The Rotary Club of Somerset will host its Fifth Annual Walk-Run-Ride Event on Saturday, May 2, 2026, along the Great Allegheny Passage in Rockwood (Mile 43.8). Participants can choose from a 5K Walk, 5K Run, 10K Run, or 24-mile bike ride while supporting local community projects. The race will begin at 9am and there will be a separate start for each the ride, run, and walk. The race will be out and back style with turn around markers along the trail including support teams. New for 2026, businesses are encouraged to register Workplace Teams, with the top three teams earning the chance to direct a portion of event proceeds to a Somerset County nonprofit of their choice ($300 for first place, $200 for second, and $100 for third). Never Say Never Half Marathon & 10K

Join us Saturday, May 2, 2026 in Tieton for the fifth Never Say Never!!! This race is all about YOU! Every decision we make has YOU in mind. This is a race designed for everyone from first timers to seasoned racers to all of those in-between. It is a picturesque course with one sizable hill around mile 2 followed by flat road for the rest of the 10K and rolling hills for the remainder of the Half Marathon.   There will be NINE water stations this year. Norwegian Foot March at Fairchild AFB

The Norwegian Foot March is a historic test of military marching endurance being held since 1915. The objective being to move large numbers of soldiers quickly over long distances and remain combat-ready. Fairchild AFB and the Base Honor Guard are giving military members, retiree's and civilians with base access, an opportunity to test themselves and earn the Foot March badge and certificate.  The course is a 18.64 miles and contestants are required to carry a pack containing 24.25 pounds. Weighted vests or plate carriers are not authorized for official weight, contestants must use a pack. Additionally all military contestants must wear their services combat uniform and boots. This is a swim/bike/run event for adults (19+) with developmental disabilities including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, global delays, etc. ALL abilities welcome, including those that may require the use of flotation devices, adaptive bikes, walkers, power wheelchairs, and other assistive devices. Proceeds support the Oliver Pet Assistance Fund, a Beesley Animal Foundation program providing financial assistance grants for family-owned pets needing urgent (non-emergency) veterinary treatment in Rutherford and Cannon Counties. This fund helps low-income, elderly, and underserved pet owners ensure pets receive care that prevents suffering, relinquishment, or euthanasia.
