Kick off your Thanksgiving Season with the 19th Annual Cooper Farms Turkey Trot!   Race - Gobble - Give   CHARITY: Proceeds to benefit EverHeart Hospice.   On race morning, registration starts promptly at 9:00 AM.  Race day registration is $25 and shirts are $15 if available.   RACE INFORMATION: The flat 3.1 mile course will start and finish at Cooper Farms with splits at each mile.Water will be provided on the course. Austin State Park in San Felipe allowing a large grass area for personal aid setup around our group dining hall screen shelter as well as reserved campsites and full hookup RV sites. The group dining hall area hosts a large grass area for runners to set up personal crew spots (see below information). The SFA State Park has a network of wide, well-maintained, trails, primarily crushed gravel, with minimal elevation change.    Back for year four, The Big Tex Backyard is a "last runner standing" format event with a 4.17 mile "yard" starting every hour, on the hour, until there is only one remaining. EVENT: 14th Annual RISING SUN RUN DESCRIPTION: Located on the high desert plain of southeast Arizona, Sierra Vista offers the ideal venue to stage a beautiful and challenging Half Marathon and 5K event with a 1M fun Run/Walk. Starting at 4,500 feet and with the Huachuca mountains as their background, the courses wind through country neighborhoods with the half marathon continuing up to its turnaround at the entrance to the beautiful Ramsey Canyon Preserve at 5500’ of elevation. The return to the half marathon finish line affords beautiful vistas of the San Pedro River valley to the end of the run. Both courses are USA Track & Field certified. Explore The Falls Race is the perfect balance of road and trail racing that navigates around Lake Holcomb and the streets of The Falls at Imperial Oaks community.  Send the kids off and watch them finish their 1k run before you begin your own race.  Whether you participate in the 5K or challenge yourself for a little more trail running on the 10K course, make the family proud and pick up one of the few hidden frozen turkeys for the upcoming holidays! Kids 1K Course is an out and back, all on a safe, blocked off road. The 5K Course is 1 mile road, 1 mile gravel/grass/trail, 1 mile road (out and back). The Patriot’s Run 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run takes place Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Red Tail Pavilion, Oak Point Park in Plano—home of the Plano Flags of Honor. Tentatively: The morning begins with a Presentation of Colors by Allen High School MCJROTC and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Congressman Keith Self, followed by a 7:30 AM warm-up, the 1-Mile Fun Run (8:00 AM), and the 5K Run (8:30 AM). Wheeled participants will have a 5 minute head start. After the race, enjoy a community celebration featuring awards, sponsor booths, food, music, and vendor prize giveaways immediately following the ceremony. Run, walk, ride or cheer—every step honors those who served and celebrates the freedom they defended. Proceeds from the event help fund veteran assistance programs, student scholarships, and outreach efforts that uphold the VFW’s mission of service to veterans, their families, and our nation.

Wahlen Veterans Home in Ogden, where veterans receive compassionate, high-quality care in a respectful and supportive environment. The home provides medical services, rehabilitation, and daily activities that honor the dignity and sacrifice of those who served. Join us for the Veterans Tribute Run on Saturday, November 1, at 8:00 AM in Marriott-Slaterville. This 5K run and walk brings our community together to honor our veterans and support their well-being. All proceeds benefit the Veterans Activity Fund, which provides entertainment, outings, and special programs that enrich the lives of residents at the Wahlen Veterans Home.
