This race is a virtual 5k  which serves as a fundraiser for the Jordan D. Savage Foundation, Inc. A virtual race is an event where you sign up and participate on a course of your choosing (or a treadmill). This is a great opportunity to work towards your running goals, stay healthy, and support a great cause! In 1996, Ann Knight and her friend Janet Boylan put on the very first Santa Rosa Island Triathlon. On race day, as they watched a few hundred new triathletes struggle to complete the race, they decided that a training program for new triathletes might be a good idea. And so the Mere Mortals program was born in 1997. Ann teamed up with her husband Charlie to plan for the second annual SRI Tri, and Janet took on the task of organizing a free training group for those who might want help getting ready for their first Triathlon. In those first few years, 20-30 people would meet on Pensacola Beach and work their way up from short drills of swimming, biking, and running, eventually building up to a combined practice Tri that covered the full distance of the SRI Tri on the very same course they’d use on race day. In the years since then, Mere Mortals has grown from an informal gathering to an organized event with attendance often exceeding 200 members. It is now managed by Tri Gulf Coast, the

Welcome to our 5th Annual Run For Raegan Race! We are so excited for you to be joining us on this special day we created for Raegan in May of 2021.  We know she would be honored and beyond excited to participate with all her family and friends near and far. Raegan always did enjoy a good race and was known to even out run her boy-friends.  We started this race virtually with the Michael Mosier Foundation in May of 2020 when Raegan was still fighting this monster of a tumor (DIPG) The Mosiers are near and dear to our heart because not only did they lose their son Michael at the age of 6 but they were the first ones to reach out to us and have been part of our journey since. In November of 2020 after Raegan passed away we decided to become Family Partners with the Mosier's as they were merging with another Foundation called Chad Tough. The Carrs lost their son Chad at the age of 5 to DIPG. We now fight for a cure together with the Chad Tough Defeat DIPG Foundation along with over 40

The Elgin Valley Fox Trot 10 Mile and 5K races will take place in Elgin on May 31, 2026. This will be the 49th consecutive Elgin Valley Fox Trot which makes it one of the longest running and most popular running events in the region. The event will include a 10-Mile and 5K race with both featuring scenic USATF certified courses. New for 2026 will be a 2K Fun Walk.  There will also be a great postrace party which includes the awards presentation, an expo by our sponsors, music, dancing, free beer for all drinking age runners, great treats for the kids, and food trucks for the spectators and runners. The Ingham County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section's 11th Annual Paper Chase 5K    We are super excited because it is the 11th Anniversary of the Paper Chase this year! The race will start at Lansing Shuffle and go south along the Lansing River Trail, turn around at the halfway point, and come back. USA Triathlon coordinates a series of draft-legal racing opportunities for this purpose. While not every teenage athlete aspires to race as an elite, developing the skills associated with draft-legal triathlon at an early age — a strong swim, superior bike handling, quick transitions, and the ability to run fast off the bike — will serve all athletes well as they progress as collegiate and age group competitors.

The gently rolling hills and tidy trails of Ancient Peaks Margarita Vineyards. Start at the stunning Ancient Peaks Barn and wind your way around the vines of this beautiful venue. Ideal for runners trying to set a quick trail time, or for wandering walkers taking in the views.  Kids can run like rabbits as they race the half-mile or the 100-yard dash (6 and under), and jump for joy in the bounce house. The second annual Live Free Fun Run and Festival will be hosted on May 31st, 2026 at Ice House Park (Sturgis Street) at Horn Pond, Woburn MA 01801. The event is focused on promoting awareness and empowerment surrounding mental health and substance use. The scenic 2.5 mile off-road run (or walk!) brings participants around Horn Pond, and will start and end at the Live Free Festival. At the festival, you will find food trucks, raffles, a DJ, yard games, kids' activities and more! There will also be over 25 local mental health and substance use providers hosting tables to spread awareness about their mission and services. Join use for a day of empowerment, community and fun!

The Memory Mile Wellness Challenge is a virtual event that helps raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association’s The Longest Day.  __________________________________________________________________________________________________________   Over 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease, a brain disorder that causes a progressive decline in memory, thinking and learning.  This number is staggering but there are ways to decrease your risk for the disease- one of these is being physically active.  This challenge is to promote that healthy habit.   Research suggests, as little as 150 minutes a week of moderate-intensity aerobic activity and 2 days of strength training may reduce the risk for developing Alzheimer’s by up to 50%. We will combine all the participants' cardio minutes along with their strength training minutes to try and reach 6 million minutes… representing the over 6 million people living with Alzheimer’s.
