Registration is open for our 2026 Joshua's Great Things 5K and Fun Run! Come for the run and stay for the fun! This is a great, family friendly race held in conjunction with the Amelia Earhart Festival, which is BACK this year!. Choose from the challenging 8k run/walk that provides some hills to test your training, or the 2k which is mostly flat with one uphill and one downhill, perfect for aspiring runners/walkers! It is chip timed with finishers medals given to help enhance those bragging rights! The race begins and ends at the Atchison Family YMCA. After the run, head on over to the mall area for even more family fun! This is not a closed course race.

The Peaks to Portland Swim to Benefit Kids is one of the oldest open water swims in the world; since before World War II thousands have braved Maine’s waters to swim the 2.4 miles from Peaks Island to Portland’s East End Beach.

2026 - 13th Annual Race This race is in memory of Matthew Rairdon, whose life was tragically taken in November 2013. When preparing to go to college, Matt was extremely appreciative to receive a scholarship to attend St. Joseph's College. The intent of this scholarship fund is to help other people who want to pursue a nursing education at St. Joseph's. The first scholarship was awarded in the fall of 2014, and now we award 2 scholarships annually. The Tri in July is a sprint triathlon benefitting the Richard Kane YMCA Scholarship program. Your challenge will begin with a 400m pool swim. Next, you'll hop on your bike for a scenic 12-mile ride. Finally, you'll complete a mostly shaded 5k run on our city's beautiful Pathfinder Parkway. Sandi Paws Rescue is back for a EIGHTH year with their 5K! All proceeds will go to our mission in saving abused and abandoned dogs and cats. Fond du Lac parks are now dog friendly, so make sure to bring your running partner! Register no later than 7/04/2026 to be guaranteed a t-shirt! The TWA Flight 800 Memorial 5k run and walk is held to honor and remember the 21 beautiful souls lost on July 17, 1996. Join us this year to honor the 30th Anniversary. The run is a flat 5k course through scenic Indian Park in Montoursville. The walk will start after the run so that runners can join the walkers 1.5 miles to the Memorial Gardens on Broad Street near the Montoursville High School. Proceeds from the run and walk will go to the TWA Flight 800 Memorial Garden Perpetual Care Fund. The TWA Flight 800 Memorial 5k run and walk is held to honor and remember the 21 beautiful souls lost on July 17, 1996. Join us this year to honor the 30th Anniversary. The run is a flat 5k course through scenic Indian Park in Montoursville. The walk will start after the run so that runners can join the walkers 1.5 miles to the Memorial Gardens on Broad Street near the Montoursville High School. Proceeds from the run and walk will go to the TWA Flight 800 Memorial Garden Perpetual Care Fund. The Splash Dash kicks off an all day Celebration for America 250 in Cressona.  The Splash Dash is a 2.50 mile FUN* run/walk that promises to be a fun event for all ages and abilities.  You will traverse through the streets of Cressona to support our beloved town pool that needs $1.2 million dollars in repairs and upgrades before we can re-open it.  Rally your friends and family and even your pets, and join folks of all ages and skill levels.  We do ask that the only wheels allowed on the course, for safety, are strollers or wagons, please. *Please note this is an un-timed event.  Participants are welcome to use self-timers, if interested.  We are trying to promote community spirit as we start our pool fundraising. Sign up for the 19th annual Dr. Bender 5K Classic! This year's race again has in-person and virtual options for participation. Those who wish to participate in person can do so on the morning of Saturday, July 18th, at Canal Winchester High School. Race morning will consist of our traditionally fast and competitive 5K race, as well as separate Girls and Boys 1 Mile Fun Runs (suggested for ages 12 & under). A virtual 5K event will also be available for those who are not able or choose not to participate in the in-person race. As always, proceeds from registration and sponsorships from this year's event will directly benefit the boys and girls cross country teams at Canal Winchester High School.

The Tom Schreiber Memorial 5K and 1 Mile celebrates Tom's lasting impact on the lives he touched. Tom served as the track and cross-country coach for over twenty years, first at Alliance High School (Alliance, OH) and then at Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights, Ohio. The proceeds from this event will be used to create a scholarship in Tom's name and be awarded to a senior track or cross-country runner from the Parma City School District. The 5K and 1-mile events will each be chip-timed. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to participate. You can register for both distances, and your times will be combined to determine rankings for the combo category. The 5K course will feature split points at every mile and live participant tracking via The Last Mile mobile APP.  The 1-mile course features a split at the half-mile mark. HOW REGISTRATION WORKS The event is comprised of 24, 1-hour games in a row and is open to men's and women's teams of all ages and abilities. Every team that registers plays in at least one, 1-hour game and will be matched with an opposing team of similar age and abilities If you register as a dual-slot, your team will have the entire hour with no opposing team schedule, and choose how you wish to play for that hour. Fast 4 mile race filled with history! Clarksville is home to the Johnson County Peach Festival. Starting in 1938. It is a nearly week long event (starts on a Tuesday and ends on Saturday) and attracts visitors from all over the country. Activities and events include Barbershop chorus, gospel music, good ol' home cookin, handmade arts and crafts, street dance, frog jumping contest, terrapin derby, greased pig chase, a 4-mile run, parade, jam and jelly bake-off and of course peach and peach cobbler eating contests.  Race History: The Johnson County Peach Fest 4 miler started in 1979.
