We invite you to be a part of something bigger than yourself. Freedom Fighters are a community of people passionate about ending human exploitation through prevention, response, and recovery. By joining the Expedition RISE Maroon Bells , YOU are a part of making someone’s freedom story possible. Together, the Maroon Bells team will train for 5 months, the team collectively will fundraise $30,000*, and trek approximately 28 miles in 2 days. Supported by experienced team leadership, you will receive resources and encouragement through your personal training and fundraising experience. Freedom Fighters will trek through the Maroon Bells - Snow Mass Wilderness in Colorado in recognition of the ability we have to RISE and make a difference in human exploitation. The team will hike from Aspen to Crested Butte on July 20th 2026, and will hike back to Aspen on July 21, 2026. Each participant is expected to raise a minimum of $1,500.  Registration is partially refundable (50%) before March 15.

Alaska Salmon Runs

Our running event courses traverse the world-famous Copper River delta, a land of mountains, glaciers, and blue water rivers and lakes. For each distance event (except the One Mile), runners meet at race HQ and are driven on shuttle buses to the start line for their race.  The race courses are mostly flat (we're at sea level), and follow the old Copper River and Northwestern Railroad route which led to the Kennicott copper mines. We also offer a post-run Salmon BBQ lunch, get your tickets here! Lunch includes salmon, side dishes, dessert and door prizes. We'll announce race winners and distribute medals for the top three women and men finishers for each event here (at the Pioneer Igloo on First Street). The Melt Down - Three Consecutive 5Ks

Three 5K's + One Day = The Melt Down!  This challenging event is in it's 11th year.  Three consecutive 5K's at 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.  Do one, two or all three races!  You can decide that day!  Races must be done in order (so no fresh runners in race #2 or race #3). Welcome to Rome, NY and the scenic and lovely 720-acre Delta Lake State Park.  Produced by Wilson Endurance Sports in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation - Central Region.   Sprint & Olympic Triathlon and AquaBike Feeling really ambitious?  Do the Delta Double!   Race the Sprint and get back to the starting line in time to race the Olympic.   Start with a 750m swim followed by a moderate hilly 11 mile bike ride outside of the Park followed by a 5K run all within the grounds of the State Park with a finish right next to the lake. The Olympic participants will complete 2 loops of each course. Paratriathletes are welcome!  Relay Teams of 2 or 3 welcome for the Sprint and Olympic triathlon events only. Celebration of Life 5K Walk/Run 2026

Every year since 2020, during our organization's Celebration of Life Cancer Awareness Event weekend, we host a 5K walk that began in the midst of the pandemic. Its purpose is to remind everyone how important life is and to encourage regular exercise while promoting awareness of critical health issues such as cancer, sarcoidosis, diabetes, and now COVID-19. We come together to walk in the city of Melissa, Texas—where our organization is based—to raise awareness and show support within the community we serve. The walk will begin at Melissa Lake Park in Melissa, TX (please note, if the starting location changes, you will be notified in advance via email). Get ready, Gainesville, FL, for 4.3 mile OCR with 23+ obstacles and the monster 140-foot finishers rig set in Gainesville Fl, only 40 minutes from Jacksonville. Your abilities will be tested as you encounter the massive mud holes and 140-foot-plus finisher rig. SOME COW PATTIES in the fields, light swamps, muddy streams, rolling pine forests, and NEW and exciting obstacles for 2025.
