The Women’s Distance Festival is more than just a race—it’s a celebration of strength, community, and the power of women supporting women. With every stride, every mile, and every finish line crossed, we are helping advance the vital work of the Center for Safety & Change, whose mission is to support, shelter, and provide services to victims and survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, and other crimes. This year’s theme, TOGETHER WE RISE, captures the true spirit of the Women’s Distance Festival. It reminds us that when we come together—lifting each other up, standing side by side, and moving forward as a community—we create real and lasting change. Start your race with camping the night before under the stars.  Traditional potluck dinner the night before with music, games and other shenanigans will take place before turning in.  A leisurely wake up time before starting the stellar trail race in the beautiful Mt Hood forest where you must FOLLOW THE ORANGE RIBBONS NOT THE PERSON IN FRONT OF YOU.  Be prepared to cross through streams, over streams, up steep terrain and down steep terrain while keeping an eye out where to go.  There is a lot of fun to be had and plenty to talk about when you return through the finish line.  Food will follow along with the beer garden.  This is one of the favorite XDog races that we are glad to welcome back.

Cardio Kidz is BACK this summer in Arlington Heights! Last summer we hit a record high number of 184 runners; help us grow past 200! Join us for a three (3) week running series for kids ages 2-14 of ALL ABILITIES. Each race takes place once a week on Sunday and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 100-yard dashes, 1/4-mile, 1/2-mile and 1-mile run. Kids can register to run UP in distance for a greater challenge. An Alternate 1/4-mile race is available for 2nd-8th graders who are looking for a shorter race. And that's OK! The 7th Annual RunFit Lavender Run will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026. Participants can choose from a variety of events, including a 10K, a 5K run, a walk, and a Kids K, ensuring there's something for everyone! ARE YOU READY TO CHASE THE SHARK? The race starts at 6:30 a.m. Check-in will begin at 5:30 a.m. in the park.  There is no separate packet pick up, so pick up your bib on race day.  Start: The Shark Chase will begin on the beach at Kailua Beach Park near the boat ramp. The start line is actually on the beach. Faster runners should move to the front and walkers towards the back to avoid collisions. Course: Out and back course.  The wave-washed course follows the shoreline to a turnaround point near the Kaneohe Marine Corps Base, then back to the start area.  The entire course is on the beach.  Shoes are optional - you will probably run through some shallow water depending on the tide and your desire to make a splash. Come out and better your 5k and brunch game with the Sunrise Social Club at the River Region Runners sponsored (R3) Wildcat Summer Cup in downtown MGM. Every second Sunday this summer at 7AM we’ll host a 5k at a unique location. Come for the race, stay for the BYOB potluck brunch. One payment of $20 buys you a bib for the entire series. Join us at Rocky Gap State Park in Flintstone, MD for the 22nd annual Rocky Gap Off-Road Triathlon, Duathlon, and Relay. The triathlon race course starts with a two lap swim in warm clear waters of a mountain lake and the duathlon starts with a 2.7 mile semi-technical trail run. After the first segment, all racers head out to complete two laps of a mountain bike course that includes twisty lakeside singletrack, wide fire roads, smooth grassy sections, and a few rock gardens. Once completing the mountain bike course, racers transition to a 5.5 mile run that has rooty trails, smooth open flats, and a few ups and downs (of course!). All in all, this course is super fun and has challenged thousands of newbies and seasoned vets over the years!

You will have it made in the shade at this fun event celebrating Summer, hosted by Wichita Running Company and Fartleks. Fartleks is Wichita's local running shop and smoothie stop. The 8th Annual Game On! Palm Beaches Triathlon will take place at beautiful Ocean Walk on Singer Island. Singer Island, an oceanfront neighborhood part of the City of Riviera Beach, offers a relaxing blend of natural beauty, seven miles of pristine beaches, and upscale hotels and resorts. This event will feature a Sprint Triathlon and a Sprint Duathlon with relay divisions. The quarter mile Atlantic Ocean swim (or 1 mile run) will be followed by a bike that will take you north, out and back on A1A, and then over the Blue Heron Bridge with views of Peanut Island and the Port of Palm Beach. The run also heads over the Blue Heron Bridge and through the historic Town of Palm Beach Shores, also known as the best little town in Florida. You will enjoy the lovely architecture in this quaint seaside neighborhood before heading back to the finish line at Ocean Walk.

The H-F Beast Obstacle Course Dash is a an opportunity to have fun and stay active together with friends or family! The Dash combines fun obstacles and quick dashes to keep you moving and energized. The course will be offered in two categories. Those ages 6-14 will complete 8 Obstacles and run a 1 mile run. Obstacles include a tire flip, balance beam, spear throw, stepping stones and more. Participants ages 15+ will compete in 16 Obstacles and a total of 2 miles. Obstacles will include bucket carry, spear throw, tire flip and more!  This outdoor Obstacle course will help you build confidence, strength, endurance, balance and so much more. Finisher medals and t-shirts will be awarded for completion of the course. Race runs in 5 minute waves. Be sure to check out The HF Beast Obstacle Prep Course offered in June at H-F Racquet & Fitness Club. Prep course is open to members and nonmembers of the Club. Come and enjoy the 'Run Like the Wind' races in Westport, WA, by entering a 5K run/walk, a 10K run or a Half Marathon run on the scenic Westport Light Trail and beyond.  Our courses are rolling and fairly flat.  All the races will start at the marina, go down and around the Fishermen's Memorial and then head for the paved trail around Half Moon Bay and through Westhaven State Park. A little farther down the trail, the 5K folks will turn around and head back to the starting point.  Those running the 10K will appreciate the ocean views as they continue south on the trail and then run around the Westport Lighthouse before returning to the marina. After running around the lighthouse, the Half Marathon participants will follow the signs to the beach where there will be 5.7 miles of running in the sand before returning to the marina. 4th Annual Glenoma Park 5K Run/Walk - In Memory of Darian Paige Atkinson   July 13, 2025 8:30am- Registration 9:00am- Race Time   Race starts at the scenic Glenoma Community Park, heads south-east across the road to the base of Dog Mountain. The course follows the base of Dog Mountain (if you look up you might spot a hang glider), then loops back through the Kosmos Wildlife Area ending where you began at the park.  Course footing is paved road and mostly dirt trail. 2026 Lane Purser Memorial Road Race Series Presented by the Memphis Runners Track Club Join us for the 44th annual Road Race Series!  The Road Race Series is: Two 5ks in July, Cancer Survivors Park Two 5 Milers in August, WJ Freeman Park Two 10ks in September, Shelby Farms Park  Two 10 Milers in October, Meeman Shelby Forest State Park Two Half Marathons, Martyrs Park Click HERE for specifics on race dates and locations.  All of the races take place on Sunday mornings with a start time of 7:00 AM with the exception of our 2nd Half Marathon (& Big River Crossing), which will be on a Saturday at 8:30 AM.

THE ENTIRE RACE IS HELD IN THE MONONGAHELA NATIONAL FOREST (UNDER SPECIAL USE PERMIT). THE RACE STARTS WITH A .5 MILE SWIM IN SUMMIT LAKE, FOLLOWED BY A 17.1 MILE BIKE RIDE OVER KENNISON MOUNTAIN (ELEVATION OF 3,988 FEET) TO THE CRANBERRY MOUNTAIN NATURE CENTER. THE RACE CONCLUDES WITH A 6.2 MILE RUN DOWN TO THE CRANBERRY GLADES AND BACK TO THE CRANBERRY MOUNTAIN NATURE CENTER TO THE FINISH LINE.
