The 18th Annual Barnes Drug Store 5K Fun Run & Splash Dash will take place on July 18, 2026 at 200 South Patterson St. Valdosta, GA 31601.    All proceeds and donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000, and all funds raised and matched will benefit Sandy's House, a local organization that holds a 12 month residential faith based program. They are located in Valdosta, Georgia, and the program is set up for women ages 18 and older who are suffering from addiction. They opened their doors on March 21, 2022 and have served women broken from alcohol and drug addiction by providing housing, education, and spiritual training to enable women to rediscover who they are in Christ. Since 2009, Barnes Drug Store has raised and donated over $1 Million for our community through our annual 5k event. The Tri in July is a sprint triathlon benefitting the Richard Kane YMCA Scholarship program. Your challenge will begin with a 400m pool swim. Next, you'll hop on your bike for a scenic 12-mile ride. Finally, you'll complete a mostly shaded 5k run on our city's beautiful Pathfinder Parkway. Sign up for the 19th annual Dr. Bender 5K Classic! This year's race again has in-person and virtual options for participation. Those who wish to participate in person can do so on the morning of Saturday, July 18th, at Canal Winchester High School. Race morning will consist of our traditionally fast and competitive 5K race, as well as separate Girls and Boys 1 Mile Fun Runs (suggested for ages 12 & under). A virtual 5K event will also be available for those who are not able or choose not to participate in the in-person race. As always, proceeds from registration and sponsorships from this year's event will directly benefit the boys and girls cross country teams at Canal Winchester High School.

The Tom Schreiber Memorial 5K and 1 Mile celebrates Tom's lasting impact on the lives he touched. Tom served as the track and cross-country coach for over twenty years, first at Alliance High School (Alliance, OH) and then at Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights, Ohio. The proceeds from this event will be used to create a scholarship in Tom's name and be awarded to a senior track or cross-country runner from the Parma City School District. The 5K and 1-mile events will each be chip-timed. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to participate. You can register for both distances, and your times will be combined to determine rankings for the combo category. The 5K course will feature split points at every mile and live participant tracking via The Last Mile mobile APP.  The 1-mile course features a split at the half-mile mark. HOW REGISTRATION WORKS The event is comprised of 24, 1-hour games in a row and is open to men's and women's teams of all ages and abilities. Every team that registers plays in at least one, 1-hour game and will be matched with an opposing team of similar age and abilities If you register as a dual-slot, your team will have the entire hour with no opposing team schedule, and choose how you wish to play for that hour. Participate in one or all of the STRIDE run/walk events! Taking place in some of Salem’s most loved parks and held once a month on a Saturday morning, May-September. Strollers and dogs on a leash are welcome! Maps are emailed to participants after 5 p.m. on Friday, the night before the event. Bibs are available for pick up at/on the day of the event. For this event, bibs are available at the picnic shelter off parking lot 3. This course is in Minto-Brown Island Park on hard trail surfaces.

Sandi Paws Rescue is back for a EIGHTH year with their 5K! All proceeds will go to our mission in saving abused and abandoned dogs and cats. Features 2,838 feet of elevation gain through the beautiful foothills of the Bridger mountains.
