The Freedom for Fighters 5K Walk/Run Event is presented to Mountain Home, Idaho in honor of all who are crushed in spirit; specifically, those who carry the hidden wounds of PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and Depression. This event is brought to you by the Jason Barney Family and the City of Mountain Home.Freedom for Fighters Walk/Run is unique in that all participants will have the option to fill a back pack at the start of the race with donated canned goods representing the heavy weights that those who are 'crushed in spirit' and/or wear the hidden scars of PTSD carry on a daily basis.  We ask that each participant bring their own new back pack and canned goods with messages of inspiration on them. Jill's Run is a 5K run or walk and a kids fun run designed to honor my sister, Jill, who lost her battle with cancer as well as all those who have survived and are still fighting. The annual Freedom Bicycle Ride offers a 18.65 KM route in Chicago.  The virtual Freedom Bicycle Ride offers an 18.65 Mile challenge to be completed between June 14th through June 19th. Welcome Red Wagon Runners This is our 9th year and we continue to improve it a little more every year. Lace Up for Parks, Trails and Open Space at the 1st annual 5K run & Walk.  Adventurously enjoy a a 5K run through the trails at Heritage Park in Homer Glen. The event will be a fun filled, family friendly race for competitive runners, recreational athletes and kids.  The course will be run on the trails  at Heritage Park in Homer Glen.   The course is being developed.  It will be run on the trails at the park and be 5K (3.1 Miles) with multiple laps.  Part of the course may be run on grass too. We also offer a simple kids race (< 10 years old).  Each kid running will get swag too! Our goal is to promote local parks, trails and open space.  Proceeds will benefit the Homer Glen Community in Harmony and Nature a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization.

A Nighttime Run/Walk to Benefit Broken Together and the Pontiac Elks Lodge 1019 Veterans Fund Race around the golf course at The Oaks at River's Edge in Pontiac, IL at night in this 5K Run / 1.5 Mile Walk.  There will be a Flag Day ceremony at 7:00pm and the race will start at 9:00pm.  After the race there will be an awards ceremony, including music on the patio.  Food and drinks will be available for purchase. All 5K and 1.5 mile participants will get a t-shirt and glow necklaces.  All 5K participants will also get a finishers medal. Hosted by the Metro Milers running club, the Route 66 10K features as part of the City of Edwardsville's Route 66 Festival. The festival and race are held in Edwardsville's City Park on the same Saturday as the festival every year in June.  As of the best races in the Midwest, the Route 66 10K is regularly the RRCA's Championship 10K those years it is eligible. This event is tailored to be enjoyed by all who participate as runners, walkers, and volunteers. The PACU Foundation’s Flying Colors Charity 5K and Fun Run is a dynamic, community-focused event that centers around a timed 5K (8 a.m. start) in which participants are doused with safe, food-based color powder at various points throughout the course. Our annual 5k race will take place on June 13, 2026! If you are unable to attend in person, we are offering a virtual option again for this year. In Person Event: If you've attended our 5k in the past, it will be organized as our previous events were.  If this is your first time, here's some info! This run is topromote a healthy lifestyle, community bonding, and the love of our township. The run iscomparable to a 5K, but will be a fun path of our township, highlighting our high school and ourtownship park. Glow the Distance will first include a Kids Run, which will be open to childrenages 10 and under. Every participant in this race will win a medal upon completion of the run!Along with the children, there will be 7 additional age categories (11-15, 16-19, 20-30, 31-40,41-50, 51-60, 61+) that will run as one group, but will be broken into these groupings for the top3 runners of each age category to earn medals. The City of Goose Creek Police Department is hosting the 6th annual Hot Pursuit 5K. The race will be held on June 13th at 8:00 am, starting at the Goose Creek Municipal Complex. It will traverse paved hiker/biker trails and roadways before returning to the municipal center. A half-mile KIDS RUN follows the path around the lake, a FREE event for children. The Beer Mile is an event consisting of drinking a beer, running a 1/4 mile, and repeating that process 3 more times for a total of 4 beers and 1 mile of running.  You must be 21 to participate.  You must bring ID to the event.   There will be three options to participate:  Single - 1 person drinks all the beer and runs all the laps  Double -  Find yourself a drinking buddy (and running buddy) 2 people split the running and beer drinking.  Each person must drink 2 beers and run 2 laps (1/2 mile total per person)  Quad -  This could be a good team-building exercise for your company, or softball team, or just you and three friends.  4 person team split the running and beer drinking. 1st annual Rhode Island Yacht Club Cardboard Boat Regatta will be open to the public and held at the RIYC facilities on Ocean Avenue, Edgewood, RI in 2026 Date to be Announced.  Join us as we celebrate a day of creativity, competition, and free family fun. We will kick off a series of heats testing the engineering, ingenuity, determination, and artistry of our participants.  Launching from Stillhouse Cove, each hand made cardboard boat must hold at least two crew members, who will hopefully paddle their ship out and around a buoy and back to the beach. Boats will compete in a series of heats in competitive categories.  We expect to see the spirited competitors from Local Universities, Private and Public High Schools, Civic Organizations, and the local Restaurant and Hospitality merchants.  This will obviously be a spectacle long remembered and not to be missed.
