Join us for the 37th Annual Chetek Fishy Four! A four mile run/walk to benefit the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Scholarship Foundation and help celebrate Independence Day during Liberty Fest week in Chetek. It will be held at the Chetek City Beach. A kids' 1/2 mile race will also be held for children 10 years or younger on race day. All participants are made aware that the Fishy 4 Run/Walk will not be requiring social distancing or masks to be worn by participants or spectators.  We will be providing hand sanitizer in as many places as possible and encourage everyone to follow the CDC guidelines as much as possible.  All participants and spectators accept full responsibility for their health and safety with respect to COVID-19.  If you are not comfortable being in public without mandatory social distancing or masks, please take this into consideration before signing up.

“All Roads Lead to Wanderoos 5k Run/Walk”; Sponsored by the Wanderoos Area Community Club, Peer’s Bar and the UW Wanderoos Bar Grille. Funds raised will help support emergency needs of people in the Wanderoos area.  The 5k starts at 8:00am and will follow up with an award ceremony at about 9:00am.  This 5k is the kick off event for a full day of celebration complete with a live parade, a bean bag tournament, kids games and much more!  After the parade, enjoy a chicken dinner and other concessions, a street dance and one of the best fireworks displays around. Special thanks to our additional sponsors, our 5k is being timed by Tortoise and Hare Timing out of Minoqua, WI.  If we have over 100 runners the run will be chip timed. We are excited to invite you to the Lake Nebagamon Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual Dragin’ Tail 5-Mile Walk/Run, taking place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 8:00 AM, starting at the Lake Nebagamon Village Auditorium. This long-standing community tradition serves as an important fundraiser for our volunteer fire department. Our members dedicate countless hours and put themselves at risk responding to emergencies throughout Lake Nebagamon and the surrounding areas. Funds raised support the purchase of essential equipment such as personal protective gear, medical supplies, firefighting tools, and communication devices. Thanks to our most recent fundraiser, we were able to outfit a new one-ton truck fully, significantly improving our response capabilities. This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 to upgrade critical safety gear and purchase battery-powered extrication tools that enhance rescue efforts and firefighter safety.

This is a FREE 5k/10k length group run that will begin and end at the flagpole at 301 Parkway Dr in Trussville AL! Everyone is welcome to join in, and wear your patriotic attire as we celebrate Americas 250th! We will begin with a 5min devotional, a short prayer, and then we will all start together. There will be arrows on the course for you to follow. And there will be a water station. There will also be a clock set up, but there is no official timer for this event. *This is a FREE group walk jog run through the Trecho Walk Jog Run group at FBCTrussville. The most unique race in Southern Indiana! As underground temperatures year-round are 54 degrees, this will undoubtedly be the coolest July race around. The course will start at the Boys & Girls Club of Crawford County, on S 2nd street, proceeding down SR 64 passing Marengo Cave and through downtown Marengo. At the 1 mile point, participants enter the underground Marengo Warehouse, for a cave-like experience, doubling back to finish just across the railroad tracks in downtown Marengo. Features include the underground, rolling hills, and scenic small town Indiana charm. By far the coolest both in temperature and in novelty. The underground warehouse features several back and forth hairpin turns eventually leading down a corridor of offroad-like but smooth terrain. The entry point is shortly after the 1 mile interval where the indoor portion is right at 2 miles in total. Inside you will find good lighting, good temperature, and fast and flat terrain. A destination race that will offer major relief from the hot summer and a scene like none other.

Second ANNUAL Locke Lake-a-Thon This is a fun run/walk/ bike around Locke Lake organized by the Locke Lake Colony Association. Created as a fun way to get out and be active in the community. We planned the 4th of July weekend where we figured the most people would be around. The Event will start at the Lodge/Pool 1 at 43 Colony Dr. The half finish will be at North Barnstead Beach with parking located on Monroe dr, which is directly across from Varney rd. The half is about 2.5 Miles. The full will bring you all the way around Locke Lake back to 43 Colony dr and is about 4.5 Miles. The event will start at 9am sharp on July 3rd 2026. Beersheba Springs is perched on the bluffs of the South Cumberland Plateau and is surrounded by natural attractions of TN’s largest state park with waterfalls, scenic panoramas, walking trails and rock formations, including the Great Stone Door, our race’s namesake. For generations, many have come to Beersheba Springs for the beauty and unique community found here. Located in one of the poorest counties of Tennessee, many local residents can’t afford medical care. In 2010 the community established the Beersheba Springs Medical Clinic, a non-profit facility to provide medical services at no cost to an average of 1,000 patients per year from more than 17 counties. A dental clinic was added in June 2019 bringing much-needed services to the community. Donations and grants support the clinic. We just increased our operations from two days a week to FOUR days a week at the end of last year! Even with our expansion, we provide patient care and life-saving medication for each patient for just over $500 per year on average. We are proud to have an efficient and effective way of providing care through the support of our volunteer physicians and networks.

It's time for Paxton's annual 5K run! Now with electronic signup AND timing! Our race will benefit the Coins for Kids Masonic charity. The Leonide J. Lemire 4th of July Road Race in Southbridge is one of the longest running road races in the country!  The route takes a scenic course through Southbridge passing all monuments and memorials honoring our local veterans.   This race is the perfect way to start off your Independence Day.   The Local VFW Post 6055 created the 4.9 mile road race to honor Leonard J. Lemire, a Southbridge native who was killed at Pearl Harbor while serving on the battleship USS West Virginia.  He was the first Southbridge resident casualty of WWII.
