The Annual Strawberry Festival 5k/8k race started by the late Mrs. Judy Christopher to inspire those in our community to run/walk to be healthy. Join us for the next leg of our Tour De South Jersey Series. This leg is another ride through  scenic bike ride through Southern New Jersey    The ride will start and end at Glasstown Brewing .  The route is full of bay views and farm country.  After the ride join us at the brewery for your complimentary beer and some post ride fun.  This will be a semi supported ride.  We will have a marked route with signs and arrows to direct you.  The route will also be available for you to download.  We will also have several aide stations on course.  Limited SAG support will also be available. *New For 2025* We are excited to announce that we will have Gradient Bike Shop on site. Founded in 1982 by the late Robert J. Aaron.   CELEBRATING 45 YEARS....... Long considered one of the east end season openers, the RJA Memorial is one of the longest, continuous triathlons on Long Island!  We will be celebrating our 45th anniversary this year.  Since Robert's death in 2002, the race has been used as a fund raiser for pancreatic Cancer Research, supporting the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer. The  Olympic race consists of a 1-mile swim, 20-mile bike and 6.2 miles run. The Aquabike consists of the 1-mile swim and 20-mile bike. The recently added Sprint triathlon consists of a 1/2-mile swim, 14-mile bike and 3.8-mile run. The Olympic race/Aquabike  goes off at 7:30am and the Sprint follows at approximately 8 am. Welcome to the Boise Marathon. The Boise Marathon will offer the summer option for our marathon series. June 20th promises to be one of the longest Boise days. Sunrise is at 6:04 a.m. and while Sunset is scheduled for 9:30 p.m., you know that Boise sun can hang in the sky until late into the evening. Join us for the Shenandoah Coal Cracker 10K! The Coal Cracker 10k is an iconic running event nestled in the heart of the Coal Region. Beginning in the center of Shenandoah (PA), runners take off through downtown Shenandoah before being met with the first of many challenging hills. The course then takes the runners through the twists, turns, and gently rolling hills of the Coal Region before taking a left turn up the infamous St. Nick's breaker. Runners will test their grit and endurance as they face this steep, seemingly endless hill. Once at the top, runners will have a 1 mile cruise downhill back into town where the finish line waits atop a short but nasty incline! Our annual 5k race will take place on June 13, 2026! If you are unable to attend in person, we are offering a virtual option again for this year. In Person Event: If you've attended our 5k in the past, it will be organized as our previous events were.  If this is your first time, here's some info! Join Big Island Road Runners on Saturday June 13, 2026 starting at 7:00 am for the Holo Kahakai Fun Run. We will mark out 3 distances- 5k, 10k and ½ marathon. This event starts at the ocean front Kahakai Park in Pahoa. You will run/walk through the dappled sunlight under the canopy of old growth mango and lauhala trees along scenic Old Govt Beach Rd! Those running the ½ marathon will run to HWY 132 then up the Hwy about 1 mile before turning around and coming back the same way. Meet at Kahakai Park in Pahoa – Run starts at 7:00 AM sharp. Event ends at 10:30 AM. Directions: From HWY 130 take Kahakai Blvd which is just past the Pahoa Roundabout. Follow to the very end where you will run into the park. The Keweenaw Chain Drive Festival is back as a Poker Run in 2026! For riders, there will be the option of a short, long, and adventure route. Once again, the short and long courses are open for runners to sign up as well! Each route will have multiple poker chip stations at random locations. Riders and runners will collect a chip from each location and submit them to find out their poker hand.  The best poker hand will win various prize packages!  The ride/run is free to enter.  If you would like to make a donation to the trails, you can do so during the registration process or at any time by clicking the Donation button at the top of this page.  All proceeds from the donations will go to supporting the Maasto Hiihto/Churning Rapids and Swedetown trails.    Be on the lookout for some new additions to the courses and bonuses from sponsors this year!   Please note that this year's event is self-supported.  There may be pop-up aid stations.
