Freedom Bike Ride

Celebrate 2025 with a bicycling odyssey through Bronzeville. The annual Freedom Bicycle Ride offers a 18.65 KM route in Chicago.  The virtual Freedom Bicycle Ride offers an 18.65 Mile challenge to be completed between June 14th through June 19th. The live route will travel through historic Bronzeville.  Route can be viewed and downloaded at the links below Route: TBA Route will may be slightly different based on road conditions during that time but similar. June 14, 2026 This race was previously named the Bald Mountain Triathlon, and was held at Bald Mountain Ski Area in 2020, but moved to Deyo Reservoir for 2021 and 2022 and was renamed in honor of the Deyo Family matriarch in 2023. The race will be located at the Deyo Reservoir outside of Weippe, Idaho. The swim will take place from the sandy beach and traverse 300 yards before transitioning to mountain bike gear and leaving the reservoir along Schmidt Mill Road to 3-mile Road to Fidler Road and then along a forested trail back to 3-mile Road and the reservoir, approximately 13 miles. The run course will be the well-travelled 2.2 mile trail around the reservoir. There will be a single transition area. Lake Placid Marathon and Half and 10K

Sunday, June 14 8am start   Cutoff time for both Marathon and Half is 2pm.  10K will run concurrently. The Half Marathon is a single loop out and back while the Marathon is a double out and back. Both races begin/end on Main St. in the charming Village of Lake Placid at the Olympic Speedskating Oval. The Marathon/Half course is a combination of flat, rolling and some hills and runners enjoy mountain views, open areas, shaded areas, a class III trout stream, and beautiful Mirror Lake along the way.  Well-stocked aid stations are available. The event offers a generous six (6) hour course limit for each race. Athlete food at the Race Finish along with a quality finisher medal and a 2026 race T-shirt are among the benefits of the race. The Rotary Club of Montgomery Rocky Hill is pleased to announce the RUN WITH ROTARY (a 5K Road Race/walk) and 1 mile Ramble/Fun walk.
