The Firecracker 4 Mile and Kids Races are La Crosse's only 4th of July races. The races are centered around Riverside Park in La Crosse, WI.

The CARE 5k/10K walk run began in 2009 and has become a yearly favorite since.  This is our 16th year! The CARE 5K Walk or Run and 10K Run are an out and back race that is mostly road for the 5K and the 10K has a mix of road and trail.  The race begins at 8:00 and finishes around 9:30.  Awards are given to winners in ages groups in 10 year increments which are CARE dollars from our $300 level sponsors and will happen at 9:15 am.  All participants will be timed!  Race shirts are included and come in unisex and youth sizes, guaranteed sizes if you register before June 20th.  Adult registration is $35 and children 17 and under is $25.  Water will be on the course and at the finish line with post race snacks. New this year, all participants will recieve a filled water bottle at the end of the race.

Start your 4th of July with a bang by running the 48th edition of the Firecracker Four! A tradition for many to start the holiday with a 4 mile run OR a 1.4 mile walk through the neighborhoods of Hales Corners. The 49th annual Pow Wow Days 5K, 10K, 1 Mile Fun Runs take place in conjunction with the annual 4th of July Lion's Day Festivities in Tomahawk. All races depart from Veterans Memorial Park on the beautiful Wisconsin River. Click HERE for a Google Earth Map of all race routes and details.  The 10K is run on a scenic route along the river towards the turn around point atop beautiful Kings Hill just past the historic Kings Dam. The 5K looped course is basically flat and follows the 10K route for approximately 2400 meters then cuts across the edge of the Tomahawk High School property and back to School Road before running into Somo Ave then back to Memorial Park on 6th St. The Mile Fun Run is also a looped course for all ages, however awards are only for those 12 and under. 5K/10K races start at 8:30 AM sharp and the Mile Fun Run begins around 9:30 AM, after the majority of the 5K participants have finished.  Pre-registrant bib and t-shirt pick-up for all races starts at 7:00 AM under

The Leonide J. Lemire 4th of July Road Race in Southbridge is one of the longest running road races in the country!  The route takes a scenic course through Southbridge passing all monuments and memorials honoring our local veterans.   This race is the perfect way to start off your Independence Day.   The Local VFW Post 6055 created the 4.9 mile road race to honor Leonard J. Lemire, a Southbridge native who was killed at Pearl Harbor while serving on the battleship USS West Virginia.  He was the first Southbridge resident casualty of WWII. Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or just looking for a fun, healthy way to start your Independence Day, this event is for you! Stick around after the race to enjoy the Edmonds 4th of July Parade and keep the celebration going. We are changing it up a bit this year and while there is still a chance to beat Ol’ Man Brackett, the focus is more on the parade and community fun. We are excited to invite you to the Lake Nebagamon Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual Dragin’ Tail 5-Mile Walk/Run, taking place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 8:00 AM, starting at the Lake Nebagamon Village Auditorium. This long-standing community tradition serves as an important fundraiser for our volunteer fire department. Our members dedicate countless hours and put themselves at risk responding to emergencies throughout Lake Nebagamon and the surrounding areas. Funds raised support the purchase of essential equipment such as personal protective gear, medical supplies, firefighting tools, and communication devices. Thanks to our most recent fundraiser, we were able to outfit a new one-ton truck fully, significantly improving our response capabilities. This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 to upgrade critical safety gear and purchase battery-powered extrication tools that enhance rescue efforts and firefighter safety.

2026 marks the 1st ever 5k run in Granite Falls Washington!  Celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the USA.  The run will circle around the history of Granite Falls.   Once runners have completed the course, there is an awards ceremony with several raffle awards. Participants, family and friends can then enjoy festive activities that are held all around the main street including food, music, vendor booths, activities and more. The Historic Hartwell 5K will start at Hart County High School (Herndon Stadium) and showcase some of the City of Hartwell throughout the course. Runners will make their way back to Herndon Stadium to finish the race.  Race proceeds will go toward providing an Apple iPad to two graduating seniors in the class of 2027 from Hart County High School.

The 2025 Lake Burton Fun Run will take place on July 5th (Saturday of the fireworks)!   The gun goes off at 9AM sharp at Moccasin Creek State Park, so please give yourself ample time to park at Laprade's Marina and grab a shuttle (hay ride) to the starting line. The historic Town of Bath (Berkeley Springs), WV 250 years birthday celebration 5K Race will be on Saturday, July 4, 2026, starting at 9:00am.  The race will begin at the north end of town at the Train Depot.  The course will wind its way through the town, including through Berkeley Springs State Park--America's First Spa.  Runners will finish the 3.10 mile journey at the same Train Depot.

After a successful revitalization last year, the Runner Stumbles is back again! The 42nd Runner Stumbles will be held at Suncadia Resort based out of Nelson Farm. The 5K run/walk and 10K run will be on paved pathways and single-track trails in a forested setting. There will be free kids races! Welcome to the Augusta Bean and Bacon Days Run For The Bacon 5k 2025! This event will be a fun run/walk (not a timed event). T-shirt giveaway ends June 14th.  Start and Finish line will take place at the Augusta Memorial Field.(Field is located at the intersection of Colfax and South Spring Street) Registration/packet pick up starts at 7:30am, July 5th and race start time will be at 8:30am sharp. The swim takes place in Waynewood's 25 meter pool. The Waynewood bike course is the least complicated with a one way bike loop repeated the appropriate number of times for each age group. With a few small inclines building up to a nice decent to transition or the start of another loop. The run is fast and flat.

Starting at the brewing facility for Territorial Brewing Company, participants will run to and through the grounds of the Field of Flight and experience air crafts and more while getting an up-close view of the festival grounds as they are running by. Runners will then continue on the beautiful streets and boulevards of Battle Creek for a fairly flat, scenic course. Arrive 10 minutes early for pre-race meeting.  Description: The Green Lake Road Race is a 12 mile run that can be completed individually, as a 2-person relay or as a 4-person relay.  Only the 12 mile run with be scored in the series. Race start time is 7am. The start location will be between Mel’s Sport Shop and the fishing access.  Plan to be at the starting line ten minutes ahead of your start time for the pre-race meeting. You should have your bib number attached on the front of your shirt just above the waist to get the best read-rate.  Bibs located anywhere else will have a lower read-rate. Bib numbers need to be visible when you cross the finish line. Number pick-up will be day of the race beginning at 8am.  T-shirts will be distributed on race day to all registered runners.   Online registration ($45) will be open until midnight on July 1st.
