Celebrating 52 Years in 2026 This year's race will be on Saturday, July 4th. Our goal is to have another awesome event like we always do in beautiful downtown Harbor Springs on the morning of the 4th. All registered runners will get a great dry-fit shirt and can pick up on July 3rd from 4:00-5:30pm or the morning of the 4th at the Harbor Police Station.  Please do NOT arrive early or disturb the Police Station employees. Beta Sigma Phi (Alpha Beta chapter) is excited to host the annual 5K and Kids 1-Mile Fun Run in connection with the upcoming 4th of July festivities!  This race is an unchipped event. $25 per adult. $20 per child 12 and under.  Registration for the race includes a t-shirt if registered before June 10th.   T-shirt and bib pick up date at the AYC is July 2nd from 5-8pm, or shirts can be picked up the morning of July 4 at the race.   Morning of July 4 - 6:45 am - Registration begins7:30 am - Kids 1-mile Fun Run.  9 & under age group first, 10-12 age group next and 5K will immediately follow the Kids 1-mile Fun Run Last year, over $12,000 was donated to local families in need, as well as charities such as Cornerstones of Care, Pets for Life, Bikers Against Child Abuse, and KyMel (a camp for children fighting cancer.)  These donations were made possible through race entries, t-shirt sales, sponsorships, and donations.

Celebrate America's 250th Birthday and get your July 4th holiday moving with the Rotary Club of Westerville’s Independence Day 5K at 8 AM Saturday, July 4! As it has since 2021, the 5K will take place at the Westerville Sports Complex, 325 N. The race runs throughout the campus, the Thornapple Trail, Lakeside Park, and finally heads back to the high school. Gene Bednarowski Memorial Run

The Gene Bednarowski Memorial Run has traditionally been run on the 4th of July weekend, and this year is no exception to that rule. We are actually running on July 4th this year.   The event is in memory of Gene Bednarowski, a former Watervliet mentor, teacher, and coach. Proceeds support the Watervliet Track and Field Program. At one time in the history of this event, there was also a 10K race and we are hoping to bring that back this year as well, providing we can get the approval from the State of Michigan.  If the approval comes through, the race will be run through neighborhood streets, along the scenic Paw Paw Lake and through the city of Watervliet.   We are also happy to be partnering with the Fruitbelt Run Series again.  This race can now count towards the completion of Fruitbelt series, which allows competitors to run a series of 5 races which will result in a series medal.  This year's prize is a special medal commemorating the 20th year. York Parks & Recreation and York Rotary are happy to announce the 2026 Annual Four on the 4th Road Race in York, Maine!  Registration opens on February 1st, 2026, at 8:00am and stays open until July 1st, 2026, at 11:59pm or until filled, whichever comes first. The race is limited to 1,000 participants so register early! Those who have registered by June 1st will be guaranteed a free race shirt. Beyond June 1st, shirts will be given upon availability. NO DAY OF REGISTRATION AVAILABLE! All registrations must be completed by July 1st at 11:59pm! Those participating in the race on July 4th will pick-up their bib and shirt that morning, at York High School between 6:30am-7:25am. The race begins at 7:30am sharp. Stars & Stripes 5K Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run

The Stars and Stripes Event includes a 5K Run/Walk and a (free) Kids Fun Run. The course is paved and will take participants through the beautiful downtown of Rangeley, Maine. The scenic 5K route is challenging enough for serious runners, yet can be navigated by all age groups and athletic levels.  Leashed pets are welcome and the route is stroller friendly!  The race will start and finish with a beautiful view of the lake, at Rangeley Health and Wellness Pavilion on Dallas Hill Rd in Rangeley, Maine. All 5k registrants will receive a Stars & Stripes T-shirt if registered before June 10, 2026. T-shirts are not included with Family Fun Run registrations but kids will receive a festive goody bag and an ice cream cone from the Frosty or The Farmers Daughter. Age-Handicapped 4-Miler

Age-Handicapped 4-Miler is an annual race held every July 4th to celebrate Independence Day and the club's founding. Unlike a standard race, it features a staggered start based on age and gender, aiming to have all participants finish closer together. The Goal: The "winner" is the first person to physically cross the finish line, regardless of their net running time. The Fenton Firecracker is an annual tradition just prior to the Fenton 4TH of July Parade.  Come join us for fun and fitness, then stay for the parade! The 13th annual Fenton Firecracker 5K and 2.5K is back!  This is a great race for athletes and weekend warriors alike on July 4th.  The race begins at 9:45 am so be sure to be in place with your bib on by 9:30 am. Race starts at the Ellen Street Campus (World of Wonder) which is also the finish line! Packet pick up will be at Freedom Center Church, 2473 W. Tofte Trek Wilderness Race

The 10K Tofte Trek starts at Birch Grove Community Center in Tofte and winds its way up the hill towards the Superior Hiking Trail, then comes back down through lots of mud on the snowmobile trail. Runners are proud to wear their muddy badge of courage as they finish. Must be at least 11 years old to run the Tofte Trek. Overall and age-group awards. Davis Lake Triathlon will be held on the 4th of July.  This triathlon is Kayak, Bike, Run.  There are two race categories.  The Minnow Race=Kayak 1/4 mile, Bike 2 miles, and Run 1 Mile The Shark Race=Kayak 1/2 mile, Bike 8 miles, and Run 2.5 Miles Both events can be completed by either a single individual or a 2-3 person team.
