The Friends of Pine Grove Furnace are pleased to hold the Charcoal Challenge 5k Fun Run on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Pine Grove Furnace State Park.    This fundraiser is promoted by the Friends of Pine Grove Furnace for the benefit of our 501(c)(3) non-profit. The Beer Mile is an event consisting of drinking a beer, running a 1/4 mile, and repeating that process 3 more times for a total of 4 beers and 1 mile of running.  You must be 21 to participate.  You must bring ID to the event.   There will be three options to participate:  Single - 1 person drinks all the beer and runs all the laps  Double -  Find yourself a drinking buddy (and running buddy) 2 people split the running and beer drinking.  Each person must drink 2 beers and run 2 laps (1/2 mile total per person)  Quad -  This could be a good team-building exercise for your company, or softball team, or just you and three friends.  4 person team split the running and beer drinking. Robert J. Aaron Memorial Mighty Montauk Triathlon /Aquabike and Sprint

Founded in 1982 by the late Robert J. Aaron.   CELEBRATING 45 YEARS....... Long considered one of the east end season openers, the RJA Memorial is one of the longest, continuous triathlons on Long Island!  We will be celebrating our 45th anniversary this year.  Since Robert's death in 2002, the race has been used as a fund raiser for pancreatic Cancer Research, supporting the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer. The  Olympic race consists of a 1-mile swim, 20-mile bike and 6.2 miles run. The Aquabike consists of the 1-mile swim and 20-mile bike. The recently added Sprint triathlon consists of a 1/2-mile swim, 14-mile bike and 3.8-mile run. The Olympic race/Aquabike  goes off at 7:30am and the Sprint follows at approximately 8 am. RI Yacht Club 2026 Cardboard Boat Regatta

1st annual Rhode Island Yacht Club Cardboard Boat Regatta will be open to the public and held at the RIYC facilities on Ocean Avenue, Edgewood, RI in 2026 Date to be Announced.  Join us as we celebrate a day of creativity, competition, and free family fun. We will kick off a series of heats testing the engineering, ingenuity, determination, and artistry of our participants.  Launching from Stillhouse Cove, each hand made cardboard boat must hold at least two crew members, who will hopefully paddle their ship out and around a buoy and back to the beach. The City of Goose Creek Police Department is hosting the 6th annual Hot Pursuit 5K. The race will be held on June 13th at 8:00 am, starting at the Goose Creek Municipal Complex. Blue Devil Endurance Challenge

Zanesville, OH
Can you go the distance?  Come prove it in this "last-person standing" race. Every 15 minutes, participants will start a 1-mile road/sidewalk segment. If you make it back to the start/finish line before the next 15 minute horn goes off, you are still alive and go for another segment, if not, your race is over. How long can you endure?  This year's 4th Annual race features a point-to-point route starting at Zanesville Middle School and run along the paved and partially shaded Joe's Run Trail. The turnaround point is 1 mile away from the starting line. Both ends of the course will have designated rest areas stocked with drinks and snacks to enjoy while participants rest until the next 15 minute interval begins.  This event is presented by Zanesville Soccer Boosters, a non-profit 501(c)(3) supporting the Zanesville High School Boys & Girls and Zanesville Middle School Boys & Girls soccer teams.
