This event will be the 10th annual Stop, Drop, and Roll 5K. Always a huge success, 2026 will hopefully be even bigger and better. This year, donations will go towards the Guilford Composite Squadron of Civil Air Patrol. All 5K participants will receive a short-sleeved t-shirt and a finisher surprise! The day will start with a fun run for the smaller runners followed by a 5K run/walk which is the main event of the day. Following the 5K, there will be fresh warm chili served at the fire station free of charge. This unique event is great for your company or organization to be a part of. "Peter's Run 5K Race & The Bryant Mile" is hosted by the Rose of Sharon Laymen's League in Bear Grass NC. The 5K race will be for runners that enjoy the spirit of competition. We will recognize the winners in all age groups for both men and women. The date will be September 27, 2025.  It will be professionally managed by Run The East.   The Bryant Mile will be for those that would like to walk in support of the Project. It is named after and in memory of Pastor Bryant Hines who went to be with the Lord in 2017. Pastor loved to take his church members on field trips and always found a way to end those trips with a quick stop at Krispy Kreme. This event will benefit ovarian cancer research through the Mucinous Ovarian Cancer Coalition. We are excited to offer a yearly event to raise funds and awareness about ovarian cancer. There is no screening method to detect ovarian cancer. The signs and symptoms of the disease are often vague. Some of the signs/symptoms include bloating, feeling full quickly, abdominal or pelvic pain, and urinary frequency. All women with ovaries are at risk for this disease. Join us at 9am on Saturday, September 26th on the iconic Newstead 5K course, starting at the South Mountain Annex and running through the beautiful Newstead neighborhood!!!  Participants will receive a race T-shirt and collapsible cup (while supplies last). The Race for the Bays will occur on the last day of National Estuaries Week. This is a fun way to close out a week of appreciation for our estuary and natural resources by running through Conservation Park that was created to rehydrate wetlands using the City of Panama City Beach’s reclaimed water. Enjoy a beautiful, rolling course through the streets of Union with a challenging but rewarding finish at the top of Autumn Hill. The 10K and the 5K runners will start at the same time. The 5K is a single loop course. As the 5K runners make the last turn onto Autumn Hill Drive the 10K runners will continue straight and proceed to run an additional 3 miles through Union. Aid stations will be provided along the 5K and 10K routes. Post race refreshments will also be provided. The 10K and 5K (ish) are chip timed events and medals will be awarded. The 2K (1.2 mile) fun run/walk will not be officially timed and no medals will be provided. By handling only one or two cases at a time (compared to a social agency caseworker's average load of 60 – 90), the CASA volunteer has the time to explore each assigned case's history thoroughly. (9750 SR 185, Covington, Ohio 45318) DIRECTIONS: From Interstate 75 north & south, get off on exit 74, which is St Rt 41, in Troy.  Go west, out of Troy, to Covington.  41 stops at State Route 48. Race Overview  Enjoy the beautiful Iowa River Greenbelt with this 13.1 mile paved loop beginning in Eldora, taking you along the River's Edge Trail to Steamboat Rock, and coming back to Eldora through the beautiful Pine Lake State Park. The race will start and end at Memorial Park on the east side of Eldora located near the Welcome Center. We will be donating the proceeds from the run to the continued progress on the River’s Edge Trail. Be greeted by our small town charm along the route and at the start and finish line. Vet Fest 2026 Run. Ruck. Walk. Ride. Vet Fest provides an annual uplifting opportunity for the military and civilian communities to stand together against military and veteran suicide. Focusing on physical fitness, participants are invited to run, ruck, ride, roll or walk their way through their community. Honoring the founding location of Vet Fest, Whitehall Delaware will still host the annual event with participants from around the country invited to join in nationally where they are. Virtual runs and rides will take place all weekend long - banning together as a nation to benefit Stop Soldier Suicide’s efforts to reduce the epidemic of military suicide.   All registrants will be mailed a commemorative Vet Fest 2026 event T-shirt.
