Healthy Mommy 5K and 10K

Come join us for a morning of family fun and exercise on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Grayson Co Middle School  ! We have a fast, flat, open road course for the Healthy Mommy 5K and 10K that begins at 8:15 am, and Water stops will be provided every mile. The Kiddie Dash (Open to kids ages 0-10 years) begins at 8:00 am and will be approximately 200 yards.  These runs honor Kristy Elmore Langdon, who lost her battle with postpartum depression and psychosis in 2014. Our goal is to raise awareness of maternal mental health issues and remember those whose lives have been impacted by mental illness. AWARE Wildlife Night Owl 5K

The Night Owl 5K is a run/walk through Panola Mountain State Park, just outside of Atlanta, with all proceeds benefitting AWARE's mission of wildlife rehabilitation and education! We accept injured and orphaned native Georgia wildlife, like an owl hit by a car or a baby opossum that lost its mom. We heal their wounds if they're injured, raise them up if they're orphaned, always with the goal of returning them to the wild. On race day, non-releasable AWARE wildlife will be there to cheer you on from the sidelines and greet you at the start/finish. You'll get pictures with the animals, a t-shirt, a chance to win medals, and more. About half our participants walk, so it's suitable for runners/walkers of all ages and skill levels. What is a Tunnel to Towers 5K?The Madison-area Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk is a non-competitive event honoring the heroic life and legacy of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter who lost his life on September 11, 2001. After learning of the attacks at the World Trade Center, Stephen strapped on his gear and ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers, where he made the ultimate sacrifice. The event is part of the National Run, Walk and Climb series sponsored by the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The event includes an opening ceremony honoring 9/11 victims and celebrating local first responders and military members who continue to serve with courage and dedication. A Run Through the ‘Woods’ is fun neighborhood road race fundraiser for Hoover Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) in the Mt. Lebanon School District, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The run/walk takes place at the elementary school.  The course goes through the scenic (and hilly) Cedarhurst Manor neighborhood of Mt. Lebanon hitting many of the ‘wood’ named streets.  The event is competitive and fun for all ages and abilities. We offer a 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk, Live Age group awards as well as sponsor filled goodie bags, photographers and water on the course, custom finisher medals, fun raffle baskets, and snacks at the finish line! Our team works with each resident to customize a support plan to ensure progress toward healing, goal setting, and appropriate outcomes. Donations from our Run for Rescue will be used to help pay counseling fees for our residents, as well as cover operational expenses.
