The 70th Annual Beaufort Water Festival welcomes you to the festival’s fourth event of the year, the 5k/10k on Saturday, May 2nd 2026. The 5K/10K race will start at 8:00 AM in the beautiful town of Port Royal at the Live Oaks Park. This wonderful flat course takes you along the moss-draped giant live oaks with beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway.  The course is USATF Certified #SC18011DW     The 5k is a run or walk for $25.00 and the 10k is a run only for $30.00. Walk-up registration will be available the day of the race for $25.00 for the 5K and $30.00 for the 10K. Participants pre-registered by April 22, 2026 will receive a 70th Annual Beaufort Water Festival 5K/10K t-shirt.  Registration after April 22, 2026 and walk-up registration does not include a t-shirt. Starting and finishing in historic Downtown Morristown, the course features mild elevation changes and a scenic route. And they’re off! The Wixom Downtown Development Authority (DDA) will host the 10th annual Derby Day races on Saturday, May 2nd at Sibley Square Park located in the heart of downtown Wixom. The 2026 Derby Day races will celebrate its 10 years and utilize 5K and 10K routes that takes participants along the Michigan Airline Trail, which is part of the Great Lake to Lake Trial. The 1 Mile Fun Run will lead participants through our beautiful downtown neighborhoods.  We will have onsite registration the morning of the race starting at 8:00 am at Sibley Park. This welcoming, hands-on clinic is designed for individuals with limb loss who are curious about running, building confidence in the gym, and improving everyday mobility. No prior running or fitness experience required. The clinic is led by Sam Schaefer, an amputee himself, fitness professional, and trail runner, who brings both lived experience and professional expertise. Participants will have the opportunity to explore new prosthetic and adaptive technology, learn the fundamentals of amputee running gait, and gain practical strategies for navigating the gym and modifying exercises to meet their needs. It's low key. It's like a group run, but with swag. There's cowbells and music and camaraderie and great scenery! You can run, walk, skip, you can do it in sneakers or in sandals or in no shoes at all. This is a completely judgment free zone, and we're in it to have a good time! This is NOT a typical race!The course is mostly flat, some small inclines/declines, on a paved path that meanders by the Tennessee River, behind the campus of Chattanooga State to the Chickamauga Dam, with restrooms with toilets that flush and sinks with running water and soap. The Office 5K is a road race in Scranton, PA that passes sites featured on NBC’s “The Office.” Participants can dress up as their favorite Office character for fun and prizes. Walkers can enjoy a modified 1 mile course with special activities along the way. The race begins at 1pm on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 523 Linden Street in Scranton, in front of Backyard Ale House. Prevention Plus of Burlington County is proud to host the 4th Annual Lace Up Against Stigma 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk in partnership with the Lenape High School SADD club and Lenape High School Wellness Center. This a cross-country style route for the those participating the in 5k while the 1 mile participants will be on the track with a DJ and various vendor tables. The goal of this event is to reduce and eliminate stigmatized thinking around substance use disorder and mental health issues. This fundraiser event celebrates the Lawrence Hopewell Trail’s mission to complete its 20-mile, multi-use trail connecting Hopewell and Lawrence Townships. The timed 5K course follows a scenic route along the Lawrence Hopewell Trail. The officially certified 5k course is open to all pace levels, including walkers. The Van Cortlandt Park 50k Founded in 2023 this ultramarathon is designed for a novice to be able to safely complete while also remaining challenging for experienced runners to be able to enjoy a fast time testing their endurance. Butler of Kentucky, who fought in the War of 1812 and the Mexican-American War. The park was built on the grounds of the Butler family farm, which was begun by General Butler’s father, Percival Butler, who fought in the Revolutionary War. Still standing is the Butler-Turpin House, which was built in 1859 for Mary Eleanor Butler, niece of General Butler, and her husband Philip Turpin. Today, the Butler-Turpin House is a museum open for guided tours, featuring pieces from the family’s history.
