Run, walk, or stroll a 5K in a flat loop course circling Albany CA's Memorial Park and Albany High School while listening to live music from multiple bands in the fifth annual Move'n'Groove on Sunday May 31, 2026! The action kicks off with the kids-only 0.5 mile race for kids 10 years old and under in a mass start at 9:45am. The 5K starts in waves after the kids race, with the first wave (fastest runners) starting at 10:15am. This musical festival and fitness event will feature bands representing an eclectic array of diverse musical genres positioned around the course during the races playing till Noon. On-site food vendors may be present — stay tuned for news! Registration is only required for those competing in the 5K or kids race. There is no fee required to attend the event to watch the bands, enjoy the live music, or rec skate on the streets after the race! This fun community event is funded in part through the City of Albany's unique Sugar-Sweetened Beverage Tax.

The 5K Course begins on Locust Street near the PAS front entrance.  Our amazing course will take you through the beautiful Penn campus on Locust Walk to Penn Park, returning to Penn Alexander School's Locust Street finish line.  For the 5K, we are asking that runners do not bring pets or strollers on the 5K course.  Please plan to be off the course by 9:20 AM to ensure a safe start to the 1-Mile Fun Run. The 1-Mile Fun Run will go to the compass at 37th and Locust and back. The start and finish line will be on Locust Street, by the PAS playground. Strollers for the 1-Mile Fun Run are welcome.  Pets are not permitted on the 1-mile Fun Run course.

Welcome to our 5th Annual Run For Raegan Race! We are so excited for you to be joining us on this special day we created for Raegan in May of 2021.  We know she would be honored and beyond excited to participate with all her family and friends near and far. Raegan always did enjoy a good race and was known to even out run her boy-friends.  We started this race virtually with the Michael Mosier Foundation in May of 2020 when Raegan was still fighting this monster of a tumor (DIPG) The Mosiers are near and dear to our heart because not only did they lose their son Michael at the age of 6 but they were the first ones to reach out to us and have been part of our journey since. In November of 2020 after Raegan passed away we decided to become Family Partners with the Mosier's as they were merging with another Foundation called Chad Tough. The Carrs lost their son Chad at the age of 5 to DIPG. We now fight for a cure together with the Chad Tough Defeat DIPG Foundation along with over 40

This race is a virtual 5k  which serves as a fundraiser for the Jordan D. Savage Foundation, Inc. A virtual race is an event where you sign up and participate on a course of your choosing (or a treadmill). This is a great opportunity to work towards your running goals, stay healthy, and support a great cause! In 1996, Ann Knight and her friend Janet Boylan put on the very first Santa Rosa Island Triathlon. On race day, as they watched a few hundred new triathletes struggle to complete the race, they decided that a training program for new triathletes might be a good idea. And so the Mere Mortals program was born in 1997. Ann teamed up with her husband Charlie to plan for the second annual SRI Tri, and Janet took on the task of organizing a free training group for those who might want help getting ready for their first Triathlon. In those first few years, 20-30 people would meet on Pensacola Beach and work their way up from short drills of swimming, biking, and running, eventually building up to a combined practice Tri that covered the full distance of the SRI Tri on the very same course they’d use on race day. After the long flat straight it will be a right turn up 28th street hill, this uphill will give you your next downhill down High street once again. The second annual Live Free Fun Run and Festival will be hosted on May 31st, 2026 at Ice House Park (Sturgis Street) at Horn Pond, Woburn MA 01801. The event is focused on promoting awareness and empowerment surrounding mental health and substance use. The scenic 2.5 mile off-road run (or walk!) brings participants around Horn Pond, and will start and end at the Live Free Festival. At the festival, you will find food trucks, raffles, a DJ, yard games, kids' activities and more! There will also be over 25 local mental health and substance use providers hosting tables to spread awareness about their mission and services. Join use for a day of empowerment, community and fun!
