each participant will receive a voucher for a FREE Dairy Queen Blizzard!  5K race will be chip-timed, the 1K will not be chip-timed. Strollers are allowed in each race. However, child(s) in a stroller are not allowed to win the top overall male/female award, nor an age division medal. We will also be running Sunday's 1/2 Marathon in addition to the traditional Saturday Races. So, you may run the 1/2 marathon on either Saturday or Sunday (same course, same support, but two separate awards.)  If you want to run the Marathon, 10K or Kids K- they will be offered on Saturday only.  We added the Sunday 1/2 Marathon since Saturdays 1/2 Marathon fills up very early. The 12th annual Granite City 5K Run/Walk for Veterans | Saturday, November 7, 2026.  The Granite City 5k Run/Walk is to celebrate the service people in our armed forces and raise awareness of the many challenges veterans endure. D.C. has over 500 homeless veterans living on the streets or temporary housing facilities. During the winter months, these veterans face extreme cold out in the elements and have no where to turn for support and a hot meal. The Feed a Veteran 5K on Saturday, November 7, 2026 is a fun 3.1 mile road race on an enclosure golf car path of Old Hickory Golf Course in Woodbridge, VA. The race is organized with community partners to raise money and provide hot food and winter survival kits for the homeless veterans in DC and provide suicide prevention programs for veterans. What makes this race incredibly unique is that after the race, all participants and volunteers will have the opportunity to assemble sandwiches and soup that will be delivered to these homeless veterans the afternoon after the race! This run is in memory of Bob Gurtler, former mayor of the Plains, chemical engineer(rocket scientist) and life long runner. As a member of many running clubs. He mentored many beginning runner, supported the running community, and advocated for the health and well being of all.  The race starts at 8am at Grace Episcopal Church in the Plains, Va. and proceeds through town and down to Hopewell road. It continues to the halfway point and returns on the same course back to the church where it finish.  All proceeds go to the local food pantry, Peas & Grace.

The Noland Trail 50K & Relay gives runners the opportunity to race the ONLY event run on the beautiful Noland Trail in The Mariners’ Museum Park. The 50K will consist of 6 laps on the trail, and a short section of course before and after each trail lap. Relay teams can be made up of 2-6 team members, and take on the 6 laps together. US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Overview The Possum at Woolly Hollow is a 6-hour, 4-person team running event at Woolly Hollow State Park on November 1st, 2025. It will be run on November 7th, 2026, with an 8:00 AM start time on the roads and Huckleberry trail circumnavigating Lake Bennett. This is a 6-hour team event involving four participating runners. Rules Each team will be comprised of 4 team members. All 4 members must run the first loop together. After that any number of team members may run together (1-4) but must stay together for the entire loop.Each loop completed per runner will receive one entry into the post-race drawing.The team with the most entries automatically gets to select their prize for finishing first overall. The Promise House is a transitional recovery house for women in Northeast Arkansas, it is faith-based and supported by Southwest Church and what was formerly the HUB.
