DSP's Dash for Cancer Awareness

Delta Sigma Pi is hosting a cancer awareness 5k on May 2nd. This event is especially meaningful to us as one of our brothers recently fought and beat stage 4 testicular germ cell cancer. Seeing someone so close to us go through this has inspired us to take action to support young adults in similar situations. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Dear Jack Foundation. The clinic treats thousands of families who otherwise couldn't afford dental care at its two locations in Belton, Missouri and Harrisonville, Missouri each year. In 2025, we opened a brand-new, state-of-the-art clinic in Belton that has increased access for quality, compassionate dental care — which means more smiles to support! The Lance Cpl. Leon B. Deraps Scholarship fund gives Jamestown C-1 seniors the opportunity to receive a scholarship in his memory. Leon was a 2005 graduate of Jamestown High School. He died on May 6, 2006 while conducting combat operations in Iraq.  On Saturday, May 2, 2026 we will honor Lance Cpl. Leon B.
