Two loops around the lake at Munroe Falls Metro Park on the paved path. The course is hilly and paved. Kayak, bike, and run the beautiful and historic Huron National Forest, beginning in Mio Pond of the Au Sable River in Mio and ending at Boney Park in Fairview, Michigan. The Au Sable Valley Triathlon is an individual or team event, consisting of kayaking on the River backwaters, biking on paved roads, and running on grass/ dirt trails. It has been described as an intermediate-level event in terms of difficulty. This event starts at the ocean front Kahakai Park in Pahoa. You will run/walk through the dappled sunlight under the canopy of old growth mango and lauhala trees along scenic Old Govt Beach Rd! Those running the ½ marathon will run to HWY 132 then up the Hwy about 1 mile before turning around and coming back the same way. Meet at Kahakai Park in Pahoa – Run starts at 7:00 AM sharp. Event ends at 10:30 AM. Directions: From HWY 130 take Kahakai Blvd which is just past the Pahoa Roundabout. Follow to the very end where you will run into the park.
