The Junction Jamboree Jog will continue to offer a 5K, 10K and 10-Miler.  The 10K and 10-Miler are out and back courses on the Firefly Trail.  The proceeds will go to improvement projects in Union Point, including the Southern Terminus of the Firefly Trail.   These are the final races in the 2026 Firefly Trail Race Series.

Top of Tamarack is where mental health meets mental strength, all for a good cause! This is an event unlike any other!   Participants run, hike, or bike up the mountain and soak up the epic views of Valley County! You can choose to tackle any distance along the service road leading up to the summit.  The maximum distance is 15 miles round trip with a full 2,900 foot elevation climb to the Top of Tamarack.  There is no DNF (did not finish) in this race.  Each mile post along your journey will be marked with a special token, reminding you that you have achieved a great distance and you are “mentally strong.”  Collect as many tokens as you can and then head back down the mountain to celebrate your achievement.  The first male and female to reach the top (for both biking and running) will be crowned King and Queen of the Mountain! The first flight of the A-7 Corsair II took place 26 September 1965.  The airframe would go on to serve in every major conflict from Vietnam to Desert Storm. Utilized by the US Navy, US Air Force, US Air National Guard, Portuguese Air Force, Thai Air Force, and Hellenic Air Force, the Corsair II was finally retired from service in 2014.  To commemorate this aircraft's storied history and the sacrifice of those service members who flew and maintained the airframe throughout its 49 year history, the A-7 Corsair II Association (www.corsair2.us) is hosting its fifth annual virtual 5K run/walk. Come run into the sunset and enjoy the Georgia night with the Red Dirt Runners at the 2nd Annual "Rollin Into The Night" 6 Hour trail run. This is a completely free run.  You only pay in sweat and hopefully not tears.  Donations to help offset some of the cost are appreciated. The course is a 2-mile single track trail loop with plenty of trees, creek beds, and challenging short climbs.  There is approximately 250' of elevation gain per loop.  Thanks to Hurricane Helene, this year's course has been modified and is the same as the “Southern Chicken Fried 25/50K" course. The Jamestown Rhode Race will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026.  The half-marathon is set on picturesque Conanicut Island and looks out over Narragansett Bay and the Newport Pell Bridge, the largest suspension bridge in New England.  The course features vivid landscapes, winding roads, historic Watson Farm as well as the village of Jamestown with its small shops and quaint restaurants.  Nautical but nice! ⚓️ The race will start at 7:00 am and has a 3.5 hr time limit.  The race has a limit of 425 participants. Join the Michigan Men's Health Foundation for our 15th annual Men’s Health Event on September 20, 2025, at Ford Field from 9a-3p! Since our first Men’s Health Event in 2011, we have provided nearly 118,000 FREE life-saving screenings to over 10,000 attendees. We have helped countless men gain control over their health and identified critical illnesses including hypertensive crises, diabetes, and prostate cancer, to name a few. The Men's Health Event will provide men with health screenings to assess their current health, give them a better understanding of how to stay healthy, and share information about advances in healthcare. All health screenings are FREE for men, no insurance necessary. Men age 18 and older will be eligible to receive health screenings. Women and children are welcome to attend with the men they love, but are not eligible for health screenings or an event t-shirt. Calling all runners, walkers, amblers, and wanderers to the woods and fields of Almont’s beautiful Camp Skyline. Skyline boasts 200 acres, including the highest point in Lapeer County. Welcome to the second annual Campfire 5K! The 5k race starts at 9 a.m, with the 1 mile race starting shortly after at 9:10 a.m.. Packet pickup/Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. The Routes Both the 1 mile and 5k courses will include wooded trails, fields, and a private dirt road. No public roads are in use as part of the event. The 5 Mile International Bridge Run on Day 1 is a RUN.  You are required to maintain a pace of 15 minutes per mile or faster in order to ensure the International Bridge can open back up in the appropriate time.  This is NOT A WALK.  Those who walk the entire course and are struggling to maintain pace may be asked to stop and receive a shuttle from the International Bridge Authority.  There is a free annual walking event over the International Bridge in late June that usually coincides with Engineers Day.  There is a 5K Walk downtown that DOES NOT CROSS THE BRIDGE on Day 2 with its own division.   The 2026 Sault International Festival of Races will take place September 26-27, 2026.  Races will begin at 8:00am on both Saturday (5 Mile Bridge Run) and Sunday (Half Marathon, 5K Run, and 5K Walk).  For those traveling from Canada make sure to note the bridge will have a specific closing time prior to the race (7:45-9:45am).  Give yourself additional time in case of a traffic backup.  The la

Bear Lake Tavern's 2nd Annual 5k Run/Walk for Brain Aneurysm Awareness Join us for a morning for fitness, fun and community all for a great cause. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 26, 2026. Bear Lake Tavern is hosting it's 2nd annual 5K run/walk for brain aneurysm awareness. The Ville to Ville Sprint Relay is a 3-person running relay. Teams will complete 21 miles with a start and finish at Trailblazer Park in Travelers Rest, SC. Runners will travel the Swamp Rabbit Trail and enjoy a festive post-race tailgate celebration with music, college football, and craft brews. Enjoy all the fun of Ville to Ville camaraderie in a shorter timeframe without needing a team vehicle. Race Format The event features six legs, with each consecutive leg getting shorter by one mile. Three team members will split the six legs, with runner #1 completing Legs 1 & 4, runner #2 completing Legs 2 & 5, and runner #3 completing Legs 3 & 6. All teams will start the event at 10 am.
