15th Annual RUN for your LUNGS! Jackie's Run for Life @ Lake Blackshear Resort in Cordele GA!  This is a Clover & Black Bag Event, and raises awareness for the deadliest cancer of all cancers, Lung Cancer.  We are our own 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to helping folks in our area struggling with the disease.  Each participant receives a GREAT long sleeve T-shirt, goody bag, lunch & beverages (beer for 21 & up!!) after the run!!!  Thursday 10/30 Packet Pick up will be at Austins Fire Grill on Old Dawson Road in Albany from 4-6 PM,  Friday Oct 31st @ Cypress Grill from 4-6 PM at Cypress Gill and you can also get your packet on Saturday morning Nov 1st. Bob Gurtler Memorial 5K Run/Walk

This run is in memory of Bob Gurtler, former mayor of the Plains, chemical engineer(rocket scientist) and life long runner. As a member of many running clubs. He mentored many beginning runner, supported the running community, and advocated for the health and well being of all.  The race starts at 8am at Grace Episcopal Church in the Plains, Va. and proceeds through town and down to Hopewell road. It continues to the halfway point and returns on the same course back to the church where it finish.  All proceeds go to the local food pantry, Peas & Grace.

Noland Trail 50K and Relay

The Noland Trail 50K & Relay gives runners the opportunity to race the ONLY event run on the beautiful Noland Trail in The Mariners’ Museum Park. The 50K will consist of 6 laps on the trail, and a short section of course before and after each trail lap. Relay teams can be made up of 2-6 team members, and take on the 6 laps together. In between laps runners can hang out together in "Tortuga" and enjoy time with one another. All runners gain access to the Mariners' Museum Fall Festival that will feature live music, craft beer & cider tastings and activities for the entire family.  The race start times are set up so that the slowest runners/teams start first (7:30AM is first wave of runners), and throughout the morning gradually faster runners/teams will start, with the fastest runners starting around 8:45-9:00AM. A History of the MCL/TEL Semper Fi 5K Charity Run for Children The origin of the run was as a fundraiser for the children and families of the Marines and Sailors who had perished in the Marine Barracks Beirut, Lebanon terrorist bombing attack on October 23, 1983. Marine 1stLt Chris Holzworth, having recently reported to the Marine Air Training and Support Group-21 (MATSG-21), Naval Air Station Pensacola, for flight training, presented the idea for the charity run to the CommandingOfficer, Colonel Robert “Bull” Bland, USMC. MATSG-21 adopted the idea and became the first sponsor of the event, initially named The Beirut Relief 10K Run. Colonel Bland assigned 1st Lt Chris Holzworth, who had initiated the idea, as the first Race Director. NAS Pensacola hosted the first run on Armed Forces Day in May 1984 with Brigadier General Joseph Hoar, USMC representing Headquarters Marine Corps and receiving the proceeds of the race. Storm Warriors Boardwalk 5k Run/Walk

MCRRC Stone Mill 50 Mile Run

Welcome to the MCRRC Stone Mill 50 Mile Run!   This 50 mile trail run showcases the beauty of both the Seneca Greenway and Muddy Branch trails in Montgomery County, Maryland. The course traverses forested, rolling terrain on a primarily single track, dirt trail.  There are small stream crossings.  Most of the course drains well, but parts can be muddy in wet weather. Volunteer! As a participant in this event, we ask that you commit to volunteer 6 or more hours before race day with your local running club, any local race, work on the trails or any other running-related non-profit organization (such as Girls on the Run, Let Me Run, etc.).  This is done on the honor system.  No proof will be requested.

Narrow Way

The Allegany County FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) has hosted the Narrow Way race annually since 2019 to generate scholarship funding to send more students to local and regional FCA camps.  Students that attend these camps often have life changing experiences. Race For The Birthplace 4 Miles

The race is part of the King & Queen Series and the Tennessee Running Tour.  The race is owned and managed by the State of Franklin Track Club.  It is part of SFTC's 2026 King & Queen Competition series.  David Crockett Birthplace State Park will be open for the race but with limited access.  Because of the limited access to the park, I will not be having an age group awards ceremony, but each runner will receive a medal at the finish line.  But the overall male & female will receive a trophy at the finish line.  Also, I will have a donation jar for donation for the "Friends of the Park" to help restore the park.                                                        THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS
