The Overbrook Community 5K Run & Walk will take place at the Overbrook Lake on Friday, July 4th starting at 8 a.m. *Park at the Overbrook baseball diamonds. The top three female runners and male runners in the 5K will receive medals and a prize. Race registration:  You can register in advance online at https://runsignup.com/runoverbrookks Race day registration will be available from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. for a $3 upcharge. Race day event T-shirts are available for an additional $12. The funds raised from this event will go to Community Christian School in Overbrook. It has been such a huge blessing for my family and many others to have something like this in the community.

What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk? The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11,2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11,2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! 5K  and ~1 mile fun run/walk! This family-friendly, dog-friendly event strives to raise money for Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation (NEICAC) and the Kids Lunch Club program. The race will begin at 8:00am and will start and end at Pulpit Rock Brewing Co. The 5K will be timed by True Time Racing Services. The 1 mile is not timed. The Waukee Freedom 5K is a community-wide 4th of July event. All races start and finish at Lutheran Church of Hope Waukee. This is the 43rd annual event and the only fundraiser for Troop 178. Programs within Scouting America emphasize learning, personal growth, respect, and—most importantly—service to others. Proceeds from this event help Scouts reach their Scouting goals and support their service to the people of Waukee and surrounding communities. Celebrate the 4th of July with the Firecracker 5K/10K at the Riverside Park in Bryson City, NC. The race is followed by the Freedom Festival. The Lakefest Mike Hill 10k began in 1976.  Mike Hill, HK Cooper, and Bill Magruder wanted a race included in the bicentennial celebration.  Mike encouraged businesses and people throughout the community to get involved in the race.  It was known as the Lakefest 10k until Mike's untimely passing in 2007.  The race was then changed to the Lakefest Mike Hill 10k.  Since then, a 5k has been added.

Mostly flat, certified 5K course through scenic Greendale.

The Firecracker 10K starts on Madison's hilltop with views of the Ohio River before running down Hanging Rock Hill.  You finish downtown for post-race entertainment and awards. 50 miles from Louisville, 70 miles from Indianapolis & Cincinnati.

The 5K this year will start and end at the American Legion in Cloverdale. Inviting everyone to be part of a community event that kicks off the day. The Independence Day celebration in Topeka, Indiana is a grand tradition.  Each year, the tiny town comes alive with a fireworks display, a parade, basketball and softball tournaments, food vendors, kids games and watermelon eating competition and much more!  But before the fireworks blast off or kids race to pick up candy at the parade, the day begins with the Road Run.  Begun in 1974 the road run is the oldest consecutively run race in the state.  This year's race, the 53rd annual, will take place on Saturday July 4th at the Topeka East Park located at 510 E Lake Street. The road run has two events for kids and adults.  We will kick things off at 8:15 a.m. with a One-Mile Fun Run for kids 13 and under.  It’s a great opportunity for kids to try something new and get active.  Medals will be awarded to the top three boys and girls.  At 8:30, the 5K race, open to all ages, will begin at the park and wind its way through the streets of Topeka.  Prizes will be awarded to the top three

Every Sole Counts is a newly created organization whose mission is to empower Athletes with Special Needs by providing access to high-qualityrunning gear that meets their individual needs. Easy, mostly flat asphalt course utilizing Batesville Parks paved trail system.  The race kicks off at Liberty Park, winds through The Plex and Bill Gillespie Soccer Park toward the YMCA, passes back by Liberty Park, continues through the scenic Brum Woods, and finishes right where it started at Liberty Park. This event supports LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a program that offers adults affected by cancer a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person. Grand Slam 5K – July 4, 2026 Location: Classic ParkStart Time: 8:30 AM Kick off your Independence Day in true all-American style at the Grand Slam 5K, a Fourth of July tradition that blends fast running with classic summer fun. The highlight of the course comes at the end, when runners sprint through the gates and cross the finish line inside Classic Park's field, greeted by applause, music, and classic 4th of July vibes. After the race, the celebration continues with hot dogs fresh off the grill and ice-cold beer, the perfect reward for a hard-earned finish. This is a 5.5K Run/Walk. It is an RDFI Chip timed Race that runs counterclockwise around Loon Lake for 3.4 miles with a few hills, a water stop half way and many scenic Lake views. The race proceeds/donations help our not for profit Association to keep Loon Lake beautiful and  "A fun, safe, and scenic lake community". Celebrate Independence Day by participating in the 49th annual L.L.Bean 4th of July 10K and 1-Mile Family Fun Run/Walk supporting the YMCA of Southern Maine Casco Bay Branch. Together, L.L.Bean and the YMCA are committed to building healthy, confident and secure communities for everyone to enjoy.

York Parks & Recreation and York Rotary are happy to announce the 2026 Annual Four on the 4th Road Race in York, Maine!  Registration opens on February 1st, 2026, at 8:00am and stays open until July 1st, 2026, at 11:59pm or until filled, whichever comes first. The race is limited to 1,000 participants so register early! Those who have registered by June 1st will be guaranteed a free race shirt. Beyond June 1st, shirts will be given upon availability. NO DAY OF REGISTRATION AVAILABLE! All registrations must be completed by July 1st at 11:59pm! Those participating in the race on July 4th will pick-up their bib and shirt that morning, at York High School between 6:30am-7:25am. The race begins at 7:30am sharp. The Stars and Stripes Event includes a 5K Run/Walk and a (free) Kids Fun Run. The course is paved and will take participants through the beautiful downtown of Rangeley, Maine. The scenic 5K route is challenging enough for serious runners, yet can be navigated by all age groups and athletic levels.  Leashed pets are welcome and the route is stroller friendly!  The race will start and finish with a beautiful view of the lake, at Rangeley Health and Wellness Pavilion on Dallas Hill Rd in Rangeley, Maine. All 5k registrants will receive a Stars & Stripes T-shirt if registered before June 10, 2026. T-shirts are not included with Family Fun Run registrations but kids will receive a festive goody bag and an ice cream cone from the Frosty or The Farmers Daughter. Awards for first adult female and male 5K finishers will be presented, as well as first place girl and boy under 18. The 5K Run/Walk starts at 8:30am and is hosted by the West Mansfield Conservation Club. The 5K kicks off a fun-filled Independence Day celebration. Start your July 4th with us for a morning run/walk. The Firecracker 5000 starts and finishes at the West Mansfield Conservation Club. After the race enjoy a day full of festival activities for all ages and wraps up at dark with a fantastic fireworks show. $5.00 discount for youth participants ages 18 and under. Registration fee includes a race shirt, real-time race results with chip timing. Packet pick-up available on RACE DAY only, starting at 7:00am.

This noncompetitive 5K Run/Walk is the only race that uses the entire length of Mandan’s historic Main Street—offering a truly unique course and experience.
