The Falcon 5K Run is an annual event that honors our military and commemorates Health & Wellness month. Furthermore, it encourages Airmen to improve their personal fitness and mental health through running or walking. This year the event will take place during the May UTA. It’s a family-friendly activity where participants can run or walk a 5-kilometer (5K) distance. You are encouraged people to wear appropriate fitness gear or costumes (keep it PG), to add a fun and festive element to the run. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for some outdoor exercise, the Falcon 5K Run provides an opportunity to enjoy physical activity with others. The Cops and Joggers 5K is a community‑driven race with a purpose. This year’s event proudly supports the St. Clair County Special Olympics. Seward Parks & Recreation is proud to start your race season with our annual Pink Cheeks Triathlon in Seward, Alaska! The Pink Cheeks Triathlon is open to all ability levels. Sign up by March 21st to get a custom made 2026 Pink Cheeks T-Shirt! There are two options to compete in the Pink Cheeks Triathlon: Option 1. Compete as a team. Sign up as a team that consists of 3 individuals with 1 individual competing per segment. Team competitors must be over 8 years old.Option 2. Compete as a soloist. Soloists must be aged 13 or older. We invite you to be a part of the 14th Annual Bacon Hill Bonanza!! The in-person event is a USATF sanctioned 5K or 10K. The 10K is part of the Adirondack USATF 2026 Grand Prix Series  Age group winners (5 year increments) receive a homemade pie!! Kings Chocolate Milk & homemade goodies at the finish line for all.   The 5K and 10K Road Races both start at 10:00 at the Bacon Hill Church 560 Route 32N Schuylerville, NY 12871. The Kid's 1-mile Fun Run is an out & back race starting and finishing at the church at 9:30. If you live out-of- town, or would rather not compete in an in-person event - choose one of our virtual options: For the virtual component, you select the distance you would like to run or walk - 1 mile, 5K or 10K  and also choose where you would like to run.  The Bonanza 5K and 10K Courses will be open and marked from April 1 - May 1st.  If you decide to run on the Bonanza Course, it will NOT be closed to traffic. The Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue 5K Meow-A-Thon is a 5k race and the Whisker Walk  is a 1 mile fun run/walk benefiting Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue, a no-kill, cage-free shelter for cats and kittens. The race will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Veterans Park, 4800 Valleydale Road, Hoover, AL. Veterans Park offers a varied terrain for running, including fields, trails and pavement. The race will be held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather we will operate on a delay.  Check-in begins at 7:00 am. The 5K Meow-A-Thon will start at 8:00 am. The 1 mile Whisker walk/run will start at 9:30.  This will allow time for 5k awards and to allow 5k runners to participate with family in the whisker walk! Register online through midnight May 1, 2026. Join us from anywhere for the 2026 Chapati Run Virtual 5K benefiting Terra Nova Academy and Football Club!   This virtual run supports Terra Nova Academy in Uganda, a school and soccer academy dedicated to providing high-quality education, nutritious meals, leadership development, and a safe, nurturing environment for children who might otherwise go without. A 5k in honor of our friend Derek Dexter who passed away suddenly in May of 2024. Dive into adventure at the inaugural Magic at the Mountain Open Water Swim—a premier open water race coming to beautiful Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama, in 2026! Swimmers of all levels can challenge themselves across four distance options: 0.5 mile, 1 mile, 2 mile, and 5K. Set against the stunning backdrop of Double Oak Lake, this event promises a safe, scenic, and exhilarating race experience surrounded by the natural beauty of Alabama’s largest state park.

Race starts at Peavine Parking Area. The race opens on a fast, forgiving service roa.d before dropping sharply downhill and rolling into a short, gentle climb just beyond the bridge. From there, the course turns straight up pinestraw-covered singletrack, cresting the ridge and diving back down into a flowing descent that winds its way toward the Peavine Gorge Overlook.  You’ll then tackle a technical, rocky downhill to the creek, followed by narrow, technical singletrack as you move downstream along the water. After crossing the creek, hands-on rock steps force you upward as you head back upstream. This section is technical, and downright gnarly.  As you grind deeper up the gorge, Peavine Falls comes into view, marking the heart of the course. From there, you’ll cross the creek again and climb hard once more, scrambling up to the cliffside trail. Join us for a family fun run from Inlet View Elementary out along the Coastal Trail. This race has one downhill at the beginning along N Street and is flat after that! Set an early season PR or trot with along with the whole family.  The Salmon Run is a great spring race to kick off your running season.    Inlet View Elementary is located in downtown Anchorage, and is one of the oldest, traditional neighborhood elementary schools in our town. Today, with money raised through events like the Salmon Run, we are able to provide reading tutoring, supplemental math programs, after-school Spanish classes, writing workshops, art, music and physical education assemblies as well as busses for field trips, scholarships, financial assistance for meals, and classroom support. Adams County will host its eleventh annual 5K race, and 1 mile fun run on Saturday, May 2nd at the Riverdale Regional Park which is home to the Adams County Fair.  Registration opens at 6:45 a.m., and the 5k race starts at 7:30 a.m.  The Fun Run will start 30 minutes later at 8:00 a.m.  Proceeds from the Foster Care 5K race will benefit the Foster Families of Adams County. This year's race will start at the Callahan Ballfields, meet up with Rio Grande Ave, and then through Parachute. We hope this will keep runners and traffic separate. Yes, there will be some grass and some dirt, but still all the fun! The Suicide Prevention Coalition of Garfield County is grateful for the continued support through this run, thanks to the MayFest organizers. Ride the River is a fun community bike ride for people of all ages. With distances of  20, 10, and 5 miles there is an event for every ability level. Flat tires? Squeaky brakes? International Women's Mountain Biking Day is celebrated annually on the first Saturday in May. It's a day for riders who identify as women to gather, experience, and share their stoke for mountain biking! Join us for the Canon City Pregnancy Center’s annual Walk for Life, a meaningful morning of prayer, community, and standing for life and families in Fremont County. This approximately 5K walk will wind through downtown Canon City and along Main Street, offering a peaceful and encouraging opportunity for individuals, families, and church groups to come together in support of life. New Haven Schools Foundation (NHSF) Fun Run -- raising funds for education enhancement and scholarships for New Haven Unified School District (Union City/South Hayward) public school students.  5K / Race, chip-timed, designed for serious runners, walkers, fitness-minded people, outdoor enthusiasts, and just for FUN!!! In addition to serious runners, the 5K is historically popular with walkers, and those with baby strollers. No dogs this year, due to proximity to New Haven Day. We are excited to announce The Getting Miles Athletic Club's first annual Fort Wayne Park Race Series. Participants aged 12 and under are eligible to compete in this race series.  The Derby Mile is a one mile loop of challenging dirt trails in Franke Park. Participants will start and finish at the HUB. The HUB is an outdoor recreation facility at the bottom of historic Derby Hill.   Make sure you arrive early to find a good parking spot, warm up, use the restrooms and pick up your race bib. Series participants need to return their race bibs to the packet pickup station in order to receive points for the race. You will use the same race bib for all the events.  Runners will receive the final race decal to put on their bibs at the finish line.  We are collecting non-perishable food items to help fill the local food lockers to help local families in need.The Getting Miles Athletic Club is a local organization whose goal is to provide a community for recreational athletes of all levels

Through this program, we are here to offer your child support, motivation and fun along the way!  Practices will begin promptly at 4 p.m. on Saturdays at the Smith Middle School Track (216 Addison Rd, Glastonbury, CT 06033). Practices will last about 45 minutes. After a group warm-up (stretches and running games), kids will be encouraged to run at their own pace and run as many laps as they feel comfortable running.   This is a non-competitive program so each child can run as many laps as they feel comfortable with. Come run/walk/jog the 'sweet' trails of Giddings Park in Franklin, CT on 5/2, National Truffle Day!  This chocolate truffle themed 5K race is open to all ages. (Dogs are welcome!)  In addition to the all ages race, there will also be a "Mini Chocolate Chip" 800 meter (.5 mile) fun run for kids 12 and under.  The kids fun run will start at 9:00am with the 5K Trail Run following at 9:30am. Celebrating its 41st year, the annual Sharon Classic Road Race is a 5.3 mile race that will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Festivities and activities begin at 9am, with the main race starting promptly at 10:15am. This annual event is the Sharon Day Care Center’s premier fundraising and community event bringing in runners and visitors from the tri-state area to the beautiful historic town of Sharon, CT.

The race is to benefit the Quassapaug Sailing Center, a nonprofit organization designed to provide sailing instruction and encourage and promote good fellowship between persons actively interested in sailing and water sports. Sails to trails summer camp is operated every summer to encourage sailing and outdoor activities for children. Scholarships are offered for children in need.  Race is an out and back road course starting at the Quassapaug Sailing Center. First mile is downhill, then you run back up the hill (no complaining- it’s not that steep!). No Dogs allowed!  Parking is limited- carpooling is encouraged. Race entries will be limited due to space limitations (likely that the race will sell out- sign up early!).  Awards: Overall Male and female finishers & top three in age groups 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 & 70 & up.   Race day is international Harry Potter day - come with your best costume and try to win an award.

Steel Dynamics Inc presents a Springtime Gravel race with fabulous views of well-known attractions like Garbage Mountain (the local dump) both out and inbound, ride by many pork and turkey farms, and over Numerous train tracks in this Lil more than a Metric long course. There will also be a medium-length course that cuts off the final loop at the Sag stop.  This will be an all-weather event (barring serious weather) so dress accordingly.  The course is a mix of chunky gravel, dirt roads, a bit of pavement, a few hills, and probably lots of mud.  There will be timing/placing for the top 3 in each class, course marshals, and signs to mark the route.  GPS devices ARE advised and course route files are available on RideWithGPS.  You will find yourself in the middle of Nowhere, Indiana.  Often. A community FUN RUN 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk inspired by Blaine Chandler’s light and love for others at Sundale School in Tulare. “Blaine was the heart of his family — full of light, music, faith, and service. He loved helping others, dreamed big, and lived with joy beyond his years. Blaine lived with joy and purpose beyond his years, teaching everyone around him to love big and keep smiling. Though our hearts ache, we are committed to honoring his legacy by continuing to serve and strengthen our community in his name,” -Blaine’s sister, Addyson. This race is being run for every family navigating grief, hope, and the importance of children’s mental health. Your support will help fund Blaine’s Corral at Sundale Elementary and raise awareness for children’s mental health initiatives in our community. Blaine was passionate about his school’s farm, and we hope to make it a place to shine for years to come.

Mindful Miles 5K Run/Walk aims to support mental health awareness.  With support from a grant provided by the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA), we aim to promote understanding of mental health, how to support a healthy mind, and to promote the importance of physical activity, social engagement, and connections with community resources that support positive mental health.  Start and Finish will be on the Yuba College track with an 8:30am warm-up and announcements and a 9:00am start.  Breakfast will be served at 7:30am and awards at 10:00am. Same day registrations are open and available on the day of the run; however, T-Shirts are not guaranteed if registrations are on race day. Early Packet Pickup will be available at the Yuba County Office of Education Prevention Support and Services, 1010 I street, Marysville, California, 95901.  If you are unable to make it, you may pick up your race packet in the morning from 7:30am - 8:30am at the Yuba College Track Field.
