2026 is the 21st Annual run of the Idaho Falls FireKracker 5k, AND it is happing on the 250th Anniversary of America's Independence! We hope this year is our biggest and most special yet!  Profits from this event are donated to the Idaho Falls Military Affairs Committee.

The Buhl Fun Run, also known as the Sagebrush Days Run and Walk, will be held Independence Day, July 4 at 8 AM in Buhl. The race starts and ends at the Furniture Room parking lot located at 1104 Main Street. Registration begins at 7AM for the 10K run, 5K run and 5K walk. Awards are given to the top three males and females, the male and female in each age group and the overall winners.

Celebrate the 4th of July by running, run/walking, or walking the Firecracker 5K! It is a double loop course through Lake Park. The 6th Annual Bill Bone 5K is an Evening Race on July 4th starting at 7:00pm. The Race raises money for the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund and is known as a “Run to the Fun” because it finishes in Downtown West Palm Beach as part of the 4th on Flagler Celebration festivities.   After the race, runners and friends are in the best spot to stay and participate in the 4th on Flagler Celebration by taking advantage of our "All You Can Eat" refreshments, which include hot dogs, watermelon, chips, cookies, and lemonade until 8:30pm.There is also free entertainment culminating with an epic display of fireworks and music over the Intracoastal Waterway starting at 9:09pm. The 40th annual FREEDOM SPRINGS TRIATHLON  will be held at the beautiful Blue Springs Recreation Park, 5461 Blue Springs Road in Marianna, Florida on July 4th, 2026.   This is a sprint triathlon: 400 meter swim, 10 mile bike, and 5K run. This race is great for first-time triathletes, beginners and 'all-kinds-of-bikes" riders.  SWIM (0.25 mile/ 400 meters) takes place in spring water (68F, wetsuits are allowed). BIKE (10 miles) is a fast, fun, out and back ride. RUN (5K = 3.1mile) starts on a road and leads onto a fun, clay road.   The race sells out and registration may close earlier than expected. The Thousand Island Park 5K, or TIP5K, is a memorial footrace to honor the memory of General TJ "Demon" Costello, who served as a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force. This race started at a family reunion in 2013 and has grown to include the local community of TI Park. It's a small, family-oriented race that welcomes all levels of participation. Walkers and strollers are welcomed! Although, be advised that the course covers dirt roads, grassy lawns, and one trail. Also, the route will be poorly marked, open to traffic, and the timing crew will consist of a couple of teenagers with an iPhone. No timing chips here! So, your official time will likely be wrong, if it's recorded at all. However, I can guarantee a great scenic run, good times and camaraderie, and maybe a cold drink or two at the finish line.

The 6th Clifton Park Freedom Mile is on July 4th at 11:30 AM prior to the Clifton Park 4th of July Parade. Route is from the Shen campus entrance on 146, left on Vischer Ferry Road and a quick left into the Clifton Park Common for the finish. Course map is below.
