She was diagnosed with ALS, and proceeds for the event will go toward the ALS Association, Mid-America Chapter. In 4 years we have raised $19,850 from Steps for Stegman. Zoo Stampede 5K Run/Walk

The Salisbury Zoo's annual Zoo Stampede 5K, sponsored by Vernon Powell Shoes, is set for Saturday, May 2nd, at 9 a.m. The race kicks off from the Salisbury Zoo's East Gate (across from the Elks Golf Club). The race will go through the Zoo and along the Salisbury City Park's greenway.  The course is primarily along a crushed-stone path. This year's event is themed for the Monarch Butterfly in celebration of our involvement with the Monarch SAFE program (Saving Animals From Extinction). This will be our third Annual Soggy Bottoms Backyard Ultra, a day to test yourself on a farmland trail loop with scenic views, rolling hills, and South Mountain in the distance. The challenge is to see how many loops you can accomplish within an allotted time. You can run, ruck, or walk the full event or tackle just half the day. Back by popular demand! Union Academy High School Student Council and the Varsity Cross Country team are partnering up with the UA Foundation to put on UA’s first ever Cardinal Color Run. Our color run is a 5-kilometer race where participants are covered in colored powder while running, walking, or jogging.
