Join VARRA on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 7:30 AM at Riverside Park for a fun 5k! This year, the Sparkler Kids 1 Mile run will begin at 8:15 AM to allow for kiddos to participate in the fun as well! For $30, you can participate in this firecrackin' good time of a race! Prices increase to $35 on Monday, June 1 and will go up to $40 on race day. Registration will end at 7:15 AM race morning. Paid VARRA members will receive a 20% discount, which is automatically applied at checkout. The Thousand Island Park 5K, or TIP5K, is a memorial footrace to honor the memory of General TJ "Demon" Costello, who served as a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force. This race started at a family reunion in 2013 and has grown to include the local community of TI Park. It's a small, family-oriented race that welcomes all levels of participation. Walkers and strollers are welcomed! Although, be advised that the course covers dirt roads, grassy lawns, and one trail. Also, the route will be poorly marked, open to traffic, and the timing crew will consist of a couple of teenagers with an iPhone. No timing chips here! So, your official time will likely be wrong, if it's recorded at all. However, I can guarantee a great scenic run, good times and camaraderie, and maybe a cold drink or two at the finish line.

What better way to celebrate our nations birthday than with a run! Picture it: running down the street on the morning of July 4th with dozens of other people all carrying an American flag!  The DENFIT1776 annual run is to honor and acknowledge the men and women who founded our nation, doing so with grit, determination, and perseverance. It is our American heritage to be able-bodied and demonstrate courage in the face of adversity.  Runners will have TWO event options to choose from and will start at 7:00am on July 4th: 1776 7.76mi, and 17.76mi Challenge. The course starts from Cape Vincent East End Park and is a scenic route through the village of Cape Vincent and along the river to Tibbetts Point Lighthouse - a very flat and fast 7.76mi bringing runners back to the start line. From there, 1776Challenge runners will start a second lap. All fitness levels are welcome and encouraged to participate. Run and walk at your own pace while enjoying the view of the river and our quaint village!

What Is OUTLAST? OUTLAST is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge where runners complete a 5K every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to stay in the event. If you finish early, you rest until the next round. Miss a lap, and you’re out. Complete all six rounds, and you OUTLAST. This isn't just about speed — it's about pacing, discipline, and mental grit. A 5k run and Kids Fun Run through the beautiful streets of Glen Rock.  Athletes will enjoy running this community event on July 4th prior to the start of the parade and then get to stick around to enjoy the parade itself.   Proceeds go to benefit G.R.A.C.E.  An organization set up after 911 to provide assistance to family members of those who died in the terrorist attacks.  Today, G.R.A.C.E. continues its hard work by maintaining the 911 Memorial in town, and providing scholarship funds to High School Seniors in memory of Glen Rock's eleven victims.

What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk? The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11,2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. The Overbrook Community 5K Run & Walk will take place at the Overbrook Lake on Friday, July 4th starting at 8 a.m. *Park at the Overbrook baseball diamonds. The top three female runners and male runners in the 5K will receive medals and a prize. This is a 5.5K Run/Walk. It is an RDFI Chip timed Race that runs counterclockwise around Loon Lake for 3.4 miles with a few hills, a water stop half way and many scenic Lake views. The race proceeds/donations help our not for profit Association to keep Loon Lake beautiful and  "A fun, safe, and scenic lake community". 2026 is the 21st Annual run of the Idaho Falls FireKracker 5k, AND it is happing on the 250th Anniversary of America's Independence! We hope this year is our biggest and most special yet!  Profits from this event are donated to the Idaho Falls Military Affairs Committee.

The race starts at 7AM sharp.  Course closes at 8:30AM (18:00/mile) The race originated in 1985 as the Intercity 10K. After two years the race was changed to a 5 mile run. For years, the 5 mile run was a little longer than 5 miles. In 1993, the Lake Run club began organizing the event and made the 5 mile course accurate. The race has grown to approximately 500 runners.Discounts: LRC members receive a $3 discount.  Springfield Road Runners and Starved Rock members receive a $1 discount. It's time for Paxton's annual 5K run! Now with electronic signup AND timing! Our race will benefit the Coins for Kids Masonic charity. So come out and run, bring some change for the bucket, and let's have a great race day! We have some exciting changes this year. Including our all electronic signup and timing, we are going to be able to filter out race results by gender and age group, so everyone can see where they stack up! Registration will be $35 for early bird registration before May 1st and $40 after May 1st up until race day, July 4th. Race day registration starts at 7:00 AM at Pells Park in Paxton, with the race starting at 8:00. The cutoff to get a t-shirt will be registration by June 19th. The course will remain the same as last year.

Featuring a 4.5-mile run and a 2-mile walk/run.  The courses are flat and take place in town, with the 4.5-mile route venturing out/back on a country road.  There will be a water stop on the 4.5-mile route that will be passed twice. Every Sole Counts is a newly created organization whose mission is to empower Athletes with Special Needs by providing access to high-qualityrunning gear that meets their individual needs. Easy, mostly flat asphalt course utilizing Batesville Parks paved trail system.  The race kicks off at Liberty Park, winds through The Plex and Bill Gillespie Soccer Park toward the YMCA, passes back by Liberty Park, continues through the scenic Brum Woods, and finishes right where it started at Liberty Park. We are hosting a 50/50 split the pot raffle with proceeds benefiting Every Sole Counts. We encourage everyone to dress patriotically in celebration of America's 250 years!
