Starts and finishes at the Bandy Creek Campground in the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. COURSE DESCRIPTION: This 17.5 Mile out-and-back, loop course starts and ends at the John Litton General Slavens Trailhead. Come join this youth event of triathlon hosted by National Fitness Center for kids ages 2-14! Register for a choice of 3 races: Long Sprint - 8:00 am start - 100 yard swim/3.0 mile bike/1 mile run Mid Sprint - 8:45 am start - 50 yard swm/1.5 mile bike/.5 mile run Tadpole Sprint - 9:20 am start - 25 yard swim/.75 mile bike/.5 mile run   Ages 2 to 14, can do any race based on distance and start time. For the tadpole sprint, the kids can watch the first race to get an example of how it's done. The Big Dam Bridge 100 is an annual event in central Arkansas that celebrates the "Big Dam Bridge" over the Arkansas River. The 4,226-foot bridge is the longest bridge built for pedestrian and bicycle traffic in North America. It connects over 40 miles of scenic riverside trails between Little Rock and North Little Rock. It also serves as the backbone for connecting over 70,000 acres of various city, county, state & federal parks. The BDB 100 offers several routes ranging between 15 and 105 miles, with beautiful mountain and river scenery, as well as a few challenging hills on the longer routes. “Racin’ the Station” Duathlon is a non-sanctioned USAT Run/Bike/Run event where theparticipants will “race” the International Space Station (ISS) as it completes one Earthorbit—91 minutes & 12 seconds.
