The Freedom Run is a premiere event at Morgan Hill’s annual Freedom Fest, one of the few all-day Independence Day celebrations in the Bay Area. Start your 4th of July celebration with a morning race that will take you through Morgan Hill’s historic, tree-lined downtown. Then stay for the award-winning parade, the largest privately organized parade in Northern California and the official 4th of July Parade of Santa Clara County.    The Freedom Fest’s annual events also include the Patriotic Sing, Family Street Dance, Freedom Car Cruise and Show, and the spectacular fireworks and entertainment show, Fireworks on the Green. This community-oriented event is a fun and healthy way to kick off the 4th of July before your festivities with family and friends.  The 2 Mile, 5K, and 10K races are timed events that travel primarily along the paved paths of the Lake Natoma bike trails and overlook the American River. The Kids Fun Run is a 1/4 Mile non-competitive race for ages 10 and younger. Finishers of all races will receive a  medal upon completion.  Overall and age group awards are presented in all three timed races. Celebrate Independence Day at the Fresno Freedom Run this July 4th as we mark the 250th anniversary of our nation! Start your holiday with a memorable run or walk along an American flag–lined course, surrounded by community spirit and patriotic pride. The event features a 4-mile run/walk, a 2-mile run/walk, and a fun Kids Run to kick off the morning’s festivities, making it the perfect way for runners, walkers, and families of all ages to participate. Participants will receive a participant shirt, chip timing, post-race snacks, and a newly designed commemorative finisher medal (design coming in April). Most importantly, your participation helps support Central Valley Honor Flight, an organization dedicated to honoring local World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans by sending them to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor. Welcome to the 1st annual Liberty High School Band 5k.  The Liberty High School Band is excited to host this event as it will directly benefit the marching band, jazz band, concert programs, winter percussion and winter guard programs. HAVE FUN, BE FIT, HELP YOUTH! From July 4th through Labor Day, participants will log the amount of time each selected activity is performed, from a large list of activities available, via a Submit Activity web page -- biking, walking, running, tennis, swimming, and more.   The goals are to enhance physical fitness, build community spirit, have fun, and support the youth of Coronado.  Hours-per-week targets are:  Bronze: 1 hr; Silver: 2 hr; Gold: 3 hr; Diamond: 4 hr.   An awards celebration will be held the Saturday morning after Labor Day, 9AM at Spreckels Park. July 4- The 48th annual Four-on the-Fourth road race sponsored by the Chester Rotary Club will start at 9 AM Friday July 4 Runners can register with RunSignup.com from March 1. The Adult fees are $35 through May 26; $40 from May 27 through race day. Flat fee for Children age 16 and under is $15. The race loops through the village of Chester and is USATF sanctioned. Timing will be provided by Super Race Systems. Team and individual awards will be presented. The race is a major fund raiser for the Chester Rotary. The Burro Buster 5k is a fun, family friendly, 5k in one of America's highest incorporated towns. Join us in Fairplay on the 4th of July on our run through town! The course lies inside of the town limits and starts and finishes in front of the historic Hand Hotel & Emporium. Your terrain will include asphalt, dirt, rocks, stairs, and some hills. You will also enjoy great views, a river, historic buildings, lack of oxygen (9,953' above sea level!) and fun! There will be NO water station on course. The LL5K, hosted by Sweetheart City Racing is scheduled to begin at Grimm Brothers Brewhouse on July 4th at 8:00 am. We welcome runners and walkers, and all abilities! We are proud to support Health4Heroes with the 2024 Loveland Liberty 5K. Please check out their website using the link below. There is a cash purse for the top three males and females in the overall and masters divisions. The Elite corral/wave will start at 8:45m. If you can run a 5K under 24 min for men, under 26 min for women, sign up and run with the Elites.  Each participant 21 and over can receive a BOGO beer from Grimm Brothers Brewhouse. Finish line food will be breakfast burritos from El Cielo. Make sure you have your ID if you want an alcoholic beverage. If you registered after the guaranteed shirt deadline, we will have any leftover shirts and past race shirts available AFTER the race. Welcome to the 44th annual July 4th Fun Run, Palmer Lake Elementary's largest fundraiser, and fastest race. This year's Independence Day is sure to go out with a bang!  We're continuing our newest tradition of both in-person and virtual race registration for our friends and neighbors who choose to celebrate from afar. The course runs from the south end of Palmer Lake to Monument via the Santa Fe Trail. Run, jog, walk, skip, or parade along the trail while enjoying beautiful views of the front range, encouraging signs and an all around good time. Did we mention the route is a slight downhill, too?!? Each registration fee goes toward supporting education in Palmer Lake.

The Downtown Mile is presented by Team Run Flagstaff.  In advance of the annual 4th of July parade, 6 waves of competitors will cover an iconic Mile on the actual parade route. The two-loop course heads north San Francisco, west on Cherry, south on Beaver, and west on Aspen to repeat the loop and finish.  The race includes six Mile events categories: Masters Women and Masters Men (40+), Citizen Men and Women (all ages), Elite Men and Women (competing for a cash purse) and the half-mile (one loop) highlight- the Kids Race. In addition to the Elite prizes, Awards will be presented for Overall and Age Group top finishers in each category.

Welcome to the 45th Annual Peavine Falls Run. This iconic event is a 4th of July tradition in Central Alabama. NEA has been missing a 4th of July race for years now.   In this country we have Freedom, we have freedom to Run and we have the freedom to run a July 4th race and finish with pride.  We will be hosting the Freedom Finishers 5K at Paragould's Rotary Park on July 4th starting at 7:30AM.  The course will be an out and back on the 8 mile ditch trail.  Entry fee is $30 for non-military members 16 and older. Those not old enough to drive yet are discounted to $15. Service members (Military, Police, and Fire) can use coupon code "Military" to get $10 off the entry fee. Please have your military ID available at check-in on race morning to receive your bib. T-shirt cutoff is 6/22 so please register early to insure you get one. Extras are first come, first serve until we run out. Come out and enjoy the run and create a new tradition. Runners, Walkers, Strollers and 4-legged friends are all welcome to participate.

For more than 50 years, the Arnold Mills 4M Road Race has been a staple event in Cumberland, RI. Held every Fourth of July holiday, the popular four-mile race draws an average of 500 participants each and every year to the starting line, including some top talent from throughout the state and often from beyond the borders. The race, which is run on a moderately-challenging course in a rural community, takes part in conjunction with the town's annual parade. The ever popular and patriotic Red White and Blue Shoes 5K on the campus of Furman University on July 4th. This fast race course is USATF certified. The start line is in the parking lot adjacent to the north stands at Paladin stadium. The route circles the mall and loops around the Duke Library at the center of campus. The course then goes across the dam at Swan Lake and takes the paved path around the lake, using the new footbridge at the north end of the lake. The route passes the Amphitheater, goes left on Bell Tower Road to Roe Ford Road, then goes right on Roe Ford Road back to the mall. After coming down the mall road, the course rounds the circle in front of the PAC and goes down the driveway to the North Stands. Runners enter at the back gate of the stadium and finish in a blaze of glory at the 50-yard line at Paladin Stadium. 5K will participants receive a high quality Runners Cap.
