Get ready to celebrate the start of summer with the School to Pool Dash & Splash — a fun-filled race for kids ages 14 and under! The event kicks off with an exciting road run through the neighborhood from Van Zant School to the Woodstream Swim Club where athletes will compete in a fun swimming race. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each age group, and every participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt. All non-members of the swim club are invited to stay for the rest of the day and will recieve a free day pass to the pool for one child and one adult. What Is OUTLAST? OUTLAST is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge where runners complete a 5K every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to stay in the event. If you finish early, you rest until the next round. Miss a lap, and you’re out. Complete all six rounds, and you OUTLAST. This isn't just about speed — it's about pacing, discipline, and mental grit. Whether you're trying to survive all six or win your division, the challenge is the same: show up each hour, push your limits, and stay in it. Each course is trail-based, with natural terrain, elevation, and unpredictable conditions. Legacy 100 is a ride through mostly back roads in the beautiful painted churches area of Texas, with our beneficiary being the Alzheimer’s Association (via Ride to End ALZ - Texas). We have multiple distances to choose from and a staggered start based on distance. There will be fresh kolaches and locally-brewed coffee before the ride (while supplies last). After the ride, a meal will be provided for all riders/volunteers, and we'll have some games such as cornhole for folks that want to relax and play. ***This is a ride, not a race, there will be no chip-timing (so as maximize money going towards life-extending research) or awards. The Plano Pacers Remembrance 5K and Kid's K will be held on May 30th, 2025 at Windhaven Meadows Park. The 5K will start at 8:00am. The Kid's K will start at about 9:00am, after the main event. Course layouts can be found here. Inactive or prospective members can click here to process membership transactions. Active members do not need to register, just show up with your chip and run. If you are a new member or don't have a chip, arrive early (before 7:30am) to pick one up from the membership table. Guest preregistration is available online here. The Scott Burgess Memorial 5k was established in 2013 to honor our own hero, SSG Scott Burgess. Scott was killed in Afghanistan in 2011 while serving in the Army's 1st Battalion, 84th Field Artillery Regiment, 170th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. All of the proceeds go to a scholarship program benefiting the youth of Robertson County where Scott was raised. The race is on June 7th, to begin with a memorial speech at 6:45 am and the playing of Taps and our National Anthem. The race starts at 7:00 am and a kids 1 mile race will immediately follow at approximately 8:00 am. The results and awards will be given out right after the kids run.  Packet pick up will be held at the City Park - Franklin on Friday night before from 5-9p and also pre-race beginning at 6:00 am. This 5k Run is a Fundraiser for Hope After Polygamy.   This is a non-profit organization aimed to provide educational scholarships for those who have broken away from Polygamy and need help getting an education.  The race will be held at Memory Grove in Salt Lake City, Utah.   A 1k Walk will also be held at the this event in same location.
