John 3:17 Miles for Smiles Run

The John 3:17 Ministry in Newport invites you to come May 10, 2025, to their first Miles for Smiles Run. At 3.17 miles it's got just a bit more bite than a 5K (only 3.11 miles)! Proceeds will go to the dental fund for the ladies under the ministry's care.  The route is a simple out and back from the John 3:17 staff house on Highway 145 S in Newport. Race-day registration opens at 8 a.m., and the race starts at 9. The entry fee is $30 for those 13 and older, free for children 12 and younger (choose "Child 12-Under entry" event). Awards will go to the Top 3 Men and Top 3 Women. John 3:17 offers recovery services at no charge to residents and their families on 10 rural acres on property of the Church at Remmel Community for Christ. The ministry provides Christian faith-based training in a nurturing nondenominational environment. Your participation in our various fundraising events helps us lift up these women.

Race day is officially set for Saturday, May 30, 2026.   We are proud to offer events for all fitness levels, including a half marathon, 10K run, 5K run, and a 5K fitness walk. Strollers, joggers, wagons, and baby carriers are allowed in the 5K Fitness Walk only. No bikes, scooters, skates, rollerblades, or similar items are permitted in any event due to safety/trip hazards.  For kids who want to walk or run, the minimum age for participation in the 5K or 10K is 6 years of age (on race day) and the minimum age for participation in the half marathon is 10 years of age (on race day). DINO Trail Run - Brown County State Park

Stunning terrain, challenging hills, and meticulously constructed trails. The rewards of running in the DINO Trail Run at Brown County State Park! The Brown County event has become one of the series' most popular venues. ​This is the only course this year with mile-long climbs and downhills - much different than the other races in the series. The course starts uphill for the first mile before flattening a bit. The 5k heads back downhill for a mile-long downhill to the finish. 15k will make a left turn that sends runners onto a loop containing several long climbs and descents. 15k will finish with the same long downhill as the 5k. Make it a weekend! There's plenty to do for family and friends, including swimming pool, camping, hiking, and nearby shopping and attractions of Nashville . The Wildwood Wellness Run is a 5k (3.1 miles) fundraiser dedicated to benefiting a local organization that works to make mental health care more accessible for individuals and families in financial need.  Raising awareness and support for Hope Mental Wellness Center is a meaningful way to give back to our community by making it stronger from the inside out.            This event will be held at Wildwood Park Wildwood Park in Appling, Georgia, on May 30th, 2026, with the race beginning at approximately 8:30 AM.
