Join us for a 5k Fun Run/Walk that shows off the Recreation trail in and around George, IA.  The start and finish are located in beautiful Locker Park.  Proceeds go to the improvement and maintenance of the trail system. Majority of route is on the city trail with only the first half mile on city streets. The run is on a mostly flat course with a few minor hills. Enjoy the scenery as you run on the trail through residential housing, campground, wooded area, and fields.  For those that do not want to run, we do offer a 1.25 mile (Approximate length) untimed leisurely walk. This event will start with those participating in the 5K, but will veer off and participants will then walk the north portion of the George Recreational Trail and finish at the 5k finish line. This event is for those who don't want to run/walk the entire 5K but still want to enjoy the Freedom Day Fun Run/Walk. The Iron Horse 4 miler will raise funds to be donated to the ALS Ride for Life for their patient services at the Stony Brook Neuromuscular Disease and Christopher Pendergast ALS Center of Excellence. A program that provides best-in-class care with a collaborative approach to ensure quality of life for those living with ALS and their families. Currently there is no cure and is always 100% fatal. A note from the race director:My family has had multi-generational familial diagnosis of the fatal disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Familial ALS accounts for 5 to 10 percent of all ALS cases. This race is honor of my mom, Sally and all those living with ALS and their families.

Welcome to the first Red, White & Blue Race! This event benefits Code 3 Mind Health, Inc.  We are a local non-profit that provides mental health wellness checks for first responders.   This course is along the scenic coastal trail in Fort Bragg California.  The event begins at the south coastal trail (Noyo Headlands Park) and continues north with the 5k turnaround being near the compass rose.  If you participate in the 10k run, you will continue north past historic Glass Beach, and across the Pudding Creek Trestle onto the historic Mackerricher Haul Road with the turn around being near the "silver gate" entrance.  For the half-marathon participants, the course continues along the Haul Road, through Mackerricher State Park and turning around just before the entrance to Ten Mile State Preserve.  This course is ocean front, with epic views every step of the way!  For those of you that have participated in races in this area before, it will look very much like the Whale Run cou

The Annual Laguna Niguel Family YMCA Run in the Parks is back in person! We are excited to celebrate the 47th year of bringing this annual community and family tradition to celebrate Independence Day. This year we are offering two options, a 5k and a Kids Run. Every race entry fee directly benefits the YMCA scholarship fund. This fund supports those most in need in our community. Over the last few years, we have all struggled with the impacts of the pandemic, some more than others. From July 4th through Labor Day, participants will log the amount of time each selected activity is performed, from a large list of activities available, via a Submit Activity web page -- biking, walking, running, tennis, swimming, and more.   The goals are to enhance physical fitness, build community spirit, have fun, and support the youth of Coronado.  Hours-per-week targets are:  Bronze: 1 hr; Silver: 2 hr; Gold: 3 hr; Diamond: 4 hr.   An awards celebration will be held the Saturday morning after Labor Day, 9AM at Spreckels Park. July 4- The 48th annual Four-on the-Fourth road race sponsored by the Chester Rotary Club will start at 9 AM Friday July 4 Runners can register with RunSignup.com from March 1. The Adult fees are $35 through May 26; $40 from May 27 through race day. Flat fee for Children age 16 and under is $15. The race loops through the village of Chester and is USATF sanctioned. Timing will be provided by Super Race Systems. Team and individual awards will be presented. The race is a major fund raiser for the Chester Rotary. The Burro Buster 5k is a fun, family friendly, 5k in one of America's highest incorporated towns. Join us in Fairplay on the 4th of July on our run through town! The course lies inside of the town limits and starts and finishes in front of the historic Hand Hotel & Emporium. Your terrain will include asphalt, dirt, rocks, stairs, and some hills. You will also enjoy great views, a river, historic buildings, lack of oxygen (9,953' above sea level!) and fun! There will be NO water station on course. Water will be available at the beginning and end of the race. This event benefits the Town of Fairplay Scholarship Fund.

The LL5K, hosted by Sweetheart City Racing is scheduled to begin at Grimm Brothers Brewhouse on July 4th at 8:00 am. We welcome runners and walkers, and all abilities! We are proud to support Health4Heroes with the 2024 Loveland Liberty 5K. Please check out their website using the link below. There is a cash purse for the top three males and females in the overall and masters divisions. The Elite corral/wave will start at 8:45m. If you can run a 5K under 24 min for men, under 26 min for women, sign up and run with the Elites.  Each participant 21 and over can receive a BOGO beer from Grimm Brothers Brewhouse. Finish line food will be breakfast burritos from El Cielo. Make sure you have your ID if you want an alcoholic beverage. If you registered after the guaranteed shirt deadline, we will have any leftover shirts and past race shirts available AFTER the race. Volunteers will instruct you on how to get your shirt at packet pickup.

Kick off your Independence Day weekend at the patriotic Carmel Freedom Run 4.5-mile and 1.5-miler! Raceday is Friday, July 4th in the beautiful city of Carmel, IN! NEW FOR 2025, we are excited to host the event at Upland Brewing and Pies & Pints in Clay Terrace! Join the fun with your friends and family at this classic run/walk, then enjoy some post-race refreshments! Welcome to the 44th annual July 4th Fun Run, Palmer Lake Elementary's largest fundraiser, and fastest race. This year's Independence Day is sure to go out with a bang!  We're continuing our newest tradition of both in-person and virtual race registration for our friends and neighbors who choose to celebrate from afar. The course runs from the south end of Palmer Lake to Monument via the Santa Fe Trail. Run, jog, walk, skip, or parade along the trail while enjoying beautiful views of the front range, encouraging signs and an all around good time. Did we mention the route is a slight downhill, too?!? Each registration fee goes toward supporting education in Palmer Lake.

Dress up as your favorite American Hero! This could be your mom, dad, Albert Einstein, Batman, Superman, or the Powerpuff girls! The Downtown Mile is presented by Team Run Flagstaff.  In advance of the annual 4th of July parade, 6 waves of competitors will cover an iconic Mile on the actual parade route. The two-loop course heads north San Francisco, west on Cherry, south on Beaver, and west on Aspen to repeat the loop and finish.  The race includes six Mile events categories: Masters Women and Masters Men (40+), Citizen Men and Women (all ages), Elite Men and Women (competing for a cash purse) and the half-mile (one loop) highlight- the Kids Race. In addition to the Elite prizes, Awards will be presented for Overall and Age Group top finishers in each category.

Welcome to the 45th Annual Peavine Falls Run. This iconic event is a 4th of July tradition in Central Alabama. Why go to Atlanta and run (walk) with 60,000 people when you can visit the beautiful Oak Mountain State Park, run with a few hundred of your closest friends, enjoy a great race on a fun course, and have a great time all the way around!   ShirtsParticipants receive a gender-neutral shirt designed especially for this race.
