The area's largest 5k! The Beaverton Firecracker 5k is an annual timed race run/walk event that has a combination of road and trail. Every participant receives a T-shirt and a finishers medal. You must register before the deadline in order to guarantee a shirt. The race also gives awards for the top 3 races in each age division and top overall male/female. In 2019, we introduced a 1 mile fun run! This event will be open for all ages and participants will receive a finishers medal!

The Gene Bednarowski Memorial Run has traditionally been run on the 4th of July weekend, and this year is no exception to that rule. We are actually running on July 4th this year.   The event is in memory of Gene Bednarowski, a former Watervliet mentor, teacher, and coach. Proceeds support the Watervliet Track and Field Program. At one time in the history of this event, there was also a 10K race and we are hoping to bring that back this year as well, providing we can get the approval from the State of Michigan.  If the approval comes through, the race will be run through neighborhood streets, along the scenic Paw Paw Lake and through the city of Watervliet.   We are also happy to be partnering with the Fruitbelt Run Series again.  This race can now count towards the completion of Fruitbelt series, which allows competitors to run a series of 5 races which will result in a series medal.  This year's prize is a special medal commemorating the 20th year. July 4th, 2026 The 20th Annual Hungry Duck race benefit our local non-profit partners in the fight against hunger. Together we can run or walk for an incredible cause to help our community.  The course starts in downtown Brighton, continuing into local scenic areas and returning downtown to finish. The Fenton Firecracker is an annual tradition just prior to the Fenton 4TH of July Parade.  Come join us for fun and fitness, then stay for the parade! The 13th annual Fenton Firecracker 5K and 2.5K is back!  This is a great race for athletes and weekend warriors alike on July 4th.  The race begins at 9:45 am so be sure to be in place with your bib on by 9:30 am. Race starts at the Ellen Street Campus (World of Wonder) which is also the finish line! Packet pick up will be at Freedom Center Church, 2473 W. The 5K begins at 8:00am on July 4, near the Caledonia High School north entrance at 9050 Kraft Ave, Caledonia MI. The race runs throughout the campus, the Thornapple Trail, Lakeside Park, and finally heads back to the high school. All proceeds from the Kilt Klassic events benefit the Caledonia High School Men's and Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country programs. Celebrating 52 Years in 2026 This year's race will be on Saturday, July 4th. Our goal is to have another awesome event like we always do in beautiful downtown Harbor Springs on the morning of the 4th. All registered runners will get a great dry-fit shirt and can pick up on July 3rd from 4:00-5:30pm or the morning of the 4th at the Harbor Police Station.  Please do NOT arrive early or disturb the Police Station employees. The Stars and Stripes Event includes a 5K Run/Walk and a (free) Kids Fun Run. The course is paved and will take participants through the beautiful downtown of Rangeley, Maine. The scenic 5K route is challenging enough for serious runners, yet can be navigated by all age groups and athletic levels.  Leashed pets are welcome and the route is stroller friendly!  The race will start and finish with a beautiful view of the lake, at Rangeley Health and Wellness Pavilion on Dallas Hill Rd in Rangeley, Maine. Celebrate America's 250th Birthday and get your July 4th holiday moving with the Rotary Club of Westerville’s Independence Day 5K at 8 AM Saturday, July 4! As it has since 2021, the 5K will take place at the Westerville Sports Complex, 325 N. We are raising money for Selah's Grace Ministries, a local nonprofit that supports families experiencing pregnancy or infant loss and the local hospitals that serve them. Enjoy a scenic fun run in and around Red Feather Lakes, Colorado including a route through Fox Acres Golf Course! Start at and finish at The Tavern at Red Feather Lakes for an expo in the parking lot, food, beers and food in the Tavern and great company! The big Red Feather Lakes 4th of July celebration includes the craft fair in the village, an afternoon parade and a big fireworks display that evening. The Tavern at Red Feather Lakes offers live music from 7-9m with a place to view the fireworks right afterwards. This is an untimed race.

Kick off the 4th of July with a family-friendly and festive 5K.  This fun run/walk is perfect for first-time 5K participants, elite runners, kids, parents with strollers, and everyone in between-even your well behaved, leashed furry friend!  There is a  1.5 hr time limit to complete the course.  All registered participants will get an American Flag to wave while traveling down Main Street when they turn the last corner to head towards the finish line!  Registration cost includes a T-shirt, American Flag, and race bib.  Medals for the top three female and male finishers will be awarded.

Celebrate the Fourth of July with run.Windsor in Greeley, Colorado as we bring back the annual July 4th Freedom 5k walk and run, along the Greeley Stampede 4th of July Parade Route! Participants will start and finish on the route, just in time to also watch the parade as you kick off your Independence Day Celebration! The Mile, presented by Pacesetter Sports, will be held on Saturday, July 4th at Indiana State University’s Memorial Stadium.  The Mile takes place on July 4th every year. Sponsored by and a major fundraiser for the Beecher Lion's Club, the "20th Annual" race will be held on July 4, 2026 at 8 AM. Same day registration and check-in will be 7:00 - 7:45 AM. The entry fee is $18 pre-registered - race shirts are an additional $13. Race day registration is $25 (No shirts on race day). Start/Finish and Registration are at the Community Hall, located at 673 Penfield St. The race course winds through the Village of Beecher with a water station at the halfway point. The race includes accurately marked miles, computerized timing, and free refreshments after the race.  The Freedom 5K is the Lion's Club opportunity to raise funds in support of our mission to serve the Beecher Community.  The proceeds from this event will help provide vision screenings, eye glasses, and hearing aids to local residents needing financial assistance.
