Sign up for the 19th annual Dr. Bender 5K Classic! This year's race again has in-person and virtual options for participation. Those who wish to participate in person can do so on the morning of Saturday, July 18th, at Canal Winchester High School. Race morning will consist of our traditionally fast and competitive 5K race, as well as separate Girls and Boys 1 Mile Fun Runs (suggested for ages 12 & under). A virtual 5K event will also be available for those who are not able or choose not to participate in the in-person race. As always, proceeds from registration and sponsorships from this year's event will directly benefit the boys and girls cross country teams at Canal Winchester High School.

Sandi Paws Rescue is back for a EIGHTH year with their 5K! All proceeds will go to our mission in saving abused and abandoned dogs and cats. Fond du Lac parks are now dog friendly, so make sure to bring your running partner! Register no later than 7/04/2026 to be guaranteed a t-shirt! Mountain bike riders, trail runners and wheelchair athletes will take on the technical dirt trails of Franke Park during the heat of the summer in the Hot Summer Singletrack. Mountain bike riders can take on the six hour challenge or settle for a more reasonable three hour ride on a seven-mile loop of the technical dirt trails of Franke Park.  Wheelchair athletes can choose to follow a challenging course of paved path and gravel road for either three or six hours. Our running event courses traverse the world-famous Copper River delta, a land of mountains, glaciers, and blue water rivers and lakes. For each distance event (except the One Mile), runners meet at race HQ and are driven on shuttle buses to the start line for their race.  The race courses are mostly flat (we're at sea level), and follow the old Copper River and Northwestern Railroad route which led to the Kennicott copper mines. We also offer a post-run Salmon BBQ lunch, get your tickets here! Lunch includes salmon, side dishes, dessert and door prizes. We'll announce race winners and distribute medals for the top three women and men finishers for each event here (at the Pioneer Igloo on First Street). Three 5K's + One Day = The Melt Down!  This challenging event is in it's 11th year.  Three consecutive 5K's at 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.  Do one, two or all three races!  You can decide that day!  Races must be done in order (so no fresh runners in race #2 or race #3). If participants are just doing one race it has to be the 8:00 a.m. race.  Races must be finished in 1 hour to allow for the start of the next race.  Course is on a beautiful wide, smooth, paved trail through two parks and crosses a historical bridge!  Indoor restrooms and a fun, free splash pad and playground for the kiddos located right next to the start/finish.   Everyone who finishes the first race races receives a custom MELT DOWN medal.  Fun HOT, summer themed t-shirts!  Awards for top three male/female and top 3 in age groups in the FIRST race only.  Also award for the top male and female best COMBINED times of all three races.

The Splash Dash kicks off an all day Celebration for America 250 in Cressona.  The Splash Dash is a 2.50 mile FUN* run/walk that promises to be a fun event for all ages and abilities.  You will traverse through the streets of Cressona to support our beloved town pool that needs $1.2 million dollars in repairs and upgrades before we can re-open it.  Rally your friends and family and even your pets, and join folks of all ages and skill levels.  We do ask that the only wheels allowed on the course, for safety, are strollers or wagons, please. *Please note this is an un-timed event.  Participants are welcome to use self-timers, if interested.  We are trying to promote community spirit as we start our pool fundraising. The Splash Dash kicks off an all day Celebration for America 250 in Cressona.  The Splash Dash is a 2.50 mile FUN* run/walk that promises to be a fun event for all ages and abilities.  You will traverse through the streets of Cressona to support our beloved town pool that needs $1.2 million dollars in repairs and upgrades before we can re-open it.  Rally your friends and family and even your pets, and join folks of all ages and skill levels.  We do ask that the only wheels allowed on the course, for safety, are strollers or wagons, please. *Please note this is an un-timed event.  Participants are welcome to use self-timers, if interested.  We are trying to promote community spirit as we start our pool fundraising. Experience what National Geographic calls "one of America’s most scenic drives" on PA Route 6 and make the Kinzua Half Marathon your race destination this summer.   Half Marathon Race Information  Experience this one-of-a-kind, destination half marathon in the Allegheny National Forest. All participants receive a performance shirt, commemorative finisher medal, personalized bib, and free race photos!   Water stations at will be available along the course.  Refreshments provided at the finish. The TWA Flight 800 Memorial 5k run and walk is held to honor and remember the 21 beautiful souls lost on July 17, 1996. Join us this year to honor the 30th Anniversary. The run is a flat 5k course through scenic Indian Park in Montoursville. The walk will start after the run so that runners can join the walkers 1.5 miles to the Memorial Gardens on Broad Street near the Montoursville High School. Proceeds from the run and walk will go to the TWA Flight 800 Memorial Garden Perpetual Care Fund. Online registration will close on Saturday, June 27.  Race day registration will be available starting at 7:30am.  Race day sign ups do not guarantee a race shirt and will end 30 minutes before the race start.  Race Day Schedule: 7:30am Registration9am 5k Race Start10:30am 1.5 Mile Walk A Virtual race option is available this year for $45.  The extra expense is to cover shipping cost of the race shirt.

We hope you will join us for our annual 5k Run/Walk event supporting the Olympia Bass Fishing Team! Our youth fishing team travels all over the state competing in tournaments in the Fall and Spring. We are dedicated to teaching our young anglers the joys of fishing and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
