The Lumberjack World Championships began in 1960 as a way to acknowledge the rich history of the logging industry across the United States. The oldest and most prestigious competition in timber sports, the 65th annual Lumberjack World Championships will showcase over 21 events, with over 100 male and female athletes competing for prize money.  YO-HO!

The Lake T Sprint Series has been the first race for many Iron Distance Triathletes. In its 25th year, this race continues to be the stepping stone for so many triathletes to get to the next level. Racks are first come, first serve, waves are male/female, and there is a relay division as well.  The 600 yard lake swim is followed by a 2 loop bike course with rolling hills. The 5K run is a beautiful course around the lake which has a few small inclines and downhill the last mile. The Laurel Memorial Run/Walk - Celebrating people with Down syndrome & other developmental disabilities! The Laurel Memorial Run/Walk takes place the third weekend in July each year. The Gravel Unravel Experience Gravel Unravel is an endurance gravel bicycling series on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State This series is brought to you by a partnership between Peninsula Adventure Sports and La Vogue Cyclery  This event is designed for those who wish to challenge their physical abilities to the maximum while enjoying the lushness of Olympic National Forest. HOW REGISTRATION WORKS The event is comprised of 24, 1-hour games in a row and is open to men's and women's teams of all ages and abilities. Every team that registers plays in at least one, 1-hour game and will be matched with an opposing team of similar age and abilities If you register as a dual-slot, your team will have the entire hour with no opposing team schedule, and choose how you wish to play for that hour. All games will be played at St. Charles Preparatory Academy- Walt Plank Field

Compete with others on our unique course of asphalt and grass with moderate hills. Winner in each category (17 & under, 18-30, 31-49, 50-64, 65 +) will receive a medal and one dozen chocolate chip cookies. Check-in at bottom of large reservoir located at Chloe Greiner Village Park.

The Tom Schreiber Memorial 5K and 1 Mile celebrates Tom's lasting impact on the lives he touched. Tom served as the track and cross-country coach for over twenty years, first at Alliance High School (Alliance, OH) and then at Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights, Ohio. The proceeds from this event will be used to create a scholarship in Tom's name and be awarded to a senior track or cross-country runner from the Parma City School District. The 5K and 1-mile events will each be chip-timed. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to participate. You can register for both distances, and your times will be combined to determine rankings for the combo category. The 5K course will feature split points at every mile and live participant tracking via The Last Mile mobile APP.  The 1-mile course features a split at the half-mile mark. Sign up for the 19th annual Dr. Bender 5K Classic! This year's race again has in-person and virtual options for participation. Those who wish to participate in person can do so on the morning of Saturday, July 18th, at Canal Winchester High School. Race morning will consist of our traditionally fast and competitive 5K race, as well as separate Girls and Boys 1 Mile Fun Runs (suggested for ages 12 & under). A virtual 5K event will also be available for those who are not able or choose not to participate in the in-person race. As always, proceeds from registration and sponsorships from this year's event will directly benefit the boys and girls cross country teams at Canal Winchester High School.

The Tri in July is a sprint triathlon benefitting the Richard Kane YMCA Scholarship program. Your challenge will begin with a 400m pool swim. Next, you'll hop on your bike for a scenic 12-mile ride. Finally, you'll complete a mostly shaded 5k run on our city's beautiful Pathfinder Parkway. All finishers will receive a medal and a T-shirt so that you can let the world know that you are a triathlete!   **Our event will now include a KID'S DIVISION for ages 6 -13yrs!** Participants ages 6-9yrs 50m swim3 mile bike ride1 mile run Participants ages 10-13yrs will compete in a 100m swim3 mile bike ride1 mile run We would love to see your whole family on race day!

Participate in one or all of the STRIDE run/walk events! Taking place in some of Salem’s most loved parks and held once a month on a Saturday morning, May-September. Strollers and dogs on a leash are welcome! Maps are emailed to participants after 5 p.m. on Friday, the night before the event. Bibs are available for pick up at/on the day of the event. For this event, bibs are available at the picnic shelter off parking lot 3. This course is in Minto-Brown Island Park on hard trail surfaces.

Sandi Paws Rescue is back for a EIGHTH year with their 5K! All proceeds will go to our mission in saving abused and abandoned dogs and cats. Fond du Lac parks are now dog friendly, so make sure to bring your running partner! Register no later than 7/04/2026 to be guaranteed a t-shirt! There will be water dishes set up on the route for your fur friend. If you want to walk/run with a pup, we can have someone set you up with one. All runners and walkers' welcome.
