The 27th annual Rattlesnake Master Run for the Prairie includes a 10K and 5K run and 5K walk that benefits Grand Prairie Friends, a non-profit land trust and conservation group in central Illinois.  This race circles the beautiful 130-acre Meadowbrook Park and prairie in Urbana, Illinois and includes some trail running. Wellington 5k, 10 Miler and Tower Challenge

Wellington, FL
The Wellington 5k and 10 Miler is designed to be the perfect fall tune up race for those training for fall races, including half and full marathons.  The course begins and ends at Tiger Shark Cove Park in Wellington, Florida.  The 5k course runs along a path on Greenbrier Boulevard, while the 10 Miler runs through the scenic Wellington Environmental Preserve at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Everglades Habitat located on Flying Cow Road.  The 10 mile run is a combination of paved path, shell rock road and boardwalks through the wetland habitat.  If you are looking for the extra challenge, then sign up for the 10 Miler Tower Challenge.  You will run up and down the 5-story tower during the 10 mile race.  This race is entering its 20th year and has consistently been a one-of-a-kind experience.  Race proceeds benefit the Kids Cancer Foundation and other local charities.

This chip timed 10k starts and finishes at the Putnam County Junior High School located at 13183 N 350th Ave, McNabb, IL 61335. It is an out and back 10k on nicely paved county roads surrounded by beautiful country scenery. It is possible to see deer, turkey, and eagles while running. The course is a mix of hills and flat areas. Water stations will be available on the course. Strollers and walkers welcome, but please no headphones. There will be volunteers at each mile marker and intersection for traffic control, but the course will be open to local traffic. Emergency crew coverage available. There is a two-hour time limit on the course. Post-race food and beverages provided. Race sweatshirt guaranteed to all participants who are pre-registered by October 11th, 2026. The GenesisHR Battlegreen Run will be celebrating the 31st RUNNING of this race on Sunday, November 1, 2026 in Lexington, MA! Since its inception in 1996, the GenesisHR Battlegreen Run has been established as one of the most popular road race events in New England. This race event is unlike any other racing event from start to finish. Dan Healy Memorial 5K

SCPO DANIEL R. HEALY Senior Chief Petty Officer Daniel R. Healy, US Navy SEAL, BUD/S Class 176, SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team One, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, was born on July 17, 1968 in Exeter, NH and KIA in the Hindu Kush mountains of Kunar Province, Afghanistan on June 28, 2005 during Operation Red Wings. SCPO Healy was lost when the MH-47 helicopter he was aboard on a rescue mission was shot down when going to the aid of a team of four SEALs on a reconnaissance mission who were embroiled in a battle with a larger force of the Taliban.  When word got back to base about their plight, their fellow SEALs went into action filling two helicopters to go to their aid.  Due to his rank as a Senior Chief Petty Officer, Dan Healy did not have to go on that mission, but he insisted.  Taking men off of the lead helicopter SCPO Healy told the others “Those are my men and my face is going to be the first one they see”. For his actions, SCPO Healy was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star with Combat “V” f

Waldenwoods Turkey Trot - Hartland Area Project Fundraiser

This gorgeous trail race benefits the Hartland Area Project, 10am Sunday, November 1st, 2026.  The race trail winds around Lake Walden with a start and finish at Waldenwoods Resort & Conference Center, the crown jewel of Livingston County (established in 1924).  Registration is $30 until Oct 20th, $35 until Nov 2nd, and $40 day of race. Ocotillo Trail Endurance Challenge

We are so excited to be back for our second year!  Located in the beautiful Southwestern Chihuahuan Desert, this race takes you through the canyon south of the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens on State Park and city land. Open to runners, hikers, ruckers, and walkers, you can participate in 1 of 3 challenges: 1 hour, 4 hour, or 8 hour challenge. D.C. has over 500 homeless veterans living on the streets or temporary housing facilities. During the winter months, these veterans face extreme cold out in the elements and have no where to turn for support and a hot meal. The Feed a Veteran 5K on Saturday, November 7, 2026 is a fun 3.1 mile road race on an enclosure golf car path of Old Hickory Golf Course in Woodbridge, VA. The race is organized with community partners to raise money and provide hot food and winter survival kits for the homeless veterans in DC and provide suicide prevention programs for veterans. What makes this race incredibly unique is that after the race, all participants and volunteers will have the opportunity to assemble sandwiches and soup that will be delivered to these homeless veterans the afternoon after the race!
