On March 14, Brenau University will host its annual Dempsey Dash 5K and 1K Fun Run in memory of the university’s long-time executive vice president and CFO, Wayne Dempsey. The event benefits the Wayne W. Dempsey Endowed Scholarship Fund, first funded in Dempsey’s memory in 2014 by an anonymous donor. Official Dempsey Dash T-shirts provided for all pre-registered participants by February 20. All other registered participants through race day will receive shirt while supplies last. Circles in the Park 5K - March 13, 2027 - 8:00 am - Clinton Nature Preserve, Villa Rica, GA This is our 3rd annual 5K trail run around scenic Clinton Nature Preserve in Villa Rica, GA. Medals will be given to the top 3 in each age group (10 year increments). All finishers will get a race-shirt along with snacks and drinks. Runners and walkers are both welcome. Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed and you pick up after them. Select the song to be played as you cross the finish. It must be family friendly and we cannot guarantee that it will be played, but we will try. Either way, it will be added to our Circles in the Park 5K Playlist on Spotify. The Junior League of Lancaster’s 22nd Annual Run4Luck will take place on Saturday, March 13, 2027! The 4-mile race will begin at 9 a.m. at Lancaster Country Day School. Featuring live music and free raffles, this walk/run jigs and jogs past historic homes including the famous Octagon House. The event begins and ends by Watertown's newly remodeled public library and Bentzin Family Town Square. Come join over 500 walkers and runners celebrate spring and being Irish, if only for a day! After the event, participants are invited to walk over to Lyon's Pub for traditional Irish food and beverages. All proceeds for this non-profit event support teachers and classrooms in both public and private schools. The 13th Annual Gallatin Shamrock Run takes place in the heart of Historic Downtown Gallatin. The race begins at Gallatin City Hall and winds through beautiful downtown streets on a primarily flat course, making it ideal for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Participants may choose between a 5K or 10K. The 10K will run the 5K course twice and will have 90 minutes to complete the race. The 5K will be grouped by estimated completion time and must be completed within 60 minutes. All participants must complete the race by 9:00 AM. Participants are encouraged to wear their most creative St. Patrick’s Day attire and enjoy the festivities at the start and finish areas. Prizes will be awarded to male and female finishers after the race. Awards for Best St. Patrick’s Day Costume and Most Team Spirit will be presented before the race. The City of Chesterfield's Annual Shamrock Run will take place on March 13, 2027, at the Chesterfield First Community Athletic Complex. The race will consist of a 5K or 10K race, as well as a Fun Run Race for kids! The 5k and 10K will begin at 8:30am and the Fun Run will begin at 10am. The half marathon is a gorgeous out-and-back course starting in downtown Tacoma, with a few rolling hills to keep those legs awake and working. You'll run along the waterfront until it connects to the Ruston Way Path, where you'll head towards the Point Ruston Waterwalk and Tacoma's Dune Peninsula Park. Before turning around, you'll go up the Wilson Way Bridge for a bird's eye view of the Puget Sound. The 10K is an out-and-back following along the half marathon route, starting in downtown Tacoma and running along the waterfront. The 5K is an annual tradition and fun for the whole family, runners and walkers are welcome to join in this 3.1 mile event. All finishers will receive one of our famous St. Paddy's Day Run medals.

The FBI Agents Association (FBIAA) is hosting its Third Annual local G-Man 5K and Kid's Fun Run at Choccolocco Park, Oxford, AL, benefiting the FBIAA Memorial College Fund (MCF). The Kid's Fun Run is open to kids 13 and under. All proceeds, including the sale of FBIAA merchandise associated with this event, directly support the FBIAA MCF. Since its inception, the FBIAA MCF has provided over $13 million in college scholarships to over 300 students. The FBIAA MCF supported 42 students attending 37 different colleges in the 2023 - 2024 school year by covering up to 75% of expenses, including tuition, room and board, and books. There are currently more than 95 children that the FBIAA MCF will assist once they are old enough to attend college. Unfortunately, this number continues to grow as the FBI experiences more deaths. Run for the hill of it! Come kick off St. Patrick's Day and celebrate our Courthouse community. It may only be four miles, but the Four Courts Four Miler will test your mettle. The race starts at Ireland's Four Courts in Arlington, VA. Runners will run down the Wilson Boulevard hill, turn around, and run back up the hill to finish at Four Courts where you'll start your St. Patrick's Day celebration in style and be rewarded with a tasty beverage. As the Irish saying goes, "May the road rise up to meet you." This course takes that quite literally. Registration includes a race t-shirt and a free post-race beverage provided by Four Courts. We are excited to announce that registration in now open for the annual La Habra Races ~ Family Fun Run the annual 5K Run/Walk, 1K Kiddy Run and 50-YD. Toddler Trot! The event will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the La Habra Marketplace shopping center, 1801 W. Imperial Hwy., (between Famous Footwear & La Habra Modern Dentistry). Registration includes La Habra Races medal, t-shirt, bib number, a goodie bag, and entry to the pop-up farmer’s market. There also will be vendor booths and a kids’ zone. In 2011, a group of four high school freshmen united with a shared goal: to make a lasting mark on the special needs community by supporting the Miami Learning Experience School. Their brainchild, the annual Walk With Me event, not only allowed MLE to tap into support from neighboring high schools but also served as a platform to enhance visibility, raise awareness for the special needs community, and gather funds for the various programs and resources benefiting MLE students. Since its inception, Walk With Me has witnessed remarkable growth. Drawing a crowd of over 1,000 participants each year and generating upwards of $40,000, the event has facilitated significant advancements for MLE. These strides encompass the provision of new technology, after-school programs, the establishment of a dedicated walking path, and much more. Evolving to encompass a 5K route, food trucks, games, and engaging activities, the walk's impact continues to expand, further amplifying the school's influence within the community. In addition to its financial achievements, Walk With Me has consistently nurtured the emergence of student leaders and propelled students from more than ten different schools into proactive involvement. With every passing year, the walk's guiding mission and vision rally Student Ambassadors from local schools, including MLE, to unite in a common purpose. It empowers them to discover their voices and lead by example, underscoring the event's foundations of community and inclusivity. Rather than merely walking on behalf of others, this event epitomizes a community that walks side by side with those who possess special needs.
